"Absolutely love Los Pitayos. I've been coming here to eat ever since I was a child and it was named something else. The food is always very delicious and reasonably priced. The staff are so great, friendly, and efficient. The owner is very nice and always greets me when coming in. I eat here in person and order a lot of Doordash from here and it never disappoints. Chori Pollo is one of my favorite dishes of all time. Best Mexican restaurant in Troy."

"Food was really good however we were not greeted and had to find a waiter after several minutes and our drinks were not correct twice when our server came out both times. And 2 of us asked for our meals to go and it was still served on plates out of a group of 3 and no one else in the establishment. We saw the to go boxes and boxed it ourselves. I would go again for the food but would not be inclined to because of the service. Service: Dine in"

"I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant; it exceeded my expectations! The food was delicious, and the portions were quite generous. We decided to share a plate, and our server thoughtfully split the dishes for us, which was a nice touch. The salsa had a delightful smoky flavor from being roasted, and the chips were a good amount as well. I was a bit surprised that they charged for chips and salsa, considering it's a Mexican cantina. The Long Island I ordered was decent but could have used more flavor—though it wasn't terrible. The atmosphere was lively and busy, but I definitely plan to return. While it is a bit pricey for a cantina, it's still fairly reasonable. I would recommend this place!"

"If you love cheese, this is the place. We came here for a group event and it was fairly large that I don?t remember everything we ordered. With that said, the queso trio is kinda cool coz you can get a premium queso (we got fried jalapeño queso but thebean one looked cool too) and they give you a plain and spicy habanero queso . Those are amazing! Guacamole is great, butportion is a bit tiny. The pried avocado taco was insane but the veggie enchiladas were meh!"

"We had six girls join for brunch and it was a first time for most. Twenty minutes after being sat, we still hadn’t been greeted or been given waters (it was degrees outside too). I had to go to the host stand and request service, took an additonal minutes. The server brought water but was too busy to take our order. He eventually came back and we ordered drinks and appetizers. He eventually came back again and we ordered our meals and inquired about the appetizers. He had forgotten to put them in. Those eventually came and then half of our meals were brought out before the others so we had to ask him to check on the other half of the food and those eventually came. We never got water refills until our meal ended and he never asked if we wanted a second drink. He also did not recommend any menu items or try to upsell us. Very disappointed, will not return for meals. I am embarrassed because I told my girlfriends that this was a Nick Badovinus restaurant concept and surely the food and service would be excellent. Really hope they can turn it around as it could be a great neighborhood spot if the service was better."

"Upscale fine Mexican restaurant with a fantastic outdoor seating arrangement, out of this world cocktails, and very unique Mexican dishes ranging from prime rib tacos to crab enchiladas. Everything here has a unique fine dining twist. The drinks are just so fine tuned that I can’t complain about anything. I highly recommend the margarita with mezcal or the daiquiri. The food is also amazing, and I highly recommend any of the enchilada dishes, but honestly. Everything looked good. Parking can be tough, so be prepared to walk a bit from public parking. There’s outdoor and indoor seating. Make sure to make a reservation so you can sit where you’d like. They are busy and short staffed, so be prepared when you come! One of the best Mexican dining experiences I’ve had!"

"Good restaurant. Very large seating area with a cantina style Mexican atmosphere. Lots of tables and a large bar area and nice views of the nearby lake. Typical chain restaurant menu of tacos, burritos, fajitas, chimichangas, enchiladas, etc. Decent menu of drinks and margaritas. No happy hour or Taco Tuesday specials that we could find (we do a Taco Tuesday group). Food was good. Well seasoned and served hot. Not great. Just good. We liked the chips and salsa. The queso was runny and not much flavor. We had a variety of entrees from taco salad to fajitas to shrimp and the beef brisket tacos. Kind of what you would expect from a large kitchen churning out prepped meals with refried beans rice. The food was good but lacked the “pop” of flavor normally associated with Mexican food."

"I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The atmosphere was upbeat and the service was excellent. I asked for recommendations from the staff, which is something I don't normally do at Taco John's, and they even let me sample a few options before deciding. The service was quick and they brought the food directly to our table, rather than calling it out loudly. Overall, it was a great dining experience."

"We've never had such a horrible experience here. Ordered 3 mushroom Swiss burgers... all 3 looked pathetic, like they had been under a heating lamp for a week. Barely any mushrooms and the ones on it looked like they were asking to die. No flavor, Luke warm, and dry as a fart. Waiter came by several times, bur because he couldn't get the order right, couldn't get us refills, and there were 4 tables in the whole restaurant so really there was no excuse. 18% gratuity for nasty food and the worst service ever. I won't be returning here. They used to be great. Now they are grrrrrrrrr!!!!! Do NOT recommend"

The bar is separate from the main dining area, but you can easily grab a drink to bring back to your table. The aromas in the restaurant are always delightful. The breakfast options are outstanding, and I particularly enjoy the brisket tacos paired with a mimosa. "When I called again, a man answered but also struggled to understand that I was inquiring about my already paid delivery. He suggested that I come to the restaurant to place my order, which was baffling. It seems that the staff might not even be aware that they are listed on Grubhub and may not be seeing the orders. Eventually, Grubhub canceled our order and issued a refund, and we ended up having to eat from a different place at 8:30 instead of the expected 7:00. I really think they should consider disabling their Grubhub account altogether."

"We came here while enjoying the Day of the Dead festivities. The line was long, understandably, but we were able to peruse the menu at lengths before ordering. I got the tostada which was topped with a mound of lettuce with some Pan fried soy crumbles and avocado. When I asked for the soy option, they were prompted to ask whether I wanted cheese or sour cream, which I declined. Having vegan versions of cheese would have made this better, but I was happy enough. My partner had the pepian mole with a soy enchilada. Not sure if that sauce was Vegan (we didn't ask, but traditionally it should be), but it was off menu and still delicious."
