"Pamper yourself in a speedy way! Whether you prefer healthy or sinful, this is fast food gourmet at its best. I stumbled on this place because many surrounding restaurants were closed for Labor Day. There is dog friendly seating in front and in a small courtyard around back. The ambiance intersects health food co-op and trust fund kid spoiled brat. Seriously, they have fresh fruits, microbrewery canned beer, a coffee bar that has one hundred times the character of Starbucks (not hard, actually), kombucha on tap, very special ice cream treats in Ann old fashioned cooler, amazing soups, and made to order panini and grilled cheese sandwiches. I had lunch and a treat with dessert to beat. I was gratefully the place I came to check out was closest. Extremely friendly staff to top things off."

We find most of the restaurants are overly air-conditioned, but Metro 8 didn't seem like a fridge even when we came in - that's a big plus for me! Our waitress was very nice and attentive without getting involved. She noted that it was nice to see kids with books (and math in our conversation) instead of iPads. The steaks my husband and I ordered were as advertised and delicious. So were the pages. Our girls loved their grilled chicken. Cocktails were good and just the right strength. Highly recommended."

"The food here is pretty good, portion is large, which is fitting for its price. It is a small location, so there may not be space for seating. Small outside seating area, but is sort of shared with the other store. There is no parking lot, so street parking. It was super packed when we came here on a weekday for lunch, and the line is pretty long. I heard good things about this place from my friend who recommended it to me while we were out around looking for food. There is actually another bird's nest as well. "I missed my non-refundable flight from chicago to miami, was in the position to reach an hour later after continuing lauderdale, to take a shuttle to the Tri-Rail station, to Miami-Dade county, to the city inside and to this oasis. after a very short wait to place my order, I used the toilet room and then in a colorful tasty eat the rainbow consisting of turquoise coconut brown rice, mixed greens, paprika, gurken, edamame, mandling and carrot dressing with Goji berry plus a refreshing mango leti. I was able to take 2 buses to motel and reinstall them before my daughter landed from Georgia. next visit to miami I want to stop here. I arrived on Saturday because the restaurant is closed on Sunday."

"ALWAYS MAKE RESERVATION!! Everyone always walks up if they are staying at the hotel OR at the nearby Convention Center, so make a reservation and beat any crowd. You can easily walk up and through to the seven stars rewards line (middle) and get seated. They just will ask for proof of your reservation. Open your Open Table app to show and get seated immediately! LOCATION AT RIO only open on Saturdays Sundays for now and they do get busy if there 's something happening at the Convention Center. IF BUSY, be patient. The waiters waitresses are doing their best to get your drinks food to you, AND it 's definitely worth the wait. The person handling the drinks arrived at the table first to get your drink order and delivers right away. Ours was RAUL. He was courteous efficient. The waitress we had was fabulous, her name was Sandra, she was very outgoing, sweet professional. She knows the menu, make sure you ask questions if you have any. Our food was great. I had the French Toast w/Bananas. VIP NOTE: This location serves the banana PEELS (two peels grilled) with the bananas on top of the french toast. I would suggest taking it off before eating lol. After removing the peels, the French Toast was perfect as well as sweet savory. The French Toast came with a side of bacon (don 't know if that was a mistake) but I also ordered a side of bacon, yes, two sides of bacon showed up (yay). We asked about it, and she said to just keep our bacon, we weren 't charged extra. BTW, the bacon was soooo perfect and was cooked to perfection. Lastly, the SMORES LATTE was SOOOOO GOOD! You gotta try it. My daughter had the bacon waffle which never disappoints. Very fluffy, yet crunchy, great tasting (her words). Overall, great experience, will be back and will definitely refer friends to this location. Loved it!"

"Food had potential but there were more misses than hits. I ordered the Black Russian grilled mixed veggies and cheese with russian dressing on thick pumpernickel rye bread and served with pan fried potatoes. I added a cup of tomato basil soup. The sandwich was really good; loved the bread but the potatoes and soup both had distinct Indian flavors. I love Indian food but it was not what I was in the mood for and the menu gave no indication this was the case. I left most of them behind. My companion ordered the eggs benedict hard pass. The eggs were overcooked and worse, the hollandaise had WAY too much lemon never had that much lemon in hollandaise sauce before and the plate was drowning in it like it was gravy. Her side salad was decidedly our favorite item cold, crisp and tasty. The service was friendly but for the few customers that were in the place, everything took a little too long coffee refills, requests for more cream, the bill etc. I'll give it one more shot just to make sure this wasn't a one off considering all the good reviews, but this trip wasn't my cup of tea :o/"

"Drinks were pretty good! Food was okay, we had the king crab bahn mi and vegetarian mi chay, but mostly y’all just need to clean! The lanterns over the bar are dusty and disgusting and hanging over drinks and ice and your food if you eat at the bar. The shutters in the bathroom same thing! I can only assume if cleaning is not kept up with in the areas customers frequent then I imagine the kitchen is lacking in cleanliness! I do have to say the staff was pretty nice and attentive though and I see the potential but I predict this place won’t make it due to not a lot of repeat business"

"Omg! I’m totally in love with this place! I had the BEST Southern Butter Pecan iced latte EVER!!! This place has so many different options you can choose from. "Wow! Really different and really good. Tried the Risotto fritters and what an amazing surprise. crispy outside warm and soft inside with a lot of flavor! Also had pulled pork nachos. "5 reviews 4.0 star rating 10/9/2017 I am giving Casa Duarte only 4 stars not due to the quality or taste of the food, but due to the extremely poor service we received. Casa Duarte is a very cute place, great atmosphere, nice decor, but it is a seat yourself place. That 's all good, except, you never know who your server is and I 'm not sure they know either. We sat down and after about 5 minutes were brought water. After another 5 minutes, we were brought menus. After about 15 more minutes our server (Eileen) came to take our drink orders. By this time we were ready to order. We gave her our drink orders, requested a basket of chips (additional $2.25 charge) and ordered our meals. I ordered the Cyndi G, which is a green chili pork pozole with 2 fried eggs on top. My husband had the Volcanoe, which is the Chiliquiles with the addition of Green Chili pork and a fried egg. On one other occasion, we had the Jerry El Mujericco, which is spicy green Chili pork with an enchilada with a fried egg. Everything comes with beans, rice, hash browns and a tortilla. The Cyndi and the Jerry are excellent. The Volcanoe was ok, but did not stand a chance against the other 2 meals. I give the food 5 stars. So back to the service. Once our server took our order, we waited and waited and waited. I requested a straw from her once as she passed by, and gosh, she threw me 5 of them. Well needless to say, I advised her I really only needed 1, so the next time around she came back and retrieved the other 4. Our drinks and chips never came. Another server finally brought out our food...still no drinks or chips. Eileen finally came by and brought the drinks and chips, after our food came. Geez, I really prefer my chips before the meal, but okay..... As I said, food is really outstanding, no qualms there. After we were done, plates set aside, just hanging out, guess what? Yep, no check.....wait, wait, wait. Now I 'm watching how she is handling other tables that appear to be hers...the same way. Other patrons in the restaurant that got the luck of the draw and got another server are taken care of promptly, so I am guessing she is either new or out of sorts this day. She brings our bill, I review and put my card out and wait. Finally someone else comes by and picks up the ticket and my card. Our server brings it back and just says I 'm sorry, I did my best . Humm, not sure how to take that, maybe this is not the right line of work for her."
