"The clerk returned with the chef, who explained that they did not have Ital. As someone wisely pointed out, “No means next opportunity.” The chef then offered me a chance to try something I hadn’t had in over ten years: a Vegetable Rundown dinner. Without hesitation, I accepted.
While waiting for my meal, I ordered two vegetable patties and coco bread as appetizers. My colleague, who had brought outside food, asked to taste the veggie patty. She was astounded by how delicious it was, even rating it better than the ones from Golden Krust in NYC!
When my dinner arrived, everyone in the restaurant commented on how amazing it looked. My business partner tried some of my meal and jokingly asked, “Wow, that’s a nice portion; do you need help finishing it?” I laughed and shared some with her. After she tasted the food, she was blown away by its flavor. Now she wants to come back and order the same thing I had!
Overall, the day was fantastic, thanks to the chef and the excellent service. We’re planning to return this Saturday to try the Jamaican national dish, ackee and salt fish! A big thank you to the chef and crew for the perfect Vegetable Rundown!"
