"This place is a wonderful Old School Classic Chinese Restaurant complete with the wonderful 'Family Meal Combos '. I ate in it was busy which is always a good sign for a restaurant that is a little hidden out of the way. There was plenty of parking I didn 't wait for a table. The owner sat me I was served quickly. I ordered the LUNCH SPECIAL CURRY CHICKEN $6.75 which came with choice of Crabragoon (2) or Egg roll, Soup, Rice Entree.. I choose the Crab Ragoons, Egg Drop Soup Fried Rice to go with my Curry Chicken. They use REAL CRAB in their homemade Crab Ragoons the DIPPING SAUCE for them is beyond the classic Sweet Sour or Duck Sauce out of a can.. it 's obviously Homemade I think possibly Pineapple Based. The perfect thickness texture with just enough sweetness. It 's FABULOUS, BRIGHT Worth the trip just for that. The Egg Drop Soup was just what this classic should be..(no peas or carrots) and hot DELICIOUS. The fried rice was done classically and was good. The CURRY CHICKEN was just hot enough for my medium pallet without being too spicy. The portions were decent big enough I took half of it home. Great value. I also had Hot Tea which was good. To top it all off when I asked my server if I could please have a glass of WATER to go not only did she happily bring it to me she took the time to add a slice of fresh lemon. DETAILS!.. IT 'S ALL ABOUT THE DETAILS. I 'd give this place an extra star just for that. AWSOME EXPERIENCE! Thank you."

"My first time trying this Chinese Restaurant. We dined in. Our waiter's name was Brian. He greeted us with his pleasant smile great personality. Brian is very personable professional. He's very good at what he does it shows. We ordered vegetable egg rolls, bbq pork chow fun, salt pepper chicken wings, chicken chow mein.. The food arrived within 10 minutes. The food was hot, fresh, portions were quite large, and it tasted amazing. It was the best Chinese Food I have tasted in a long time. The owner even came out, greeted us and asked how everything tasted. If you're in the mood for Chinese Food, we highly recommend you give this restaurant a try. I'm sure Brian and his Dad would appreciate your support and business. BTW, there were a lot of DASH Door Orders being picked up so take-out is another option. Thank you Brian for your excellent customer service and we look forward to our next visit with you."

"We ordered veggie spring rolls, roasted pork mai fun and shrimp mai fun. The Pork Mai fun was ordered with medium spices. The only thing we found spicy about it was added two whole red chili peppers. The shrimp mai fun was super fishy. If the shrimps weren't fishing? only 3 stars. The dishes were too dirty."

"This is truly the best Chinese food I've ever tasted. The flavors were perfectly balanced—neither too sweet nor too salty, and just the right texture. I was very pleased with my shrimp and broccoli with roasted rice flour, and the portion size was generous for the price. I highly recommend this restaurant, especially for their lunch specials. You get great taste at an affordable price!"

"The dining experience was decent. I ordered the lunch special which included kung pao chicken and roasted rice baked rice. The dish consisted of rice, carrots, and a small amount of egg. It was average. The kung pao chicken was okay, with a good amount of chicken but lacking in chili oil and the complexity typically found in this dish. It would suffice for someone who is hungry. The hot and sour soup was tasty and the egg roll was good. It was disappointing to see that some restaurants cut corners with cheaper ingredients. Overall, my experience dining at this restaurant was just okay. I have worked in a Cantonese restaurant before and have had better Cantonese dishes elsewhere."

"I placed an order through Postmates from a liquor delivery store, New Village Wine and Liquor, but I couldn't find any information about this establishment on Google or elsewhere. The phone number for the store was hidden behind a different number, and since their voicemail box was full, it led me to a restaurant in Queens instead. If I don’t receive my order or any updates tonight, I will report this situation to the New York State Liquor Authority. However, if I do receive a call regarding my order and it arrives this evening, I’ll gladly update my review to five stars. Otherwise, I plan to file a complaint in the morning. - Preston"

"May 2022 update: In light of recent food safety incidents (which have been publicly documented), my previous experience at this restaurant now makes perfect sense. Avoid the poorly prepared fish here to prevent food poisoning. Good luck if you decide to take the risk! Original review from November 2021: I ordered sushi from Soseki twice and it was decent. However, when I picked it up again recently, the quality of the fish was terrible. It was tough and seemed to be of low quality, poorly stored, or not fresh. I didn't feel well after eating it and was worried I might get food poisoning, but thankfully that didn't happen. We will not be returning to Soseki."

"This place is our go to neighborhood Chinese takeout spot. The best thing on their menu is probably their egg roll it tastes almost peanut y and is unlike any eggroll I 've ever tried anywhere else. The food is always piping hot when we get it to our table (except one time with the cream cheese wontons . This is where you go if you 're wanting more 'authentic ' Chinese dishes you can find cropping up around the Metro area (thinking places like Grand Szechuan in Bloomington or Magic Noodle out in St Paul . It 's straight up American takeout saucy, usually on the sweeter side of things. But it 's good American takeout... we usually do get the spicy szechuan [beef, chicken, pork] and I like like their curry dish and lo mein. They happily accommodate if you ask for red/chili oil and or extra sichuan peppercorns. Like everyone says, no cards cash only. (There is a gas station with an ATM across the road in a pinch. . The one thing I wish is that there were more photos on their site of their dishes... :"
