"We were in Milwaukee for a convention and noticed that Pier 106 was the only seafood restaurant around so decided to give it a try. Its right on the Riverwalk so a great location especially for those who like to sit outside (we didn't). We had great service and our meal was very good. We enjoyed an appetizer of mussels & clams which had white sauce over them - sauce reminded me of New England clam chowder - very different than what we expected but delicious. I had the stuffed salmon as my entrée and my husband had the ahi tuna - both dishes were very good. I'd recommend Pier 106 to anyone visiting Milwaukee."

"Ended up walking out before getting anything...Made a reservation ahead of time for Mothers Day at 3:30, shortly after they stopped serving their Mothers Day brunch. Even called earlier in the day to verify our reservation.The entryway was packed with people as they clearly struggled with changing over to the dinner rush, and they did not appear to actually have records of any reservations on their computer. After waiting for about 10 minutes, we were seated shortly after our reservation time. We had water at the table immediately from the busser, but otherwise received no attention from the staff.After about 25 minutes of multiple staff members completely ignoring us as they walked by, the busser brought a third bottle of water for our table and we asked if we had a server. Shortly after, a server came, and without acknowledging the delay, proceeded to take our drink and appetizer order. (When asked how we were doing, we didn 't complain and just politely said good, how are you , to which she responded I 'll let you know when I go home )After another 20 minutes of being ignored, and watching the tables that got seated just before and AFTER us receive both their drink and food orders, we gave up and got up to leave. Finally, as we walked out, we happened to walk past the server who asked again How are we doing , to which we simply said we were leaving. We told the bar staff (who did seem concerned) on our way out why we were leaving, as there was no one at the host stand.After having enjoyed both take out and eating in here previously, we were very surprised at the complete lack of service and will honestly not go back given this experience."

"I went with a group for a birthday. It was the worst service any of us had ever experienced. Our waiter only took a couple of drink orders and then left for more than 20 minutes before we checked in to take the rest of the table order. For the food we had to tell him that we had to order. Then he took 4 orders, went away and didn't come back. When we got him to come back after telling several other workers we needed to complete the order, he forgot that he had taken the first few orders. He finally took a few more orders and went, again not to every person at the table. It took 2 hours in total and the food came out at all different times. We were all honestly very confused about what was happening throughout our dinner."

"Overall very good ambience service and good if not spectacular food. Was for the first time in a few years this time for a NYE dinner at 9.30 for two. We had to start the French onion soup (good, but somewhat too sweet) and the oak squash soup (pretty but a bit bland, tastefully roasted pine nuts would have much more impact than practically tasteless raw pumpkin seeds). I had the trout that was wonderful, but the presentation was very bad (they only stacked the different vegetables and sides above) and my companion had the sea bass that was very good, but for the size of the fish themselves, which was insulting anemic especially for a $34 Entree. For the desert we had Pot de creme (very good) and Parisian Rice pudding with caramel, which was also very good, but maybe something was missing to the crowd. Some rooms are safe for improvement."

"We were immediately seated with our open table reservation. The food offerings were high quality, with great selection, in a "Waldorf Astoria" setting of elegance. The staff was very personable. In the serving line , I had asked for sugar free syrup, but they said they didn't have any. (odd I thought), so I mentioned it to my server, who promptly smiled and said, ah but I do! and went and brought back a small cup of s/f syrup. I will be going back for my husband's conference in May (coincidentally at the same hotel) and I will definitely be making a reservation...I think I'll do that right now before I forget...."

