"This was my first and my last visit to this restaurant. The food was just ok. It lacked flavor and the portion size for carry out is small considering the price. I ordered 3 Teriyaki Chicken entrees with the upcharged of Chicken fried rice. There was no chicken in the upcharged chicken fried rice. The Teriyaki chicken tasted like some American baked chicken without any flavor. I even paid for additional teriyaki sauce and it still diid not get any better. The vegetables were over cooked which was disappointing. We also ordered several appetizers. The Basil Chicken wings was fair, the egg rolls were tiny but good and the stuffed jalapeño was flavorful and nicely cooked. We did not eat the onion soup or the iceberg side salad that complimented the meal. We purchased a few extra sauces but neither was grand. Our total bill was over $100 which isn't bad when the portion size and flavors are compatible, but what we received was small portions of bland entrees."

"I was there for lunch. If you have been to a standard Mexican restaurant during lunch, then you know what you might expect from the lunch menu. As most other places, the food came out very quickly. The rice was okay. Usually I find it to be more flavorful at other places. I otherwise had a burrito and taco. I went for the impossible beef. It was slightly overcooked but the flavor was otherwise okay. Chips and salsa were okay. I wanted a hot sauce and they actually brought me a hot sauce but I was hoping for a hot salsa. The price was okay. It was expected to be slightly higher being an upstate New York."

"Ordered take-out, Souvlaki on Stick, when I arrived home to open bag. I discovered the Souvlaki pieces were apparently taken off the stick and put on paper tray. I was expecting and prefer Souvlaki to stay on the stick for me to remove. Regardless, the pork tasted too dry. "More like Nope St Pizza. New to the neighborhood and have been trying local places. My wife and I love Mediterranean and pizza so we were eager to try Hope St Pizza. We were profoundly dissatisfied with our experience. The ambiance was probably the only thing we liked. Felt like a neighborhood family owned diner and we liked that a lot. Decor was kind of dated, seats had tears in them covered by duct tape, and the tables and floors were quite dirty. We can get over that though. The food was average. Nothing stood out to us. Not the most extensive offering of Greek or Mediterranean but I guess they do mostly pizza. The service was horrendous. We weren't even greeted by any of the staff. How hard is it to say hello when a guest walks in your store? We sat ourselves (found the cleanest table we could). Waitress didn't introduce herself or say welcome. Just dropped off menus and asked what we wanted to drink. Food took a long time to come out IMO. 45 mins in a half-full restaurant seemed long. Waitress barely checked up on us while we ate. We finished and she just dropped off the check on our table. Didn't say anything. We sat there for 45 minutes and she never came back to check on us. We had to go to the front counter just for them to tell us we had to pay at our table. We went back to our table and the waitress gave my wife attitude about the check. We paid it, left a decent tip and left fuming. Won't be going back anytime soon. Summary: Great location. Dirty. Decent food. Bad service. There are much better options on Hope St."

"Overall the place was clean and tidy. I had ordered the Arnisto Gyro which was quite delicious. The lamb was very tasty.I rated this place as a 4 as you only get one free refill on your soda. There was no music or other source of entertainment despite having a TV which was displaying the weather. "If you go to this place remember that if 6 or more people go they will charge the tip on your account, you do not have the option of leaving the percentage that you decide, they will charge you a percentage, so if you do not check the charge and leave the tip separately at the table as was my case, because it is expensive to get to this place, and they don't even tell you before you sit down that if there are 6 or more people they will charge you a percentage for the waiter. "I definitely found this pizza spot by accident and consider it my go to pizza all the way. I don’t even live in CT, yet try to frequent this location; ideally quarterly. The crust is buttery (or maybe oily), but it doesn’t matter because the cheese quality and flavor pairing of whatever tomato sauce they use is delicious. My thought is the owners are from a different part of Europe than the often-atypical Italian style of pizza, because the bread/dough is prepared differently – thus adding to the perfect way this pizza is made. The pies are smaller than a typical box – I’d say a large is more in line with Dominoes boxes (which is really a medium pizza at other Pizza shops). The oil composition can also be much, not insane, but your hands fingers will need to be properly cleaned after holding the slice. Important to note for parents of small children as on occasion oil may drip from a slice.Parking: If there's a lot of activity at your time of pickup parking can be tricky. Street is very active and there's a car wash directly across from the pizza shop, so it can be difficult to find space to cotch your vehicle."

"My meal was good, and the waitress was pleasant. Everything was great until I got to the register. For two strawberry waffles with sausages, a single strawberry waffle, a salt and pepper wels dinner, and three drinks, I noticed I was charged for an extra drink that we didn’t order, and there was also a 70-cent charge for spices. What is going on? I’ve been coming to this place for thirty years, and I’ve never been charged like this before. I was with my child and mother, so I decided not to make a scene. They did refund me for the extra drink, but I was still charged for the 52 meal ticket that I had already paid, along with the tip that my waitress had added for her service. I can't say I’m looking forward to returning, especially after this experience. Are they even aware of what’s happening?"
