"On a positive note, the ambiance is charming, though there was a rather unusual singer performing during our visit. As for the food, the bread was passable, but that’s where the compliments end. While the pasta and chicken were cooked properly, both lacked seasoning, resulting in an overall bland dish. I’ve never dined at an Italian restaurant without being offered fresh parmesan cheese, and the chicken piccata was sadly devoid of lemon flavor, with no fresh lemon on the side. And where were the capers? This restaurant claims to be Italian, but it feels more like an American eatery trying to mimic an Italian experience. If you’re okay with navigating lots of stairs, can tolerate slow and ineffective service, and don’t mind bland food in a cute setting, then this place might be for you."

"Not a very good experience. Went in for a quick bite, 2 burgers, 2 drinks. the first burger came out pretty fast, about 10 min after we ordered. We still didnt have silverware, after mentioning this to the server, he went away to go get some, after a few more minutes, I got up and got some from the check in staff. The second burger came out after another 15 -20 min, fries were hardly cooked, pale and soft. no refill on water, second beer never made it, regular coke got refilled with diet. Overall pretty bad experience, we did alert management when we left, who told us they would get back to us, to this day, that still hasn 't happened."

"They claim to be an Italian restaurant. As an Italian who has enjoyed Italian cuisine my whole life, ranging from the best to the worst, I must say this place falls at the bottom. I ordered a custom calzone with spinach and ricotta cheese, but they added mushrooms without my request. There was only a small amount of ricotta, a few spinach leaves, and an overwhelming amount of garlic. The garlic seemed to be the kind that comes pre-minced in a jar. The calzone was also very small and soaked in oil. For $14, it was a disappointment. I don't usually write reviews, but I felt compelled to share my experience. I ordered delivery from Grubhub, but if I had dined in I would have spoken to the manager immediately. Think twice before ordering from here. There are many great Italian restaurants in Palm Springs, but this is not one of them."

"The biggest letdown, and a major faux pas for a sushi restaurant, was the use of wasabi packets. I expect that when I buy sushi from a grocery store, not from a restaurant that prides itself on fresh offerings. The wasabi in those packets is often overly salty and completely overwhelms the delicate flavors of the sushi. When I'm paying over $60 for sushi, I want real wasabi, not a cheap shortcut. Additionally, the dragon roll I ordered was excessively sweet to the point that I couldn't finish it, which was particularly disappointing since it was the most expensive roll I picked. Overall, I doubt I’ll be ordering from them again. Instead, I'll cherish the good memories from when I first tried their food and look for better options elsewhere."

"Couldn't have asked for a better late night pizza spot. For those degeneracy hours and you just want to be taken care of by a hot gooey slice of cheese. The cashiers sometimes look stand-offish but they're super polite and friendly. Went out of their way to get me a hot slice of the pizza I wanted so I really appreciate that. It could have been because I was dead tired but this pizza hit the spot better than anything else could have that night. There was a girl that seemed like she had 7 shots too many and threw up everywhere too.... and the servers were just heroes that took care of everything and ever gave extra food and water to her. Food: 8/10 Atmosphere: 3/10 Service: 9/10 Value: 9/10"

"Our first time eating at a Pedal Haus location, and based on this visit, we'll be back. The patio was massive with fantastic misters, so we felt safe eating outside at the restaurant even with it being an extreme heat warning kind of day. Service wasstellar. Seriously, outstanding. We never wanted for anything. I had a Haus Margarita while my husband had two of their amberbeers. We started things off with a giant pretzel. It looked good in the pictures online, and it lived up to the hype. It was sohot I almost burned my fingers in my eagerness to tear off a piece. All of the accompanying dips were good, but that maplebutter is something magical. I had the prosciutto burrata for my main course. The flavors were great, everything fresh. I'mcheese obsessed, so I was a touch disappointed that the burrata was cold and stiff without a runny middle, but it was stillgreat with the greens. My husband had the Hatch burger. His meal came with a massive amount of fries generously adorned withgarlic. It was a vampire killer of a dish and he loved it. To cap off the fine experience, the check was paid off with ease,and our parking was validated at the host stand within a matter of seconds. I'd be happy to come here again."

"After being seated by the hostess, I said thank you and received no response, only a look of, I don't wanna be here type vibe, like the whole world was irritating her. I ordered a side salad, and when the lady brought it out to me she had started to walk away and I had to tell her I needed a fork. She brings back the fork and starts to walk away again when I noticed I needed a napkin also. So she had to run back and get a napkin for me. There were no utensils, napkins, or sauces. I dnt understand why this stuff was not already on the table. While I'm eating my, I am barely halfway through the salad when they brought out my main meal which was a Hawaiian burger with no fries. I had assumed that burgers come with fries. Just because I ordered a side salad doesn't mean that I didn't want the fries also. That should have been clarified. When I got my fries, they were hot, but the texture was chewy instead of crispy. Its like they were sitting under the heating lamp and not made fresh. The burger was ok, maybe ease up on the amount of sauce being put on the burger. Overall, the energy of this place was soo drab and negative. This place wasn't even busy. My waitress was just nice enough and even though I gave some bad feedback, I still left a tip. I believe if the hostess didn't have such a negative snotty vibe about her, I think I could've been ok with everything else. First impressions are a must in my book. Be a little more cheerful when you're greeting guests next time, it will set the tone for a customer having a bad experience or a great enjoyable experience. Don't believe I will be back here."