"Bistro Campagne is a friendly neighborhood restaurant in the Lincoln Square neighborhood. The bar and entrance room feels like a French bistro, venture further and it's akin to a classic French restaurant near the Champs Elysees. Bistro Campagne was available for a Friday RSVP so I felt fortunate to be seated at a table near the courtyard. The service along with staff are top notch, with wine and menu pairings. Popped open a Chenin Blanc to go along with a seafood craving and definitely hit the right notes. Notable choices at Bistro Champagne, steamed mussels, grilled halibut, croque madame and chocolate pot de creme. All were delightfully plated and coursed well. The only caveat I had was fending off bussers from cleaning our delicious mussels broth after asking several times for another baguette. Since we did not ask our server directly, it was never fired. The arrival of entrees of the Halibut and Gnocchi put baguette to rest. The Chenin Blanc accompanied both very well. We did save room for desserts of Creme Brulee and Pot de Chocolate. While the creme brulee was served to.temp with a gorgeous crust... The Pot de creme stood out as the favorite. Bistro Champagne has been a fixture in the neighborhood for over 20 years and with service and stellar menu, I definitely can't wait for another visit."

"I visited Dario 's with my family to celebrate completing my bachelor 's degree. The food was, as usual, an amazing gastronomic delight. My steak and fries were perfection made edible, and the cardamom creme brulee with mint chantilly cream was divine. The Sazerac cocktail I drank was very good, though I think the rye was a little too raw for the proportions so it came off a little heavy. However, the **** mary was not so good. The tomato juice base semeed weak and thin, like strained fluid from a can of tomatoes. The pepper and whatnot (celery salt, too, maybe? were poorly mixed and settled at the bottom of the glass before it arrived at the table. There was a smoky, tobacco taste that seemed awfully out of place as well. The **** mary was a truly minor blemish, though, and that misstep was outshone by the absolutely stellar service and the magical food. The restaurant might be considered somewhat cozy if one is used to the highway-width aisles of chain dives, but the warmth adds a certain je ne sais quoi to the experience. It empties out quickly after 9:30PM or so."

"Our dinner experience was quite disappointing. The restaurant had run out of the first three wines I selected, and two of the entrees on the menu were unavailable. Out of a dozen oysters, one was spoiled and inedible. Although our waiter offered to give us a discount on that dish, he ultimately forgot about it. My snapper special lacked flavor, and while the beef bourguignon was acceptable, it didn't stand out as anything special. The standout dish of the evening was probably the escargots, which were quite good."

"smc is now a 2 curs prix fixed Sunday brunch, which is good with us. the appetizers continue as before the beet salad, escargot, brioche, pâté etc. there are some good alternatives for a second cure, among them Belgian waffel, an omelette, sausage grotten, egg benedikt, steak frites, jam of chicken roasted in grease, and others I do not remember. there were also several specials, including a smoked forellensalat appetizer, which was absolutely fantastic. my wife had the pâté and the salmon special, both were wonderful as usual. the sausage shell was really fantastic and easy the best grits-based creation I've ever eaten. the heat was perfect enough to enjoy, but not so much that they are the taste of the sausage, seasoned and mais hidden (which is subtle enough to be buried by heavy hand heat or spicy) with excellent service and comfortable rustic environment it was just another perfect meal in our favorite restaurant."

"Oh my. I'm hunkered down in upstate NY. I miss the drunken boat. I'm at least a 10 year veteran and there were times when I was lunching at this restaurant close to every week. You always saved the corner table for me. Great food, wonderful staff and chef, and an atmosphere that is unmatched anywhere I've been in half a century. A small space where one could savor life for an hour or so. It must be so hard for all the staff that has cycled through this restaurant over the years; we wish all of you the strength to get through to the other side of this crazy time. Here's to a flute of sparkling rose, to the wonderful French Onion Soup, to six Bluepoint Oysters for my friend Stuie, or a Confit de Canard or roasted chicken with root vegetables if you are really hungry. Chef Hebert, hoping you and family are safe. Youen, Atman, Tatiana, Natalia, Chris, Samuel, Gamzai, Julian, Radda, Charlotte, Pobanna, Katia, Julia, Marguan, Eric, and the warm and smiling Nina-who I will never forget: thank you all for your service over the years, wishing you all the joy of a life well spent and hoping you are all getting through this with your finances intact. Thank you for some very fun times. Diners: If you are in NYC, think of throwing this restaurant some business. It is one worth preserving for when we come out the other side."
