"Excellent food and our waiter was fantastic as well. My biggest complaint was how there was a 25 minute wait to get a table. Once the table was available, I noticed it was the table with the high chairs (which is difficult for me to sit on given my some health issues). I told them I had booked a table in the main dining room and they said that one isn’t available and he couldn’t give me a timeframe of when one would be available. We finally got seated at the right table but I’m just surprised by the long wait when I had a reservation for three people from weeks ago. Still an amazing restaurant and always recommend this place!!"

"I’ve been to Farmers Distillers numerous times and some were not so good. This was definitely the worst experience. It took more than 5 minutes for the host to come to the host stand and seat a party that was there before us and then us. When we were seated it took another 5-10mins for the waiter to come and greet us. After which he didn’t seem to be too familiar with what was available. We were told they were waiting on a shipment. It would have been great if we’d been informed what was not available on the menu before we made our selections. We opted to just leave instead of the multiple substitutions that would have been necessary. When informing the host of our departure he was incredibly nonchalant about the whole thing. Overall; this was the most disappointing experience and it seems F D has really struck out."

"I've always loved Caffe Gelato's brunch; their eggs benedict and bottomless mimosas are my fav ! I went with my family for my birthday , it also happened to be move in weekend for students. My parents had never been so i sent them the menu beforehand and they knew what they were going to have and were excited. When we got there it was a condensed menu-there was 1 breakfast item on this menu. We asked where the other menu was and they said they “shortened it for this weekend”. There was no notice of this on their website or at booking for the reservation. I was very disappointed and will probably not go back since you'll never know when they won't have their menu."

"positiw, our waitress was really nice, eating was very good. con bar service was terrible. it took 15 minutes to get our cocktails, and the explanation was that they run low on the glasses. I've never heard that before. then we ordered a bottle of wine with our escapes. Surprisingly, the glasses came away immediately, but lasted 20 minutes to get the bottle. we were almost done when it finally came."

"I work professionally in a steakhouse which creates a certain expectation, this steakhouse was absolutely incredible and blew every expectation of mine ten fold. Steve was an absolutely amazing server he had awesome stories and catered to our every need perfectly. Cocktails were delicious, the food was perfect and the desert… oh my goodness words don’t even describe. "Had dinner here for the first time snd let me tell you it was excellent don't let the strip mall outter look fool you ! The inside of this bar/restaurant is very cute and warm and rustic with a old time flare as you walk in it has a self playing piano stone walls and you are warmly greeted by the hostesses ! We were promptly seated and started flipping through the biggest menu I have ever seen at a restaurant and shortly after our waiter Josh came to the table introduced himself and introduced himself and explained some of the options on the menu as well as pointed out some of his personal favorites! Josh was friendly, warm helpful and on top of it ! My husband and I ordered two of the ovals for an App it was BOGO and they nearly filled us up i recommend the Italian Oval and dipping it in their homemade ranch ! It was to die for ! Also not you can buy it and bring it home ! You are welcome and you'll thank me later ! I went on yo have the chicken cutlet mash potatoes and peas and it we delicious and just as good reheated at home for lunch today ! If you are looking for a tasty affordable meal that tastes like its from moms or grab moms kitchen , this is the place ! Hot tasty soul food when you don't feel like cooking and moms to far away to cook it for you ! I will most def be back !"

"Always a good time. One of best happy hours in town...until 7pm. Wednesday is good day for locals as bottles of wine are half price. GM Brian and his team continue to do a great job of not turning their backs to locals...as they balance the convention masses. Prices are always reasonable, parking is free and menu changes during seasons. Centrally located and easy access too. Food is well presented and great portions. French fries might be best in town. Curry spaghetti squash was phenomenal. Resturant is totally swanky with classic Hollywood feel. Staff is accomodating, efficient and personable. You are not treated like just a number here. They are happy for your business as know ultimate upsell is your repeat visit. Do yourself a favor and head in this direction, they are doing the right things. Well done!!!"

