"This is my first time writing a restaurant review. We visited on a Saturday evening and, despite the restaurant being quite busy, the service was satisfactory. We started with the shiitake mushroom soup, which was excellent. My partner ordered the grilled lobster tail with sea urchin, which was delightful, and we both tried different combination sushi roll platters. While the sushi was beautifully presented, we found that the excessive variety of ingredients often overwhelmed the flavors, particularly in the rolls that included mayonnaise. The only thing that elevated the experience was the soy sauce. We felt we would have preferred more traditional sushi instead. I ordered the vegetable tempura, but it was disappointing. Tempura should have a light, crispy coating, but the portion was large and the batter was thick and paste-like. It seemed either it hadn't been fried long enough or had been pre-prepared and stored in the walk-in fridge until needed. Additionally, miso soup is usually served automatically with the meal in most Japanese restaurants we've visited, but that was not the case here; everything was à la carte. The photos in the menu suggest you will have a memorable dining experience, but, unfortunately, that was not our case."
