"My husband and I dined at Reserve on a Saturday night before going to the theater. I ordered the duck breast for my entree. Ten minutes later our server returned to say that they had a special party that evening and they were saving the duck for them. This left me feeling like I wasn 't special to them. I would have rather been told they were out of the dish than to have been told I wasn 't special enough to order this dish. Kinda put a sour note on the meal. Ended up ordering the fish special calamari sautéed with tomatoes, olives, capers and croutons. It was very good. Our appetizer was lamb meatballs that were good buy could have been more tender."

"We had been so looking forward to our dinner at Story with another couple whom we invited to dine with us that evening. We were seated close to the front door which was rather chilly and there were other tables available. Our waiter was rather matter of fact and lacked making you feel welcome. The wait staff has as much to do with your overall experience as your food does. The atmosphere is rather cold and sterile and that’s coming from someone who is a minimalist. I’m bummed that we had a very expensive evening out and all walked away thinking WOW that wasn’t the evening/dining experience that we were hoping for or expected…"

"Veal cop was delicious. Smaller portion then last time. Service was just ok. I ordered the salted caramel martini and it was served without the salt and caramel.. sent it back and they brought it back with a very pathetic caramel rim. I expected more. Again, the veal chop was delicious and we will be back for that.."

"My wife and I went to dinner at 5:30 pm on a Tuesday. Only a couple of tables were taken so we were seated right away. It was a nice day, so outdoor seating was available, but we chose to sit inside.The restaurant is modern and very well kept, the waitstaff was friendly and helpful. Our server came right over and gave us our menus and took our drink order. When she returned with the drinks, she took our order. I ordered the Raspberry Lemonade, and it was delicious. Not too sweet, it was perfect.My wife ordered the Hoke Poke Bowl, and I ordered the Cheesy Napoleon along with a side of Mac and Cheese. We started with an order of Dippers to share, and I ordered a bowl of the soup of the day, Cheese Broccoli.The Dippers are fantastic, I ordered the house chips with my burger, and they are by far superior compared to the chips. These are a must get item, very tasty. My soup was really the only disappointment, everything was finely blended and because of that the Broccoli was only strings of fiber.After I finished my soup, we were served our meals. My wife loves this meal, she says it is very tasty and there is a lot of Tuna. My burger looked and tasted terrific. The bacon on the burger was very flavorful and the burger was juicy. I have had better homemade chips, and next time I will go with the Dippers instead. The Mac and Cheese was OK, nothing really special.This was a good dinner out. It is a nice place to take your partner, the food was fresh and tasty, and the price was reasonable. We will be back."

"Tessa is a great date night spot but poor for a holiday like Valentine’s Day. Our reservation was changed from to due to a glitch in the system. We understood the change in time because accidents happen, but our table was squished in a back corner of the dining room. Our seats were under a set of vents that were blowing on us the whole night which was uncomfortable. They packed twice as many tables in the back room and we were sitting on top of the table next to us. The waiters did a good job serving considering how jam packed the room was, but it felt impersonal and rushed. It was definitely a disappointment on what should have been a special night"

"basta was amazing! great personal, great eating. we have to start the burrata and the brot, that was delicious and a certain highlight. then we had a nice fresh salad, followed by a daisy pizza. the standout was the hugging, which was crispy and tender and pretty spirit bleeding. beautiful atmosphere, but strange location in the middle of an apartment complex. we will definitely be back! really good food and wee."

"Peska underwent major a major change in their menu and cuisine, not sure it was for the better. Entrées on the menu are way overpriced for what 's received. The Latin Inspired menu leaves much to be desired. Maybe it 's the locations that dictates the menu prices, but it 's not a good value or worthy of what 's served. My fish dish had bland flavors and wasn 't enough to call an entrée, it would have made a nice appetizer if it had some flavor. Not impressed! My wife 's Hanger Steak was very tough and sliced into small pieces in an effort to make the meat seem less tough. Having said that, we won’t be returning. If you have a desire to visit Peska, I suggest you make it quickly, as they probably won’t be around long. However, the bar seems to be a spot for “trend chasers” so that might carry them for a while."

