"I really don't like leaving poor reviews, however I was disappointed! We showed up about five minutes early. Upon arriving, had to wait in line just to speak to the greeter. When we got to the front of the line, the greeter found the reservation, and informed us that we'd have to wait 10-15 minutes. We inquired if it'd be a true 10-15 or would it be longer? She assured us that it'd be 10-15, confirmed my phone number and said she'd text me when ready. took almost 45 minutes before I received the text! We were seated in a too small table for 4 people, and in the middle of a high traffic area. The table had only three chairs, the seater said that she'd be right back with another chair and disappeared! Leaving us to find our own chair. The food was good, nothing spectacular, but good, (except the prawns, they were just awesome! , the rest was good, but for the prices... meh... I wouldn't complain about the food or value if it weren't for the lousy service waiting for and then recieving an unprepared table..."

"Edge of the Woods has a wonderful selection of fresh produce and the largest vegan/vegetarian meal fixes around. The cosmetic section is full of organic, cruelty free products. The vitamin selection is overwhelmingly vast with any supplement you could wish for. There is a great selection of natural herbs, oils, self love and care products. Not to mention the book section!! I am in heaven! There is a wonderful selection of organic clothing, and the vegan/vegetarian bakery and deli is out of this world. Truly a great place!"

"I mean this is a kind of a cool place to visit but I couldn’t come here constantly. It’s a real small spot, the food portions are on the smaller size for a diner, the atmosphere was cool but it didn’t really hit home for me because they have alot of vintage old machines just laying around, it makes you feel as if your having breakfast in your grandparents cluttered garage or storage area. Some machines were renewed and it just creates this detachment from the vintage environment they’re trying to keep. The food was nothing special. It taste like food you can make at home. For a quick pit stop to get back on the road fast sure this could be the place but for myself I really couldn’t see myself going back here. Maybe if the breakfast was tastier… Side note it’s cash only so bring those bills."

"Nisi is on Roosevelt Island. The waitress got just about every part of the order wrong. Asked for Earl Gray tea….served Green tea (they changed it). Which is $5 for a tea bag and hot water!!!! (See photo). Ordered food with no Fries fries arrived and charged for….another $4.50 I think (also corrected). Now the worst I’m highly allergic to egg ordered a sandwich and was very specific on ingredients, and waitress came back to check it again….came with it done in egg. It was a mix with cheese and mushroom so I had eaten half before I realised their error. Had to go to restroom and put fingers down my throat to vomit it out. They “didn’t charge me” for it….wow how kind! Reported it to manager don’t think they realised that their error can be disastrous when they get this stuff wrong. My day ended up with cramps and vomiting. Please train your staff. As the leading contributor to Trip Advisor in Ireland, I give this a 1 it’s years since a restaurant has managed to get this score!"

"We arrived on time for our reservation and were seated immediately in a mostly empty dining room. In spite of the lack of a crowd the acoustics were poor, making it difficult to hear one another. It took a little over 15 minutes before a server came to our table (we had to ask) but once she arrived she was charming and efficient. The food was great. Stuffed clams were piping hot, a little smoky from the bacon, a little sweet from the onions and a little spicy just enough to give them a zing without overpowering the clams. My husband’s swordfish dinner was both gorgeous and delicious, served in a pool of cauliflower puree topped with tender little gnocchi and a sprinkle of crushed, toasted almonds. I’d never have thought those mild ingredients could blend into anything so tasty and creative. My lobster pasta was a rich, creamy delight. Fresh mushrooms, shallots, corn, bacon and cherry tomatoes made it chowder like. The pasta was cooked to a perfect al dente and there was a generous amount of lobster in the dish. Chocolate lava cake with vanilla ice cream must have been delicious, but I can’t be sure because I only got a spoonful of ice cream before the plate was emptied."

"Here is a better than a typical deli. It has some healthy options. Stop One Goumet Deli is a place to get healthy juices and snacks. Okay prices. They don't take too long to make stuff. Convenient location on Allen. It's near the Grand Street station a few blocks from here. This looks like a typical convenience store from the outside. It actually has some good health foods. They make fresh juices. A good one is the Immunity. It's about $5 for a regular size. This is made with ginger and lemon among other things. It's tart but not too much. They also have healthy snacks. A vegan snack bar is about $2 or so which isn't that bad. The prices on most things are okay. It has healthy food at a convenience. It has pretty decent prices. The service was pretty friendly in contrast to what other people said about this or that."

