"My friend and I met for lunch following a long hiatus due to Covid. We were hoping to renew our occasional get-togethers at Tribeca, a place we’ve enjoyed for sometime. The service was great, but the food was totally lacking in taste, presentation and quality. Our appetizer (bruschetta) was soggy and served on a bed of limp, discolored lettuce. Our salads (California) were delivered with hard, tasteless grilled chicken and a scant serving of avocado, limp lettuce and vegetables all a disappointed and well below the quality we’ve come to expect. While our server did waive the charge for our appetizer, the entire experience was a big disappointment. No “wow” factor whatsoever"

"we weren't back in a past, but we were so glad we did. crates led us through the lunch menu and we landed on the burrata and fried artichoke to start. is delicious an understatement. our cocktails were also delicious. blut orange martini and barrel aged old granddad manhattan. we had a few before we proceed with the bacon cheese burger and hanger steak wedge. both were satisfied and filled, but we had space for the molten buttercake. it was amazing! Tom helped us to finish our lunch with a cappuccino and a black martini, we recommend it very much. crates and tom were very well informed about the menu and made the afternoon special!"

"We used to love Libertores has been disappointing last few times- last night prompted me to write this. Keep in mind we consider ourselves regulars- however the owner has got to recognize us since we recognize him- yet treated like strangers every time. That's the start- drinks....we got our bar drinks( wine and a beer) glass of water- never once did the server come check to see if we needed a refill- until we were ready for the check-Bread- is this a new rule? No refills just 4 slices for 2 people- we are Italian- bread is a huge part of the meal. Sauce- since we are repeat customers- we know that the side of pasta is always dry- so we asked for a little extra sauce- got 2 tablespoons full....and was up-charged $2.00!!!! TWO DOLLARS FOR TWO TABLESPOONS!!! No even a ladel full... BTW- we were there at 4- only patrons in the place- to say disappointed is an understatement- during this time where people chose to spend their hard earned money and get a value meal- you may be better off cooking at home- cheaper and more delicious. just saying."

"The food tonight was excellent. Truly excellent. The service left a lot to be desired. A lot. The waiter disappeared for the first minutes I was there. Not even so much as a glass of water when the food started to arrived, the service improved. Then the waiter disappeared again. For close to minutes. I wanted a cup of coffee. No waiter anywhere in sight. I finally got up to go find a waiter (preferably my waiter) and by the time I found him I was so frustrated I could not think about what I had wanted, just thapt he was nowhere to be found. I told the waiter that our meals were excellent, but the poor service really spoiled an otherwise lovely evening. The waiter said that he had been in back" (whatever that means). I told him that I had no idea why he had "been in back", and I could not imagine why is should be OK for him to disappear for so long. After I had spoken with our waiter, the gentleman at the table next to me got up and told the waiter that he seconded what I had already said"

"I had high expectations with the reviews. Planned accordingly and made a reservation. Seating was easy and not crowded at all. Ordered crab dip as an appetizer and was surprised to have it served in a soup bowl. The consistency was so thick it didn’t even fall off the spoon. The flavor was good but would have loved to see it in a flatter dish with some cheese on top. For dinner I order the filet medium. My steak was over cooked and lacking flavor. The other half ordered the crab cake sandwich. The crab cake was the thinnest, flattest crab cake I had ever seen. Parmesan crusted salmon was also ordered and came to the table burnt on the outside. When sent back and asking for plain salmon it came back to the table under cooked."

"I visited Washington, D.C. last August and was invited to James Hoban's for a drink. We ended up using it as our base to explore the city. Fitz and the guys were incredibly welcoming and made the experience even better."

"Waiting to be seated took a long time, even after I mentioned to the hostess that I had joined the waitlist. Once we finally got to our table, we had to wait another 10 minutes for a server to come over. When she did, her approach was quite abrupt—she jumped right in with “What do you want?” instead of offering any sort of greeting. However, once we placed our orders, things improved. The food arrived promptly, but the chicken fajitas lacked flavor. On the bright side, the elotes were fantastic!"

"We celebrated a birthday at Trummer's last night. The food was fantastic, as always. Drinks were great, though the bar was very slow for some reason. Our server, Justin, was wonderful-friendly and timely, keeping up with the different courses and beverages throughout the evening. He brought out a lovely birthday dessert for us to share, compliments of the house. Noise level was moderate, not crazy loud but not whisper quiet. We were in the smaller upper room which tends to be more intimate than the main dining areas (but can be loud due to the smaller space if you happen to have a loud party nearby). Overall, a fabulous evening with delicious food and drinks. It's always a treat dining at Trummer's."

"Great customer service. Great fancy drinks. Gave us complementary sparkling wine for my birthday. You could tell the staff works well together as a team. Collard greens were good and spicy. Snapper was good, crab cakes were delicious. My boyfriend really enjoyed the baked oysters. Gave complementary bread with garlic butter. Food came out fast. But the desert took a a minute but it was being baked fresh so they gave us free wine for the wait. Enjoyed the jazz music being played. Everything was great. Would recommend."

"I met a business associate for lunch, and made reservations. According to the restaurant listing (The staff will seat you even if you don't have reservations, but apparently the place is well known and well regarded so reservations are a good idea). The staff was very friendly and courteous (even gave me driving directions once I was close by, since I am new to the area and had never been there). The food tasted great (She crab soup was very good) and we had to wait less than 10 minutes before the rest of our meal was served. I was impressed with how quickly and efficiently we were served. The atmosphere was very classy, elegant and lighting and decor were pleasant. The wait staff were all wearing button up shirts, ties and white aprons, and they were friendly, responsive and very knowledgeable about the menu. The food prices were quite reasonable, and I would say that overall it was a great dining experience. Certainly, this is one of the nice restaurants in the Triangle area. I highly recommend it!"

"I had the Ribeye, mashed potatoes, and broccoli. Steak was delicious and cooked perfectly to Med Rare, but the cap on the ribeye, most people's favorite part, was very small and mostly fat and tendon. Mashed potatoes were tasty but room temperature. Broccoli was a healthy portion, warm, and very good. I sat at the bar and had a nice beer on tap. I'd eat here again, the steak really was good, but I'd hope for a better c"

"Was the first time my wife and a I had been to this restaurant. I had a cat fish sandwich special that was very good. My wife had Arugula salad and added shrimp and she enjoyed her meal also. We saw the waitress maybe twice at the beginning, once during the meal, and once for the check. Restaurant is OK the food will bring us back."

"Was surprised to find there was a brief wait for lunch at 1pm on a Thursday but once we were seated, I quickly realized why. The food was so good! Easily the best brussel sprouts I've ever had, and I don't even like brussel sprouts! The surf and turf burger was amazing! Excellent service, laid back (despite being busy) atmosphere. Feels like the quintessential hole-in-the-wall gem. Will definitely go back. Looking forward to trying other meals as well (I've heard they're known for their breakfast. Can't wait to find out)."

"Food is amazing had the crab tostada and was the best ever. However for a restaurant at this level it the service and attention to detail was red lobster. Dirty knife with big bits of food left on it. Dinner plate with big chip off the plate clearly visible. Wine served after the meal is 80% done. Better service and attention at red lobster than this. Super noisy atmosphere. So disappointed. For the same money much more enjoyable experiences in Houston elsewhere."
