"GLUTEN SENSITIVE PEOPLE PLEASE READ!!!!!!! Blue Heron Caters at the Fox Hill Event Center!!! If you or any one you know that would be attending your wedding that has any food allergies or any issues with food, DO NOT BOOK!!! I had attending a wedding here and have Celiac Disease, which is an autoimmune disease that when I eat gluten or wheat products my body attacks like it's bad. Sadly this means I get very sick when I have it in my system. I had asked the catering staff which items on the table would be gluten free for me to consume. They had no idea and looked at me like I was crazy, and told me to go ask the wedding coordinator so I did, she also did NOT know, then I had to wait for the coordinator to text someone to get an answer, a few minutes she finally told me everything on the table was gluten free but the bread and Salad crutons, so I said thank you. I filled my plate with food and headed to my table to eat! The lady was giving me very unsure vibes, so I pulled out my Nima Sensor that test food for wheat and gluten and it came back positive!!! I had ate a salad off that same plate and got very sick from it. The staff didn't seem to care about the food coming back positive after telling me it didn't contain gluten. I have now been sick for days and have permanent damage to my small intestine. They didn't even offer for other options at all for me, lucky I had snacks in my car so I could at least eat something. And the bride and groom told the owner of the venue that there will be 3 people that are gluten free attending this event and it never even got passed on to the catering company or the coordinator!! Not impressed, good thing I canceled my wedding here. Don't recommend!"

"Mr. Julevic, I had the most disappointing dining experience of my summer in NYC. The quality of the food and service did not match the value by any means. The Philippe Passion cocktail tasted watered-down and contained too much ice from only two sips. Mr. Denis exchanged this drink for the Philipptini, which also contained more than a respectable amount of ice and tasted just average. The Glazed Spare Ribs were chewy, warm not hot, and frankly could have benefited from more time cooking to obtain optimal tenderness. The Scallion Pancakes were just average. The plain Vegetable Fried Rice should not be called a vegetable friend rice having only onions and scallions for vegetables. My local restaurant makes a far better dish with a variety of vegetables for three-quarters less of the price I paid. While I received the Crispy Beef (this too was just average tasting and too much cornstarch was used to make the sauce that seized up becoming tacky like a candy/caramel) along with the Vegetable Fried Rice at the same time, I waited almost fifteen minutes for the Bok Choy to arrive. At this point of my birthday dinner to myself (I celebrated a birthday on at your restaurant, I thought the experience could not have gotten worse until the check arrived with gratuity already included. This was insulting and offensive since Mr. Denis was inattentive and unavailable at key moments during my dining experience. I had to ask a runner to see about the Bok Choy and bring me a hot towel and to-go containers since I was not going to waste this overpriced meal I could no longer eat (my dog ate the leftovers). It bears repeating that the meal cost was not commensurate with the quality of the food and service. I spoke with your Assistant Manager, Christy Huang about this bad meal and she seemed rushed and haggard. Ms. Huang was cordial and wanted to share the feedback I gave her with the kitchen but did little else by way of seeking to secure my future patronage"

"I 've been to Carter 's Landing a number of times since it opened. At the beginning, the service was fantastic with the staff being very energetic and going out of their way to make the experience wonderful. The menu was extensive and creative and the food was served hot and delicious. I went last Fall around Thanksgiving and was not at all impressed with the service. The place was very quiet with few diners. Rather than seat the guests in one of the dining areas the staff had us seated all over. With a small staff they couldn 't look after the guests properly. Service was extremely slow, food was delivered cold and was all around a very poor dining experience. I said I wouldn 't go back. Well, I was looking for a place for brunch and saw this available so decided to try it again. There was no mention of a buffet only and the website only showed a brunch menu. As my last visit, the service was horrible. We ordered coffee to begin and when it was brought about 5 or more minutes later, the server didn 't bring milk and cream, even after asking if we wanted those when we ordered the coffees. Then, a few minutes later she only brought 2 milks and 2 creamers. It was the same for our refills! The buffet at $22 a person was sparse. The 'kid ' making the omelets, crepes and waffles seemed well out of his element. Omelets were stuck to the pan, over cooked and only one at a time. Not much better on the crepes. The rest of the buffet, which consisted of 3 trays of hot items and a small table of cheese, fruit and deserts was not enough. Hot items were cold and uninspiring. It 's sad that Carter 's Landing seems to be so mismanaged because the location is absolutely perfect and begging for a place like this should be, but the bad management, poor service and lack of food quality is going to spell the end of this place which should be absolutely thriving! It 's sad actually!"

"The service at this place was completely UNACCEPTABLE. This is a long review, but trust me...you need to read it. We ordered through grubhub. The estimated arrival time was 60 minutes. We called after 90 minutes had passed and the woman on the phone was extremely rude. She rambled on about how she had been making deliveries all day and was on her way soon with the order saying it would be another 20 minutes. I then asked her if we would get a discount for the wait. She said, Yea, that 's not going to happen. I 'm telling you I 'm on my way. I asked if she could put a manager on the phone while she left to do the delivery. She responded, Thanks for the attitude. I am. Then said the food was not late because they aren 't domino 's. It was late by our standards she said, but not by theirs. I called grubhub to ask if I could leave a rating on their site for the restaurant. The customer service rep APOLOGIZED for this woman 's atrocious behavior. She did not apologize for our inconvenience, but Cory from grubhub did. Then, the food finally arrived over 2 full hours after we ordered it. The soup had spilled all over the bag completely soaking the three orders of orange chicken and rice. She offered me 20 dollars off our next order. I said I would like a 20 dollar refund, not 20 dollars off our next order. She throws her hands up and scoffs saying she doesn 't carry that kind of money around because she is a female, delivering in Seattle. And says, What do you want from me? I 'm trying to work with you here. And I said, very politely, that I know I had clearly been frustrated on the phone with her, but there was no need to be so disrespectful. She then goes on to argue with me, saying I was condescending first. Anyway, I said I would like a full refund, because the condition the food arrived in was just not acceptable. I would never order food from this place again. Absolutely ridiculous. There was absolutely no apology for the inconvenience, no customer service what so ever. I called grubhub myself to get the refund because I didn 't trust that this woman would take care of it. Oh and we did order Domino 's after. 30 minutes later, we had a hot fresh pizza at the door, delivered by a charming older gentleman who made small talk about the weather."
