"Tonight was our first and last time visiting Asian Noodle Bar.I ordered a miso soup and the Tom Ka Noodle. The entree was under the specials list instead of the soup section. I’m very familiar with tom ka (sometimes spelled tom kha gai), and it’s a standard at all Thai restaurants and listed under their soup sections on the menu. The description of the dish read “Vermicelli noodle, sliced mushrooms and onions in coconut broth, flavored with chili lemongrass, lime juice and cilantro.” I figured this was an interesting fusion dish using the flavors of tom kha gai (soup) in a noodle dish (like pad Thai). Instead the entree was simply the soup, which I didn’t understand because it wasn’t listed under the soup section and didn’t have soup in the description. The name, in my mind, made me think it was a noodle dish. When I pointed out my confusion, the server was brusque and chastised me for ostensibly not knowing what tom kha is, even though I do. The entree itself was lackluster and unimaginative; it was definitely not “special”. If there was fast food version of tom kha gai, this dish is what I imagine it would taste like. The miso came out at the same time as the entrees; I think the server forgot we had ordered it. It was very watery and had a cilantro taste; it was unlike any miso I’ve had before, and not in a good way. The service overall was very slow, which was odd since there was only one other patron dining there that wasn’t a family member who had camped out. The server clearly didn’t want to be there and never once cracked a smile or tried to be polite.Skip Asian Noodle Bar if you have other options. It’s not worth the time, money, or calories. We won’t go back."

"Sushi Ninja is one of my favorite sushi restaurants in the Brandon area. It's located in the Bloomingdale Square shopping center, and it's one of the few restaurants that has stayed in this plaza for many years. They moved to a larger space withinthe plaza and redesigned the interior a couple of years ago, which totally elevated the whole dining experience. It's so warmand inviting with lots of tropical décor. They have table, booth, and bar seating. They also have cocktails on the menu and notjust your standard wine, beer, and saké. I know, we have many great sushi restaurants in the Brandon/Riverview/Valrico area. They're all special in their own way. But this place is unique in that they also have boba milk teas and smoothies, as well as abuild your own poke bowl menu. There's a huge variety of sushi rolls. Most of them are specialty rolls. There are a lot withcream cheese (if that's your thing). One of my favorite rolls is the Ninja Lobster Roll. It was pretty awesome! The baked cheesylobster topping really takes it to the next level. The only negative to some people would be that the rolls are small, and mayberolled more tightly than other sushi rolls I've had in the past. It's not a bad thing in my opinion. I hate when they roll themtoo big. I have many other favorite rolls. The New York Yankee, Rising Sun, and Dancing Eel rolls are some of my favorites. I've also had the eel, scallop special, and salmon nigiri which are always great. Oh, and I almost forgot about the appetizer. The TNT Mussels are so yummy. It has a nice mixture of Japanese mayo, wasabi, and masago. Very tasty! Everything tastesgreat. I need to elaborate a little on the build your own poke and/or bibimbap bowl. The bowls are fresh and fantastic! I getthe bowls with a salad base when I feel like eating healthy. They have so many great toppings. I never can pass up their housepoke sauce. The bowl is perfect every time. Service can be hit or miss sometimes. Mostly a hit. I conti"

"IF I COULD GIVE ZERO I WOULD! I don?t normally leave reviews but I had to on this one. I ordered the three chicken enchiladas plate. When my food was brought out, it was made incorrectly. They gave me a beef and two cheese enchiladas. I politely told herit was wrong and they brought me the correct food which was completely smothered in red sauce. Which is usually not a bad thingbut it was way excessive. I took two bites and did not like it and was just going to politely ask her if she could take it offthe bill or replace it with something else. The waitress came up to the table, crossed her arms, rolled her eyes and said sinceI ?ate? it she couldn?t do anything for me but if I wanted to pay for it and order something else I could. I was appalled. Youcalling ?eating? something in full only taking two small bites? It didn?t take me the whole plate to figure out I hated it. Thewaitress was very rude and not accommodating at all. Not only that the prices are outrageous. I know everything has went up butfor that quality of food. Hell no! Will never be going back. ??????????????????????????Why would you ?reuse? food anyway? That?s disgusting. I stated to the waitress that I understand that?s how you make your enchiladas and I just didn?t like it. Atthe very least I do not think I should have been charged the whole price for my meal. Considering the mess up and rude behavior. But I would say that?s a serious health concern if your reusing food. Call to the health department I think."
