"Rib City is a place I visit quite often, and overall, I enjoy the food. The quality is usually very good, but I’d say it’s a bit hit or miss depending on the day. Sometimes the restaurant is bustling with people, and other times it’s relatively quiet. It’s a small, cozy place, so when it’s busy, seating can feel a little tight. However, the food is almost always worth the wait. During my most recent visit, I ordered the St. Louis ribs, paired with corn and baked beans. The ribs were fantastic—tender, smoky, and seasoned just right. You could tell they were cooked with care and attention. The corn was sweet and cooked to perfection, adding a nice balance to the richness of the ribs. However, the baked beans were a bit of a letdown. They had a slightly off taste that I couldn’t quite put my finger on, but it wasn’t enough to ruin the meal. What really stood out during this visit was the excellent service. Even though it was a little busy, the staff were friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. Our food came out surprisingly quickly, which is always a plus. Overall, I had a great experience. Rib City is one of those places where the atmosphere, service, and food combine to create an enjoyable dining experience. While there are occasional inconsistencies, the good far outweighs the bad. I would definitely recommend trying it out, especially if you’re a fan of barbecue. For this visit, I’m giving them 4 stars!"

"The service was quick, but our server seemed either out of sorts or simply confused, and was frankly unaware of vegetarian options. For instance, there was a sculpted half jug of water on our table instead of the drinks we ordered, and I received a burger instead of the BBQ chicken I had asked for. The server also claimed the soup was vegetarian, but I could clearly see chorizo in it. This would typically warrant a low rating, but I tried to overlook the server's off day. The vegetarians in our group were excited to try the grilled Portabella mushroom burgers, only to find that the mushrooms were unavailable, leaving them with only the basic Garden Burger option. On a positive note, the burger I had was actually quite good—better than the others to be frank. The other burgers included a grilled chicken with Swiss cheese and mushrooms, but the chips served were just plain salted Lay's, which was disappointing since we were expecting proper fries. My quarter of baked chicken with BBQ sauce, along with the veggie of the day (corn) and a baked potato, was quite enjoyable, and I was relieved not to have ordered a burger in the end. The 'miner' soup came with salted crackers, which I liked. However, we had initially been told it was a vegetarian soup before I spotted the chorizo—fine for me, but not for others who avoid meat. Overall, the food was decent, even if the variety was lacking. I would say to overlook the poor service this time; we all have our off days."
