"I wish I could give this hotel less than zero.. Our bed had a brown/red stain on the side of the mattress. I showed the photo to the front desk clerk. The desk clerk offered to move us to a new room, but it would not be a comparable room with a lakeview. We had some type of compressor outside our window. So, the A/C unit was noisy. The carpeting had grass stains and mud from the walkup stairs. There is no elevator. Construction workers stay at the hotel consequently their boots carry all types of matter up the staircase. So, I don’t know if the staircase gets vacuumed. There is no ice in the ice machine. To receive a picture on the TV, one would have to press a button on the back of the TV and find the correct input. There is no breakfast served and no microwave. There is complimentary coffee in the morning. There are Styrofoam cups for the coffee, but no lids. To receive a clean towel, one must bring their used towel to the front desk to get a fresh towel. The front desk did not have a fresh washcloth, so I waited for the clean one. The front desk reported that they were behind on the laundry. One of the towels which was given to me was not a bath towel, more of a hand towel. I happened to see maids in the hallway cleaning rooms. One of the maids, could not understand English, so she signaled another maid to help me. The front desk person happened to be walking by and scolded me saying, “You come to me, don’t bother them! they’re here to clean!” I spoke to the front desk when she returned to her desk, and said, “I can’t believe you to talked to me like that.” She did apologize to me. The sweet maid who spoke English, had two bath towels waiting for me when I returned to my room. I showed her that I got a bath towel from the front desk. Maids only clean a room when you check out. The local police appeared one morning. I heard the front desk say, “He checked out two days ago.” The front desk reminded us to lock our rooms. I noticed the front desk charged a cheaper rate to one guest. I asked her about it. She stated that the rates fluctuate daily. The hotel guests were interesting. We checked out two days earlier than schedule because of the conditions of the hotel and stress caused by the hotel clerk."
