"For starters, we got the crispy bacon balls (which surprisingly appeared despite being told they were unavailable), tater tots, and deviled eggs. The bacon balls were smothered in a honey maple syrup that overpowered the dish. Once we wiped off some of the syrup, it was okay, but it was just far too sweet. The tater tots were rather bland; they were large, which made the outside nice and crispy, but the inside was mushy and flavorless. The deviled eggs were also quite plain and lacked any distinct taste.
For our entrees, we tried the salmon Benedict, spicy sausage and dumplings, and chicken-fried chicken. Unfortunately, none of the dishes impressed us—they all fell flat in terms of flavor. Overall, we were disappointed with our meal. The restaurant earned two stars for the drinks and because the bartender was kind enough to offer us his umbrella when it started pouring. We probably won’t return for the food, but we might stop by for a drink."
