"Food had potential but there were more misses than hits. I ordered the Black Russian grilled mixed veggies and cheese with russian dressing on thick pumpernickel rye bread and served with pan fried potatoes. I added a cup of tomato basil soup. The sandwich was really good; loved the bread but the potatoes and soup both had distinct Indian flavors. I love Indian food but it was not what I was in the mood for and the menu gave no indication this was the case. I left most of them behind. My companion ordered the eggs benedict hard pass. The eggs were overcooked and worse, the hollandaise had WAY too much lemon never had that much lemon in hollandaise sauce before and the plate was drowning in it like it was gravy. Her side salad was decidedly our favorite item cold, crisp and tasty. The service was friendly but for the few customers that were in the place, everything took a little too long coffee refills, requests for more cream, the bill etc. I'll give it one more shot just to make sure this wasn't a one off considering all the good reviews, but this trip wasn't my cup of tea :o/"

First time eating here and honestly wasn't impressed. My eggs on my bendict were jammy, not runny. Not asked how I wanted my eggs.

Went here during a break in my conference schedule. Loved the food (ie. grilled salmon salad tomato soup) and service. Thanks for the welcome to Bloomington!

The Runcible Spoon is a great option for breakfast/brunch. The restaurant has an incredibly fun, unique interior and atmosphere. The food was good, and the service fantastic.

I love this place so much. Don’t order the home fries unless you are emotionally prepared. It’s spicy and not like village deli’s home fries; they are grilled diced potatoes rather than fried in a fryer

You can tell when people who cook your food love what they do, and the people who work here love what they do. The best black bean burgers and angus burgers in town. Delicious coffee and dessert. This is my favorite place to eat in all of Bloomington. Service: Take out Meal type: Dinner

I travel for work right now, which gives me an opportunity to explore local food options. I chose Runcible Spoon at random, and fell in love the moment I walked in. The atmosphere is cozy, the staff are welcoming, the coffee and food were SO good!! I had the smoked salmon eggs Benedict, which surprised me because it came on a croissant, but that wasn’t even the best part. The hollandaise was so good I wanted to give the biggest hug to whoever made it. Seriously, that good. Wonderful spot!

"Their wood-fired pizzas are fantastic, featuring both classic options and the ability to create your own. The same goes for their legendary calzones, strombolis, flatbreads, and appetizers. And definitely don't overlook their Buffalo wings—if you love classic Buffalo flavor, you'll be thrilled by these massive wings. Are you a fan of French fries? Then you absolutely need to order a basket! Pair them with chipotle mayo and ketchup or nacho cheese for a delicious treat. The pasta dishes are also noteworthy; in fact, everything on the menu is amazing! I haven't even touched on their excellent selection of beers and wines yet. Lennie's has the BBC managing the beer list, so if you enjoy pale ales, you'll love Quarrymen, and for an exceptional IPA, go for Rooftop. In the colder months, be sure to try the Java Porter—it's top-notch. Pair it with their mouthwatering French Onion soup topped with melty cheese and you might find yourself coming back at least once a week for that combo alone. The ambiance is great as well, with cozy seating downstairs and a lively bar and additional seating upstairs, plus a second bar. It's not just a spot for a quick lunch; it’s perfect for a fantastic family dinner or a gathering with friends, including work events like holiday parties or birthdays—the upstairs area is ideal for all of that. You won’t regret dining at Lennies, but you might find yourself wishing you could go every day!"

"The staff was fantastic! Everyone was attentive, friendly, and incredibly prompt. Even though the restaurant was packed, we never had to wait for anything. We started with cocktails; I chose one of the specialties that was delicious before switching to a local beer that I wish I could find back in SC. I was pleasantly surprised to see deviled eggs as a daily special appetizer, and they were amazing! Who knew there could be so many variations? It was such a clever and tasty way to stand out! While I can’t recall every detail of the recipe, it was a plate brimming with deliciousness. The only slightly disappointing part of the meal was the crab cake appetizer. It was good, but not great. It contained vegetables, which was unexpected for us. I appreciated that it wasn't just a dense cake, but for those of us who prefer crab cakes with more crab than filler, it didn’t quite hit the mark. That said, I live in a culinary hotspot, and I can easily catch crabs myself! I understand Indiana is landlocked! They did a commendable job—kudos to the chef for minimizing the breading! I can't remember what everyone else ordered for dinner, but I chose the pork medallions. It’s one of those dishes that fills you up before you realize it, yet it’s so delicious that you just want to keep eating! I hadn’t planned on dessert, but I enjoyed every bite of it! Here's where my lunch decision came back to haunt me: I prefer not to make a big deal about my birthday, but it seems the restaurant had been informed beforehand. They surprised me with a birthday wish, which was lovely! I glanced around the table, indicating that, as family, they would also have to share! I picked the Blackberry Quatro Leches Cake as my birthday treat. It was incredibly moist yet light, and the sweet staff even brought it out with a candle for me to make a wish! Happy birthday to me indeed! Overall, C3 is one of the best places I've dined at—both in the US and abroad! A heartfelt thank you to the wonderful team at C3! Oh, and just to add, their deviled eggs are a culinary experience unlike any other—they're not your typical mom or grandma's deviled eggs! If I lived here, I would probably drop by daily just to enjoy the eggs of the day!"