"Family. Finding somewhere to call home in New York City can be the hardest thing, but The Jeffrey does just that. This establishment has continued to be one of the most important places to me, my friends and every New Zealander who goes to New York(who ask me for some good places to go). The Jeffrey has provided a warm, loving atmosphere where the best beers, great food and fantastic conversation can be found. Nestled next to the famous Ed Koch(Queens Borough) bridge, the Jeffrey provides a unique setting in the upper east side. The morning coffee is made with precision and talent which rivals the best in the city; paired with a croissant, there is no better way to start the day. Grab some lunch in the beer garden, the homemade IPA infused mustard on the turkey sandwich was delicious. As the evening rolls around the oysters are to die for, the fresh handcut chips make the world a better place and the devils on horseback(dates wrapped in bacon) make you never want to leave. The Jeffrey boasts one of the finest craft beer lists in the city, with 30 taps constantly rotating and a very well trained team behind the bar, you will never go thirsty and you will never have to drink another terrible Coors Light again. Jacob aka The Bearded Alchemist, is something special. He runs a cocktail lab where nothing is the same two nights in a row. His knowledge and passion his art makes the Jeffrey not only a world class beer bar, but a world class cocktail bar as well. I cannot speak any higher of his talent in combining, shaking, stiring, and pouring a wide range of delectable beverages (I would recommend the Honey Badger). All up the great beer, great food and great cocktails don't make the Jeffrey special. These put it on the road map, on the long list of great places in New York. What makes the Jeffrey truly great is the staff. The intelligent, wonderful people who always have a food or beer recommendation, always help start bar and table conversation and always display nothing but professionalism and a friendly disposition. These people made it home, made it family and made it everything you could hope to find in the city."

"I called ahead to make sure we could do the Houston Restaunt week menu on Saturday and they said no problem. They wouldn’t honor that because they said they were only doing brunch menu which is what we had planned to select off of the Houston Restraunt menu. They had a huge fan that was going which was blowing the table cloth and very noisy. Not the atmosphere we had planned for a nice brunch/lunch before the theater. Food was fine just nothing special."

"Tried View for the first time and was very impressed. It was a beautiful day and we sat in a room that has view of the water (it has heaters). We went on a Wednesday and it so happens that some bottles of wine are 1/2 price. We ordered a wonderful Rose. My husband and I ordered to start, duck tacos (came with 3) and the crispy thai calamari. I tried both and they were super delicious and the calamari was a generous portion. For dinner I ordered the tune a la plancha- tuna was cooked to perfection and my husband ordered the braised short ribs. It came with 2 nice size short ribs, they were tender and not dry. We both brought home 1/2 our dinners to have for lunch the next day because we were so full. And we shared a creme brulee. The creme should have been warm, but it was delicious nonetheless. Our waitress, I believe her name was Jenny (sorry if it's not), was very nice and very good at her job, as well as all the restaurant workers we encountered. We will definitely be back."

"The food is great, but when there was a problem with my order, the restaurant didn’t reach out to me directly; instead, they made the dasher call me! I ordered nearly an hour ago, and my food still isn’t out for delivery—by now, I should already be done eating! This is my second time ordering from them here, and it’s likely to be my last. I just hope my food hasn’t been sitting there getting cold for the past 30 minutes."

"The food was good, however upon making my reservation there was no information that breakfast was only until which was a little disappointing. our reservation was at I would have made a different arrangement had I known that. The host service was terrible. I arrived to check in with a reservation I made a month ago and the host was rude, didn't smile, greet or welcome. She very seriously said she would be right with us then turned her back to us as she hung up the phone. When checking in I referred to my reservation and she said it wasn't there. she acted as though this was an inconvenience to seat us even though I had a confirmation number for the reservation placed a month ago. Once seated, the service was great. Our server was kind, sweet, and patient as we were waiting for our last part of the party. Overall it was a good experience, but being that the host is the first point of contact, she really had me nervous for the experience. She was incredibly rude, and didn't make a great effort to make us feel welcomed"

"Our waiter, Morris, was incredibly accommodating and helpful. He truly saved our evening. We had a large party that we needed to take to dinner last minute, and he was able to arrange beautiful garden seating for us. Despite a language barrier with our Czech guests, Morris was patient and attentive while we ordered. The food was delicious and the ambiance was lovely. Morris handled everything with humor and kindness, and we can't speak highly enough of him. We will definitely be recommending this restaurant to everyone because of his exceptional service."

"Our family stopped by this diner on our way home. We love diner food but to be honest the food we ordered was underwhelming. My husband had the steak and cheese sub and I had a burger. I’m thinking we probably should have tried their pizza instead. The food came quickly and the service was good. The atmosphere was casual and comfortable, especially in the back of the diner. If we come back I would want to try the pizza instead."
