"Captain’s Table in Morehead City, North Carolina is a local diner you must visit. We were visiting the area, and were so in LOVE with Joey and his staff we had the pleasure to dine twice. The specials are incredible, on our first visit, I ordered beef tips, rice, fried okra, field peas. Desert was a perfectly prepared lemon meringue pie. On our second visit I ordered another special baked chicken, covered in gravy and the same sides. All the diners with me loved their food too. Homemade banana pudding, just like grandma’s, my choice of desert. They serve breakfast all day, as well as, seafood and you standard entrees. My husband reported the pork chop special was the best he had eaten. And the portion size was huge. Shrimp grits, clam chowder, seafood combos, country fried steak, burgers, BBQ. Desert comes with dinner! You will be delighted with this down home diner, the staff are a genuine as you will find."
