"As I opened the first window, a woman from a nearby table came over and aggressively closed it without saying a word. I assumed she wanted to minimize the noise from the bar, so I moved to another window and checked with that table. They agreed to let me open it, but the same woman got up and shut it again, this time giving me an unpleasant glare. When I reopened it, I explained that the guests at the table were fine with it. At this point, it was evident that this woman was either heavily intoxicated or under the influence of something because she was struggling to stand and her eyes were barely open. To my shock, she revealed that she was the owner and forbade me from opening the windows. I told her that if she wouldn't turn on the air conditioning or allow the windows to be opened, I wouldn’t be paying my bill, as her behavior was completely unprofessional. Her husband, who also claimed to be an owner, approached and said he’d cover my bill, but his demeanor was far from polite. I later learned he also instructed the bartender not to serve us anymore, which was absurd since we had only had two drinks and were clearly not impaired. The bartender, sympathetic to our situation, chose to disregard the owner's directive. When I asked for my bill at the end of the night, hoping to leave a good tip for the bartender, I was shocked to see a charge of $150. I called the bartender over and reminded him that the owner had promised to cover my bill. He explained that although he took some drinks off, I was still expected to pay. Unfortunately, by that time, the owners had left, leaving no one to address the issue. Not wanting to create a scene or give the bartender a hard time, I paid it, but I will never return. This is not the kind of establishment I can support. They don’t care about their customers and exhibit classless, rude behavior."

"New to the area and dealing with a nasty cold, I sought the area 's best wings and the Colonial was amongst the highest regarded. While generally very much against a first dining experience being take out, the circumstances and my own desire to reduce my germ spreading warranted it. My lovely assistant in life brought home the goods (thanks dear) and we got to digging in: here 's the rub (or the sauce, in this case anyway): Pros: Some of the cleanest and nicest takeout packing I 've seen (see pics). Especially for a food as messy as wings, I was pleased to not have greasy styrofoam lock-lid containers. The Colonial logo stickers sealing the take-out boxes was a nice touch. Nicely sized wings with a variety of flats and drums. Meaty and satisfying- not the best I 've seen, but pretty decent. Two great sauces out of three. The classic medium was tangy and spicy, and the house sauce had a sweet vinegary taste that was interesting and kept you coming back (my favorite). The bang-bang was a pass for me, especially the confusing addition of sesame seeds on chicken wings. Cons: The wings were decent sized but could have been bigger- if we are looking for max value. Most places I 've lived, the top wing spots set themselves apart by being selective on their chicken, and clientele will pay for the difference. While these were not scrawny, I would have felt more consecrated in the best wings in Bing claim if they were large and meaty across the board. Amongst the stellar packaging, I really have no idea why sides of blue cheese were placed face down inside a cardboard container alongside dripping, freshly sauced wings. Fishing around in wing sauce to get your dressing isn 't my idea of a good time, and I also don 't really care for Blue cheese heated incidentally by close proximity to freshly fried wings. These could have been packed separately in our bag and I can 't find any good reason for the obviously intentional placement of the dressing in with our food. Consensus: Not sure this place is dethroning any other large city 's top wing spots, but they 're a strong first visit for this favorite of mine in Binghamton and I 'll be back to try other menu entries."

"Today I was reminded don 't judge a book by its cover... I have walked by and driven by this restaurant multiple times. I have even heard live music when walking by (at least twice) but never decided to dine here until today and I 'm so glad that I made the choice to do so.When we walked up to the restaurant, 2 men greeted us (after we were seated inside we saw that they were musicians); when we entered, I surveyed the restaurant slowly looking for signage or something to try and figure out if we should seat ourselves but as we made our way to the rear seating section, a waitress asked if we were dining in we were so she advised us to seat ourselves. Once seated she came to our table with menus; it didn 't take long for us to order. We both ordered Pomegranate lemonade to drink and for our main dishes my hubby ordered the fish and grits and I ordered a veggie omelette with cheese, which came with a side of home fries and I added a side of turkey bacon (requested to be cooked well) and my hubby also ordered a side of French toast. Everything was delicious and yes, I sampled his food too (lol)! My favorite was the fish (he ordered Whiting; Swai was also an option). The texture and flavor of the fish was perfect; the grits were already seasoned (to our liking). The veggie omelette was good but I should 've said light on the cheese because it was a tad too cheesy for me but it was still very good. The turkey bacon was also cooked per my request and the home fries were also a good texture and seasoned to my satisfaction. Almost forgot the French toast, which was very flavorful. Last, shortly after we ordered the band began to play I think they played a 30 45 minute set, which sounded great.Based on the service, the prices, the taste of the food and the entertainment, I WILL be back!"