"We were greeted by our server bill who seemed dismissive and disinterested from the get-go. half of the glasses on the table had water in them and the rest of us had to wait a staggering 40 minutes for us to receive a glass of water after being seated, and once we had it, there were no refills throughout our two-hour party. This lack of basic attention to service was frustrating and left us feeling neglected. Our server bill was rude and clearly didn’t put any effort into making our experience enjoyable. We were a larger party so gratuity was automatically granted so it seems he thought he didn 't have to work for his money. To make matters worse, when the food arrived, it was lukewarm and bland. Given the service issues, it’s no surprise that the food didn’t meet any expectations. We had hoped for a pleasant meal but instead left feeling unsatisfied and irritated. One of the plates were even sent out incomplete...not sure how no one caught this but this should no be presented as steak and eggs It was nice that Larkins was able to accommodate such a large party, but from the rude host, the careless server, and mediocre food...we will not be back."

"We held a baby shower here recently and it was a wonderful event. The Inn is so beautiful, and our guests were very pleased with the delicious food and wonderful atmosphere. The staff were accommodating and kind so very helpful. We were a good size crowd with several babies in the mix, and the chef surprised us with mac and cheese for the little ones. The adult menu was able to be gluten free which was a must for our group. We had home made ice cream sundaes for dessert which were amazing! The fact that a group of almost 40 could have an entire wing to ourselves made the party a smashing success. Of all the facilities I toured for this event, EFI was the most reasonably priced AND the most beautiful setting."

"Amazing salsa !! Great service and a fun environment !!! But they need better cooks with more than one style of cooking who know how NOT to overcook all the meat they offer. ALL dishes taste very similar! All with burnt burn marks on "whatever" meat, mixed with similar spices and all well done to finish cooking. The burned cremation, like a fajitas, but for every dish? This is the second time that I had to come here with the same results ... I refuse the next time I am invited ... "Was told this was the best steakhouse in Alton Illinois. So we gave it a shot. Children got a kids cheese pizza, and for $6 each the quantity and quality was pretty good, 5/5. Wife and grandmother got the shrimp scampi, both said it was kinda bland, but itis just a garlic butter sauce so I can see that. Shrimp was kinda light for the shrimp to pasta ratio, but enough pasta for twothat was for sure, 4/5. I had the 6oz pepper loin with loaded baked tater. Potato was great in size, pepper loin might of been alight 6oz but plenty in flavor. Ordered a med got med well. Now the reason for the only 4stars. Noticed on ticket, we were upcharged for things that were supposed to be included like strawberry vinaigrette, $4upcharge but was supposed to be included.And a 2.75% credit card fee. Kinda odd. I run my own business and don’t have to charge cc fees to cover just odd. Especiallywith no notice. Atmosphere is nice, but after 6pm seems to get rather loud, couldn’t hear the person two seats to my leftwithout them yelling. Overall, wed give it another go, just withdraw cash first."

"we have died here at least 8 times in the last 3 years. always excellent, service, eating and atmosphere. unfortunately they fell this time the ball. the service was very slow. no brot was made for 45 minutes because they waited for fresh bread to bake. When it arrived, it was not completely boiled. very doughy dinner lasted about 1 hour after the order arrive. there was no reason to work slowly. Eating came and was the greatest part good. the pizza was boiled and teigy. the pasta that accompanied the huh parmesan was cold. 3 times with the manager. he finally arrived with a huge piece of cake on a dish. I talked to him about my thinking and he immediately said, "I will compose the whole evening meal," he just went away. the server came around a minute later and said: "Tent dinner is with a nice evening " and went away. funny I just tried to offer my criticism at a restaurant that I enjoy very much. I didn't look for free dinner. by manager and server very bad and unprofessional handed over. Perhaps they need to remember that customers who are complaining or offering criticism really want to come back and want their business to be successful."

"We came here for Sunday brunch. Everything was wonderful. It was served family style. You could ask for more of anything you wanted. Fruit, pastries, eggs, sausages, bacon, steak, ham, turkey...there was a small buffet type line you could go up to at any time to have an omelette or Belgian waffle made. With the brunch you got a complimentary glass of champagne as well. There was also a large table of fabulous deserts. Our server was excellent. I would recommend checking this restaurant out!"
