"This is my first time writing a restaurant review. We visited on a Saturday evening and, despite the restaurant being quite busy, the service was satisfactory. We started with the shiitake mushroom soup, which was excellent. My partner ordered the grilled lobster tail with sea urchin, which was delightful, and we both tried different combination sushi roll platters. While the sushi was beautifully presented, we found that the excessive variety of ingredients often overwhelmed the flavors, particularly in the rolls that included mayonnaise. The only thing that elevated the experience was the soy sauce. We felt we would have preferred more traditional sushi instead. I ordered the vegetable tempura, but it was disappointing. Tempura should have a light, crispy coating, but the portion was large and the batter was thick and paste-like. It seemed either it hadn't been fried long enough or had been pre-prepared and stored in the walk-in fridge until needed. Additionally, miso soup is usually served automatically with the meal in most Japanese restaurants we've visited, but that was not the case here; everything was à la carte. The photos in the menu suggest you will have a memorable dining experience, but, unfortunately, that was not our case."

We were disappointed to find that they did not allow my medical alert service dog, so we decided to leave. I've heard great things about the place, which made this experience even more frustrating. Service: Dine-in | Meal type: Dinner. View menu

We went on a rainy monsoon dinner ️ we had great vegan options too here. The host was so warm. We went here for pickup but the host convinced us to dine in and it was a choice well made. Vegetarian options: Mushroom Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $1–10

The sushi here is delicious, and the menu is extensive! The cocktails and desserts are fantastic as well. There's rarely a wait, making it a bit of a hidden gem! I absolutely love this place and its overall atmosphere—it's very clean and minimalistic. This has become our go-to spot for sushi!

Excellent! Nigiri, sashimi and sushi was soooo good. Beautiful presentation. Loved the pork ravioli as an appetizer. The service is spot on, and, they’re very particular. The placement of everything on your table is important to them. I love that because I’m an organizational nerd. Wheelchair accessibility: They literally have an enclosed lift at the front door. I’m so glad I finally visited this restaurant; I really enjoyed my experience. I found out that it’s owned by the same people behind Douzo and Basho. The only reason I discovered it was because the chopsticks had Douzo covers. I loved the chef’s special, as well as the uni, edamame, gyoza, and the pistachio chocolate gelato—delicious! I would definitely come back and I had a wonderful time.

The service was decent, but I’m giving this place one star for charging high-end restaurant prices for food that tastes more like it came from a food court. They presented the bill face up, like a casual eatery, processed my card at the table, and made me tip on the screen while the server held it. I would definitely steer clear of the ramen and sushi. The waitress claimed the ramen was made with tonkatsu broth, but it was really a very Americanized shoyu with overcooked noodles. The roll I ordered was supposed to be tasty, but it just tasted like cream cheese, which I hadn’t even ordered.

"If you’re looking for some of the most flavorful, fresh, and delicious ramen, you have to check out Isshindo Ramen! If you’re a ramen fan like me, you know the KEY to a good ramen boils down to the broth and the noodles. Some places the broth is too salty or “greasy”. You don’t have that issue here.I’ve gone to many ramen spots in multiple cities and this place keeps me coming back. Every time I am in Boston I must order from here. Luckily for me, I’ll be spending part of my year in Boston- so I’ll get to enjoy it more often! The broth is super flavorful, savory, and creamy. It is made using a specially treated water and boiled pork bones. This is what gives you that amazing broth and flavor! It’s also loaded with vitamins and nutrients. It is a great option for those looking for an alternative to traditional soup! The noodles used in the ramen are a little different than other Ramen spots- and that is okay! The noodles are more straight than traditional ramen noodles you know. They cook them perfectly so they aren’t mush. The broth is packaged separate for delivery- as to keep everything fresh and hot. The noodles will continue to cook in the boiling hot broth. Some places don’t account for that and the noodles don’t hold up. This place knows the deal and factors that in. I like that.Lastly, the chashu pork is melt-in-your-mouth incredible. You get four large, soft, and delicious cuts of pork belly in your ramen. I like to break the big pieces up. They don’t skimp at all on the quality or quantity of the meat. The ramen is also generously served with Woodear mushrooms, scallion, bean sprouts, nori seaweed, and a soy egg.I have ordered delivery from here multiple times and it’s my favorite spot in town for ramen. It’s always delivered piping hot and packaged very well! The broth is packed separate, as to keep the noodles from overcooking in the hot broth. It also prevents a soggy ramen. The packaging is perfect. I’ve never had anything spill or leak. They also include chopsticks and a soup spoon. Order is always accurate. If you love ramen, you’ve got to give Isshindo a try! You won’t be disappointed.Pro Tip: I recommend a ramen for each adult. However, if you want a bit bigger portion you can add extra noodles for a small up charge- that’s what I usually do. But aside from that, portions are generous. I just like extra noodles.I look forward to eventually eating here in person. But for now- delivery has not disappointed me yet! My favorite spot for ramen!"