"The experience was pretty bad overall. After seating ourselves, it took forever for a waitress to come by. Once she did, we were ready to place our food and drink orders. My husband went to the bar to get our waters because she never brought them. When she did bring his coke, she didn 't apologize for the delay or even acknowledge that he had to get our waters. Our food (ribs/chick and waffle) was mediocre at best. When she asked how we were enjoying the food, I gave an unenthusiastic meh , to which she replied, Great, let me know if you need anything. We won 't be going back,"

"Located in the historical Hotel Baker along the Fox River, Rox City Grill is a small and intimate lounge open from Wednesday to Saturday. They offer small bites, an extensive martini list, and live entertainment starting at 7:30pm until 11:00pm. Street parking can be a challenge, but there is a lot nearby. During our visit on a Saturday night at 9:30pm, the lounge was not too crowded. The server provided us with a drink menu but not a food menu, and we were unsure of the kitchen's closing time. Although there was a piano player, he took a break at 9:45pm and did not start playing again until after 10:30pm, which was disappointing. The drinks were delicious and reasonably priced. Their entertainment schedule can be found on their website. For a delightful experience, consider giving Rox City Grill a try."

"Although this was my first time going to their cafe, I've been a fan of Delancey's bagels for years!! My Nana Bea (rest in peace) would always order dozens of bagels from here and share some with my mother and I, and the pumpernickel pumpernickel/rye swirl bagels were always my favorite!! The cafe has such a cozy feel with very pleasant employees ready to help! I ordered coffee and there were several flavors on tap to choose from (as well as non-dairy milk options). I also ordered the Tuscany grilled chicken sandwich on a pumpernickel bagel and it was SOOOO GOOOOOD!!!!! I'll definitely be keeping our bagel tradition alive in our family by coming here!!"

"Reminds me of places to eat in Brooklyn (except how spacious it is) or Asheville (fewer Piercings and tattoos lol) The service was prompt (previous reviews have mentioned slower service times) and friendly A few things were not available off the menu but that's not a big deal. The price was as you'd expect at a brunch place. They have tables and booths and you have the option to sit at a bar as well. Cute skylight adds much more lights We had the grits and shrimps and the biscuits with chocolate gravy as well as the mushroom and eggs scramble and the waffle poutine The waffle poutine was really heavy and could not really finish more than one third. The biscuits were not bad but not the best I've had. The orange juice was freshly squeezed thankfully and not out of a box. I'd come back for sure."

"The vibes here immaculate. Seriously open air, slightly grungy, unpretentious food, coffee and drinks plus tons of seating. I loved everything but the service. It is a bit strange you can't order at the counter and I was (slightly condescendingly) made aware of that right away. Ok table service then. But the table service took forever. Our server was friendly but it was practically impossible to order. If our server was attentive I would have ordered way more and stayed longer. Alas, a really cool place that would be seriously elevated by great service."

"The food at the Running Goose is amazing. We ordered the baked brie for an appetizer. It's done if the best we've ever had. We also enjoyed the gnocchi and short ribs. Both tasted amazing. The menu is diverse. So many things looked good it was hard to pick. It ranged from a gourmet burger to duck confet. The beer selection was small but great quality in the choices available. The servers were polite and service was great. The only reason the isn't a 5 start review is they were a over booked. It took a while to get seated with a reservation. It also took a while for a server to take our order after we were seated. They were really busy. Everyone was polite, service was great, and the food was even better."

"The Mediterranean Pasta was excessively salty—there really was no need for that much salt! They also forgot to include the salad dressings for my Greek Side Salad and House Side Salad. While the salads were fresh enough, I had to wait an additional 30 to 45 minutes for a Dasher to be notified about my order. Unfortunately, the cucumbers in the salads had a fishy taste, and the tomatoes weren’t fresh either."
