"Went with a friend after work, it was a full house on a weekday evening. We made it to happy house and ordered two rounds of drinks, mojito and margaritas. The mojito was not made was mojito mint, could be spare mint. It had a more spicy rather thansweet taste. We both ordered steak fajitas, the meal was delicious. Octopus could have been more flavorful but was nicely fried.We also got Mexican street corn as an app and it was alright. Very cute decor on walls around the room. Service was quick andpolite, would visit again."

"I visited this place last year for lunch and the quality of the food WAS amazing. Today I went for dinner and I was so disappointed. I don’t understand if the administration changed but the food was really bad. I ordered beef shawarma and got fajitas. The meat was over cooked not tender. My friend got kafta and it was dried with no flavor. I paid $190, after adding 20% tips without knowing that they included 20% for service without even asking me or informing. So ended up tipping 40% without being aware. I’m not going back!"

"This place has some great flavours in their food. But they seem to overwhelm every dish with huge quantities of meat. I would have enjoyed the tacos more if there was right amount of meat, same with the Pollo Arroz. The fish taco was excellent and would come back again and again for it. Vegetarians you will definitely enjoy the veggie empanada. The service seems to be way off its track. I don’t mind extra items, but I wonder how they are doing financially. Not everyone will tell you that they already got their drink. Amazing outdoor dining ambiance. I was here for lunch in summer and was relaxing listening to birds. You choose where you wanna sit, which might be again something that can be improvised on. Conclusion: Great potential, given the fact they improvise on their service."

"Haven?t been in Timothy?s for about 20 years. we used to go there all the time for lunch from work. Back then Timothy?s was the place to go great food great service. I went there this past weekend my godson had his wedding reception there. 20 years later the staff is still exceptional the food was exceptional the atmosphere was great. Since this was a late morning reception what was unique about this was the had a breakfast buffet which was pretty cool. They had a fruit bowl chip beef gravy pancakes sausage links scrambled eggs fried potatoes. On the one side wall they had the buffet table was from kinda nice because when you look out the windows you saw the beautiful creek I?m streaming down on the side of the building. We were on the second floor for the reception and downstairs was the restaurant itself again I said it for 20 years later everything was really nice beautiful and I know my godson and his wife really enjoyed everything was going on that day. If I could Great more than five stars on this restaurant I would. definitely check the restaurant out."

"This was probably the worst Mexican restaurant I have ever been to in my entire life. The bartender looks barely and doesn’t greet people and spends minutes other places instead of taking orders at the bar. It took 20 minutes before we could even get a drink or food order. It seemed like this place was over, but everybody just wants to stand around or play on their phones. Lack of communication because our bartender screwed up on our tab and had to wait for the manager to fix it, and when the manager got back from food, I had to flag them down to fix our ticket because our bartender was somewhere else. We ordered two beers, chicken, quesadilla, and bean dip and it was just OK."

"The tables were quite well spaced apart, which was nice. However, our server seemed very busy, managing the whole restaurant, which meant she didn't check on our table very often. When we finally wanted to order dessert, we ended up deciding against it because we had to wait too long. On a positive note, the food was delicious! The salsa could use a lot more salt, though. The burrito had just the right amount of meat, rice, and beans, and the carnitas were fantastic! The carne asada was wonderful as well. I didn’t realize they served brunch, and I'm really looking forward to trying that soon!"

"I went there to watch the Bucs game that wasn't playing locally, and even though they have many TVs, they only had the game on one TV the smallest TV in the place. When I asked if them to put on a bigger screen, they refused, even though there was another large party there that wanted to see the same game. When I asked for the manager, apparently that person wasn't on duty and the only manager was barmaid person serving the bar, who made me wait when I was standing at the bar for 10 minutes to get service. She refused my request stating that the TVs were pre-programmed for what game or horse race or golf tournament that was playing. I have never been to a sports bar that refused a request for a game to be put on. Also, they had an outdoor patio but no TVs on it. Back home all our sports bars have TVs on their outdoor patios. I was very disappointed because I paid for an Uber to go to a Sports Bar just to watch the Bucs game."

