"Tessa is a great date night spot but poor for a holiday like Valentine’s Day. Our reservation was changed from to due to a glitch in the system. We understood the change in time because accidents happen, but our table was squished in a back corner of the dining room. Our seats were under a set of vents that were blowing on us the whole night which was uncomfortable. They packed twice as many tables in the back room and we were sitting on top of the table next to us. The waiters did a good job serving considering how jam packed the room was, but it felt impersonal and rushed. It was definitely a disappointment on what should have been a special night"

I love the breakfast sandwich, and the starter muffins are a treat

Our party of seven had enjoyed cocktails, appetizers, and meals. The rabbit pappardelle, brussel sprouts and truffle fries were exceptional

Loved the flatbread appetizer, as well as the dip. Thought the tuna tartare was just okay. I think the ambiance/service is great. A little pricey but worth it, i think

TESSA is hands down one of the top restaurants on the upper west side! The food is always incredible, the drinks are creative and fun, the atmosphere is sophisticated and fun View menu

Great Mediterranean style food. Nice selection of small plates, appetizers and larger plates. The ricotta gnocchi and pork chop were our choices and they were delicious. The chardonnay on tap went well with both choices. Great service and friendly, knowledgeable wait staff

I liked everything about this place but the food. The ambiance (a little noisy) , the wait staff, food timing was great... but I left hungry. Even the little donuts that reviewers said were delicious, were eh. Nothing I couldn't get at the grocery store. Sorry, I probably would not go again

Perfect for a casual dinner with mostly great food. Best appetizers were the cauliflower fritto and the burrata. For entrees, the duck was delicious and the side order of shaved brussels sprouts for the table was divine. Noise level was a little higher than I like, but tables in the back where we sat are a little less noisy View menu

Tessa was ok. The food was not outstanding and we probably would not go again however it was a nice night out. Unfortunately, we were jammed in there as the restaurant obviously tried to take as many bookings as possible on Valentines Day, it was a bit upsetting that I continuously got bumped by every waiter who walked past. We probably wouldn't go again

I came here recently with a colleague after work. The restaurant looks deceptively small from outside but they are very large as it extends way further back. The menu is a very interesting and peculiar collection. It was a very pleasant surprise. At thebeginning I expected the usual bar fare (the fries were great! !but the pasta dishes were equally good. I got ye rissoto (smallsize and it was large enough for one person and I highly recommend it. That said the highlight were the desserts they weremarvelous. I had the baked Alaska and you definitely should not miss it. The service was a tad slow but nothing to complainabout.

"We went to Bread N Wine on a early Saturday afternoon for brunch. We were greeted and seated by the servers who were attentive. The food was okay the bread was really soft and fresh. My partner got the French Lentil Soup, Spinach and Tomato Egg Bake andI got the French onion soup, egg omelette with spicy tomato avocado and onions. I wasn 't happy with my omelette because thespicy just meant it was covered in hot sauce within. For beverages, we got chai lattes (we later found out it wasn 't tea basedbut rather coffee) and we had the option of oat milk, almond milk or regular milk. In terms of our overall experience we feltby the end too many things were steering the experience south; the worst was when we were accused of using counterfeit money topay for the tip. There was no special marker used to prove that the money was counterfeit or technology to back up this claim. That experience alone left a bad taste in our mouth as we left embarrassed by that claim, kind of shook from that, we stilladded the tip to our credit card 18%. As we walked out and talked about how weird that was, the owner of the business nextdoor overheard us and asked to see the $20 bill he showed us that our money was real and validated what we knew, that themoney wasn 't counterfeit. When we went back into Bread N Wine to discuss this there was no apology, just well, it felt thatway , shrug. It left a terrible feeling. We would not go back after that, this is not how you treat customers from start tofinish, hence the 2 star review."
