"I started with the Abalone Appetizer, which is incredible. It features sliced abalone served with three of Roger's signature sauces, alongside an abalone and crab salad. Previously, the salad was presented in a real abalone shell, but now it's served in a simple glass bowl. My wife ordered oysters, and they served us five delicious oysters with a sauce on the side. We both loved them.
For my main course, I had the Sashimi Deluxe, while my wife enjoyed the Two Thumbs Up Roll along with a spicy tuna and avocado roll, opting for brown sushi rice. The sashimi is always fresh, although the selection lacks some unique items you might find at other sushi bars, like ark shell, squid, surf clam, octopus, or shiso leaves.
I've tried the hibachi a few times, and it meets expectations, but I often feel rushed at the hibachi grill. It’s best not to order starters unless your whole group occupies the grill. Roger truly excels in creating wonderful sauces for his dishes, and I would love to see him introduce some new flavors in the future."
