"We’ve recently started spending more time around the Brookline and Allston area, and this Saturday we decided to give BOS’ SiChuan Taste 一碟川菜馆 a try. First of all, it was surprisingly easy to find street parking nearby. After checking with the owner, we were happy to hear that they welcome well-behaved dogs to dine with you—our husky Max was able to sit with us instead of waiting in the car, which made our experience even better. Unlike many other places, the owner and staff here are actually from Sichuan, and you can really feel that in both their hospitality and the food. The dishes were authentic and flavorful—especially the cold noodles, which reminded us of the real taste we’ve missed for a long time. The fish dish we ordered was also cooked in a unique Sichuan style: very refresh, tender and delicious, and with no fishy smell at all. Even Max got treated to a bowl of ice water! We truly loved the experience and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for real Sichuan food, especially if you want to avoid the crowds of Boston’s Chinatown.
