"The food at this restaurant is amazing, however, the service was not up to standard this time. Our appetizers were never brought to us, and we were disappointed that we didn't get to try the lobster bisque. There were not enough glasses for our drinks, and we overheard a conversation between the server and bartender. Thankfully, the server offered to handwash the glasses so that we could be served. It was also confusing that only certain drinks could be ordered in certain sections of the restaurant."

"What a delightful lunch we had! From the moment we walked in we were pleased: the decor and music lifted our hangry moods right away. Our food was all terrific (fish tacos, pork tacos, pork tamale perfectly seasoned black beans) and portions were generous. The proprietor was fun and treated us like good friends. The shared parking lot can get quite full and is on a hill, so be aware of that if you have mobility challenges it's worth it, in my opinion!"

"The food was very marginal. Appetizers of mozzarella sticks and bruschetta were good, but we ordered calamari and they were out of it. Chicken picatta was tasty but overcooked. Risotto was not creamy, or prepared properly. Eggplant parmesan was strange not traditional breading, and sauce and spaghetti that it was served on top of was disappointing. The steak and chicken parm were good. Also ordered pork osso bocco, and they were out of it. Desserts (tirra misu, cheescake, sorbet) were good. I know it's the midwest but even by that standard, Italian food should be better, especially for the price."

"This was my first visit to the restaurant. The atmosphere was pleasant, the workers were nice and the overall experience was positive. The menu is very vegetarian friendly and lets you know what is or can be made vegetarian. All of this means nothing if the food isn't good. It wasn't terrible, it just tasted like the cook seasoned it badly. I ordered the Herb O'vore's tofu tacos. The tofu was cooked well but marinated in a bar-b-que like mixture. That is the best I can describe it. It tasted decent but did not go well with the tacos. They were pretty bland as well, there was an odd flavor that overpowered the tomatoes that were in the tacos. Decent place overall, I may or may not return to give them a second chance. It means a lot for me to find a vegetarian friendly place. Even with that, the food has to be good. Otherwise the options mean nothing."

"During our first visit, we were mistakenly charged for three individual pizzas instead of the two we ordered. The waitress quickly recognized the error, apologized, and fixed it, so no harm done. However, on our second visit, we ordered a large pizza with three toppings, divided equally on each side. We anticipated a small extra charge, perhaps $2 or $3, for the additional toppings added to half the pizza. To our surprise, we were charged $5.00 for just a quarter cup of frozen broccoli bits, which felt excessive. I'm not sure if this pricing is the owner's intention or if it's meant to boost tips, but either way, it's unethical and unfair. Unfortunately, this experience may lead us to seek out other options, even though the pizza itself is quite delicious."

"The food was good, meeting my expectations for this type of restaurant (similar to Denny’s). I ordered the Senior French Toast Combo with hash browns and a taro bubble tea. The French toast was enjoyable, but it could have used a bit more egg for saturation. The hash browns were decent, though they had a bit of a greasy taste; next time, I would request them to be thin and crispy. As for the taro milk tea, I anticipated it to be overly sweet, but I was pleasantly surprised by its mild sweetness! I would definitely stop by again for bubble tea."

"The servers were exceptionally friendly and the prices were reasonable. The avocado burger was excellent! It's not often that you find such a well-seasoned burger at a small restaurant like this, and I appreciated that they asked how I wanted it cooked. The burger patty was a good size and the combination of charred jalapenos, avocado, and grilled bun made for a delicious meal. I would definitely return to this place, especially since they have a wide variety of menu options and serve breakfast all day. The only downside was that when I requested the burger to be cooked medium, it was not cooked to my preference."

"I visited for the first time and was disappointed by the lack of customer service. I ordered the beef LOMO SALTADO, which wasn’t worth the $19, and I can’t recommend it. Save your money and just make marinated beef with soy sauce at home, toss some fries in the air fryer, cook up some rice, chop a pound of red onions, and add a couple of tomatoes. I suggest choosing something else from their menu, and I hope you have better luck with customer service. I’m giving it 2 stars because the fries were crispy and well-seasoned."

"I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant recently. They refused to bring my food out to the curbside parking spot because I was trying to pay in cash. I waited outside for over 10 minutes, despite the fact that the place wasn’t busy at all. I've never had a problem with this location before and have consistently tipped over 30% for takeout, and the staff has always been more than happy to bring my food to my car. What's the point of offering curbside service if this is the case? The staff is usually very friendly and efficient, but today they lost a loyal customer of over 10 years. They insisted that I come inside and wear a mask to get my food, which was frustrating."

"I absolutely love this restaurant! I brought a friend and decided to take him there before he realized he was a vegetarian. Luckily, they had a delicious vegetarian sandwich which he really enjoyed. I sampled it as well, and it was perfectly seasoned. As always, the staff was fantastic. It's a charming little hidden gem, and I will definitely be going back!"