"My son had a performance at the Music Box Theater on Nicolette. We chose Christos because it was close to the venue and we enjoy their food. The food was fine. I liked the lemon chicken rice soup. The rest was not extraordinary, however the prices were. Prices have gone up. We paid a lot for essentially soup, salad and sandwiches. It was a shock to receive the bill. The server was not very good. We had to repeat our order several times. We expressed we only had a certain amount of time for dinner. It took awhile to receive our food. With limited time we had most of it packed up. Christos will no longer be our choice on “Eat Street”. It is too expensive and the service is not great. If we are going to spend a couple hundred dollars on dinner I would rather go somewhere else."

"Sept, 2022 We tried the birria fries. They were pretty good. It's definitely meant for at least 3 people. I got the quesadilla de al pastor. There were some bits of pieces that were meant to go to someone's else dish. I got a piece of chicken and mushroomlol Their drinks look really appealing so I will try one next time. Our waitress was nice. I been here a few timesbefore, justnever wrote a review before. The first couple of times, the rice was always too salty and the beans weren't good (this was morethan a year ago). I wouldve probably given them a 3/5 at that time. I won a gift card to eat here so we went on 07/17/21 duringlunch. It looked a bit busy but we were seated immediately. I got the al pastor torta with fries. My fiance got the acp but withsteak, shrimp and chicken. The chips and salsa were banging. We got our food just when we were done munching on the chips. Mytorta was pretty good. Huge, I could only eat half. My only critique is that the torta bread was already starting to sog bc ofall the sauces. I tried the rice from my fiance's plate. It wasn't salty like how I remember it last time. Our server was ayoung male. His service was okay. Only checked on us once after we were done eating. He seemed shy so he mustve been new. Iwould come here again."

"Rating: 9 out of 10! We absolutely love visiting this restaurant. The food is consistently delicious with plenty of options to choose from, and the servers always put in great effort to make sure everything is just right. The birthday celebrations are always a lot of fun! The only downside is that if you're seated in the back room, it can feel a bit forgotten. The drinks are good, but they can be inconsistent—sometimes they're too sweet, other times too strong. Overall, a fantastic place!"

"Great salsa. Heard about Sopapilla's from a high school friend who lives in Brentwood. She said it is the best Mexican in Nashville. I don't know about that (since I know Nashville has a lot of good Mexican places), but it is very good. Some of the best salsa I've ever had. Great chips, thicker than usual. OUTSTANDING service. Classy, upscale atmosphere. Everything is done first class. This place is owned and run by gringos, but it is very good and authentic. We split the three tacos. Shell was deep fried. Chicken was pulled and was very tasty. Black beans and rice very good. Appetizer was sampler with refried beans, chile con queso, and guac. All three excellent. We saw other dishes coming out of the kitchen and they looked even better than ours. There was a squeeze bottle with honey on every table. I asked our server what it was for. He said they serve sopapilla's for desert -- on the house. And you eat the sopapilla's with honey. They were hot and delicious. Just the right size desert at a Mexican place because we are usually stuffed. Sopapilla's is not a chain. This is the only one, although I think they are opening a new one soon in Hendersonville (or maybe already have). Highly recommend Sopapilla's."