"We visited Public Kitchen for the first time to celebrate our graduation, arriving well ahead of our 5:15 reservation. To our surprise, the restaurant was quite empty, allowing us to sit at a window table with a lovely view of the park. Our server offered some great menu suggestions, and we started off with a delicious meat and cheese board, which everyone enjoyed. My mom was really getting into her drinks. When our server asked what brought us in, we shared that it was a celebration for my graduation. While nothing special was done to mark the occasion, I didn't expect it and wasn't disappointed. I just thought I’d mention it in case the restaurant wants to consider something similar for future celebrations."

"We had a wonderful experience at Saddle Ranch! Our server, Karen, was incredibly attentive and sweet. Unfortunately, my friend forgot her ID, and Karen informed us that she couldn't serve us until it was presented. We completely understood the situation, but my friend was really enjoying the Ranch Mai Tai, so she went home to retrieve her ID. While we waited, Karen kindly offered to hold our food order until my friend returned and frequently checked in on us to make sure everything was okay. She was just so nice! The service was excellent, and the food was delicious. My friend ordered a BBQ burger and absolutely loved it, while I had the filet mignon and the roasted garlic toast (which had an extra charge), and I found it to be delightful! The food and drinks were spectacular. We rate it a 10/10 and will definitely be back!"

"I made reservations for a party of 6 and we came on Sunday, August 21, 2022 at 1:00 PM and was seated right away. The host did not look pleasant nor happy to see us. The restaurant itself is very clean and has a huge open space. Our problem began andended with our waiter, L. Forgot his name (irrelevant anyways as he forgot about us the entire time) but remembered his entireappearance, demeanor, and customer service skills. He has a scruffy beard and was wearing denim with dark pants from head totoe. He ran through the specials in a monotone voice as if he was telling us to leave while we still had the chance. Drinks wereordered and the $13 glazed Italian donut French toast came out in fifteen minutes. He said he would get us plates, forgot, andanother waitress got us plates ten minutes later, which by the time that happened, the food was cold. We ordered our foodwhich came in thirty minutes. Fine, whatever, it was busy. Our group rated the food 7/10 as the chicken parm was delicious.However, the parmesan rigatoni was cold and bland. Every time we asked for a refill, or a bag, or the check, our lovely waiterwould make one round around the whole restaurant, talk to people, stop for ten minutes to watch football, make eye contact withme and walk away. Our favorite part was when he was ringing us up, stopped to watch football, get a bag, watch football, ring usup, repeatedly turn his head back to watch football and we eventually got to leave. If we needed something, it took at least tenminutes to get his short attention span going. No one looks happy to be there, so why should we? We still tipped 20% regardlessas it is still a service however none of us will be returning nor recommending people there. Why even bother coming to wastetime and not even enjoy ourselves? Minus four stars for the customer service, wait time, and saving the best for last ourlovely waiter, L."

"Went with a friend to watch the soccer game on a friday afternoon. Food was good, drinks were good, plenty of screens for easy viewing. Ive seen reviews complaining about wait staff but when I arrived I notice there is a button to summon the waitstaff on the table. Button works and bus staff are always around if wait staff isn't. "Unfortunately my group of friends and I did not enjoy our experience at Sadddle Ranch Costa Mesa. For how much staff and how not crowded the restaurant was, we received very poor service. We waited over an hour for our food and were not attended to very often considering it was Sunday brunch. We were seated on the patio and fully understand there were two large parties on the patio, but the manager only had one server helping the two parties and us, with each table having more than 15 people (we had 5) while inside was empty. We talked to the manager and were trying to be very understanding, but the manager did not seem interested in any of our concerns. He offered to send out desserts to make up for cold food we waited an hour and 20 minutes for (we were a party of 5). The waiter, Michael was trying his best to help us, but seemed to have no support. We even asked for the manager to come out with the bill because even the promised desserts never made it out and according to our waiter the manager didn’t have time to speak with us again. We appreciate the waiter’s effort, but see still very disappointed and will not be returning to this location."

"I took a business guest there, based on past experience and I raved to him ahead of time about how good it was. He got the combo plate with pulled pork and the brisket and I ordered the brisket with coleslaw and french fries. I asked for the fries to be extra crispy and was very specific about that.  I had intended to order the brisket with no barbecue sauce and realized my error when the waiter delivered our food and there was sauce on the brisket. Thank heavens there was, because the brisket was dry as a bone. It looked like it had been sitting under a heat lamp for a couple of hours. Same with my guest’s brisket and we were both extremely disappointed. Also, the french fries were mostly soggy to begin with and even more so sitting in the sauce. I’ll probably apologize to him three or four times and he finally said that at least his pulled pork was good.  It looked like it had been sitting under a heat lamp for a couple of hours."

"My husband and I had lunch at Table 9 this afternoon. Having lived in the area for a few years, we had always wanted to try it out, and we were not disappointed! I ordered the crab cake hot sandwich with sweet potatoes, while my husband had a bleu cheeseburger topped with bacon and regular fries. The portions were generous, and the food was fresh and delicious; we even took some home! As a former server, I have to say I was truly impressed by the staff. Our server, Lucas, was phenomenal, and all the waitstaff were friendly and attentive. It’s been a long time since I experienced such excellent service. I would definitely return on my own and will certainly be back for casual meals and future special occasions!"

"Thanksgiving at Saddle Ranch was great; food and service were wonderful and the value is wonderful. ONE THING, and I know this is not a big deal but, we had to wait over 20 minutes to get our dessert and it was not served as advertised. The apple pie did not come with ice cream and the pumpkin pie did not come with whipped cream. We asked the server and he said he also thought we should have gotten ice cream and whipped cream but the kitchen told him no. Why did we have to wait so long for dessert and why was it not served as advertised?"
