Que Onda Tacos Tequila University City

Cute taco joint with some really good food. We got the Birrria tacos(the gravy came on the side,which was nice) corn plantains. Food came out piping hot. Our server wasn't the best(it was busy),but we will definitely be back!

The Shrimp Birria tacos were good, even tho I asked for no onions and they still put onions on top. The tacos were hot but the beef broth and sides were cold. The drink (Frozen Margarita) was really good. I?d recommend the drinks.

I visited the restaurant specifically for the tacos birria. The flavors and textures were enjoyable, though I found the dish lacking in spice. However, I understand that not everyone prefers spicy food, so I won’t hold that against them. The prices were reasonable, and the staff were attentive and polite. View menu

The service was excellent and the food was fantastic. The only dish I didn’t enjoy was the Birria Tacos; the shell was rather plain and wasn’t soaked in the broth as I had anticipated. However, they offer a wide variety of vegetarian options (I'm a vegetarian), which is wonderful since many places don’t accommodate us.

I ordered through doordash and got a birria taco meal with yucca fries. The birria taco broth was poured in half of their already tiny styrofoam cup and why is yucca fries subsitution an extra charge if you only put four pieces? There was also a half cut fry in it which is questioning of their sanitary. Overcharging and poor food service.

However, there are a couple of drawbacks. First, the seating is in pretty rough shape; the chairs are worn out and have torn material, which detracts from the overall ambiance and comfort. Second, parking can be a hassle. The restaurant has limited parking spaces due to the surrounding shops and restaurants, and the parking lots are quite narrow, making it challenging to navigate in and out, especially during busy times. Updating: taco Tuesday the carnitas tacos are so good and $3 design. I enjoyed both meals here. Tried the Fajitas and the Brisket Tacos. The chip n salsa was good. The atmosphere was beautiful. The two days I was there was the hand sanitary on the door empty. The prices were not bad, I would say average prices, but you get a decent part. The margaritas were also quite good, but a bit too much ice for me that watered it down.

It was like a team of festive Mexican artists held the place hostage for weeks while they decorated and then told the owners, You 'd better serve some wicked good grub, or we 're taking our artwork back! Loved the décor. Big selection of grub. Bigger selection of tequila! The server danced over and took our immediately. Food came out with a sonic boom trailing behind it. I devoured everything on my plate and left a tip big enough to start a new franchise in my back yard. Please please please open close to me. I need more of this incredible food!

The food was delicious, but the service left something to be desired. My tea went unrefilled until I had to ask a different waiter for assistance; I’m not sure where my actual waiter was. The restaurant wasn’t crowded, with only two other tables occupied, so I didn’t understand why it took so long to get a refill. My waiter only approached me once I had finished my meal to ask if I was ready for my check. He was friendly, but not very attentive. Despite the service issues, I will definitely return because the food was fantastic. I tried the Birria tacos and really enjoyed the beans with the street corn—they were absolutely delicious!