"Sun Sept 2024 My husband has been wanting to come back here and I didn't look at my review otherwise... Not much has changed. Tonight I had the Pollo Fundido. The chicken was well done. It had cheese on it. I asked for no green peppers but I found a few (not a lot though). The salsa was more tasty than last time. By the rice was still bland as always. They had guacamole which they didn't have last time. The portion of chicken was big enough that I brought some home. I hope it be will be good when heated up. It did lack salt though. While the waitress was not always available she was smiling and friendly. Best to go elsewhere if you want a real Mexican. There is a new Mexican restaurant called Taco Madres. A bit expensive but worth it. I don't think the owners look at the reviews otherwise they would see that they need improvement. Maybe they don't care about their customers. New and last update: Friday Oct 21, 2022. It has been a year since I last came here. I was hoping things got better. This is my third and last time I come here. I'm disappointed. I had the Quesidilla Rellena (chicken). The rice was bland, as usual. At first the lettuce and guacamole (on top of salad) tasted good but the more I ate it it tasted stale. I even took out some rotten pieces. The Quesidilla tasted off. The chicken was dry and it was a good thing that there was refried beans and melted cheese in it to make it more palatable. I had to add salsa to it to make it tasty. Oh, the salsa was good though. The sweet tea almost had no taste except for the lemon. Like I said, this was my 3rd time coming here but my last time. Don Jose used to be my 1 Mexican restaurant but it has went down hill over the years. I think they may have gotten too lax in their cooking since they have 4 stars rating. If you want real good Mexican food, there is Tacolandia in Maynardville 1, and Plaza Mexico 2 (corner Maynardville Pike and Emory Rd). Review from one year ago: Update: Rating has went down from a 5 star to a 3 star. I came today in Sunday Aug 29 2021. The service was slow. I ordered a chicken fajita and it took 7 minutes to get to me. It usually is not long to serve it. The food tasted good but I found a hair under the lettuce. I called the waiter and he in turn called the manager. While he did get me a new plate of salad, he said that no one in the kitchen had long hair and looked at me as if I had planted it there. I told him that if the hair was in top of the salad I could maybe consider it mine but it was under the salad. He did give me a new plate but I kinda lost my appetite. The service was slow when I ordered and other people were served before me. My husband and I came here 2 years ago. He just updated his review. He had the Huevos Con Chorizo. He loved it. And an unsweet tea. I had the Chicken Fajita. It was better than I remembered 2 years ago and back then I would have given it a 5 star. The rice was flavorful. Some other Mexican restaurants the rice is tasteless. The salsa was delicious. I couldn't get enough of it. They didn't give a lot of salad with the side plate but when I asked for more they did not charge me other places would of. I had a sweet tea. It was perfect, not too sweet. It cost us a a total of $22.40 so about $11.20 each. It's a good price, better that what we paid at Ruby Tuesday 2 days ago. This place has moved up to 1.a in the category of favorite Mexican restaurants."

"Having had a flavorful experience at Plaka Grill in the small, funky space in Vienna, I was motivated to try out Plaka in Falls Church when I was in FC on business one afternoon last week. The shotgun interior of the Falls Church location is much larger and borderline sterile in comparison. My appetizer, lentil soup, had a broth with the character of warm water. The ingredients were equally disappointing. I was hoping for a warm, aromatic lentil soup with depth of flavor on the chilly, rainy afternoon, but that was not the case. The pita served with it was ersatz; no pocket means it's not pita. While it had the shape and appearance of pita, it was just doughy flatbread. I intended to order their Chicago-style gyro after the soup, but the soup's lack of flavor caused me to abandon that idea and leave."

"The only thing better than the excellent food was Ashley's amazing knowledge of the menu and outstanding service. Dip sampler and steamed mussels with perfect Nemea wine to start. The tabouli salad, pastitsio and lamb chops as main courses were so good, we almost kept the staff there all night on the peaceful patio, enjoying our coffee, baklava and galatopoureko for dessert. He took the time to explain how everything works and even offered me samples of the vegan meat—the tofu was fantastic! Luke's coworkers were just as friendly and welcoming. "I called about 6 weeks ago and spoke with a manager. I wanted to host a graduation party there of between 40 and 50 people there. I asked if we could have the bar area to ensure that we would not take up too much seating from the main area. I also stated that we did not need the tables put together that I just wanted to possibly have an area. I have requested large parties of between 30 and 50 people before on a weekend which has been granted twice. It seemed to be bothersome with two/three sections of tables put together like this so I was attempting to be accommodating because I love the atmosphere, I love the food, and the staff is amazing. I was told that this was doable and that I just needed to call 2 weeks in advance to solidify the plans. Therefore, I called two weeks in advance and was immediately told that it was not possible and that there was no way to accommodate that many people and that they do not even take call-ahead seating for weekends which seemed odd because again... I have done this before on two different occasions. Being that I had everything set for this and was counting on having this , I am now forced to scramble and find means to have a party within two weeks time. Counting on this, and having the rug ripped under me with no venue, no food, no anything I am very disappointed in a restaurant that I frequent and have recommended on numerous occasions. With this negative experience I do not plan on visiting your restaurant again and will definitely no longer recommend this. Understandably, this will probably do nothing and I am more than likely just a number in a sea of countless customers you have had and continued to have but I wanted to put my extremely negative experience to your customer service team and thank your restaurant for losing a loyal customer and large amount of business."
