"Location Location Location Having journeyed via public transportation, observing the scenic route, I stumbled across Hodge 's restaurant. As I wish this was a figurative statement, this restaurant has a location that COULD be ideal, however it [the restaurant] is shoved into a seemingly alleyway with parking access. The problem with this you ask? Unless you are on the street (Euclid) this is someplace easily forgettable based solely on it 's location. Limited Menu Yet Well Deserved Stopping in around late lunch time, the service was to be expected; spot on with phenomenal recommendations and great assistance with everything we needed. The lunchbox special consisted of a trio; pork tenderloin half sandwich, chicken noodle soup (alt tomato soup), and house salad (I opted for sautéd brusselsprouts). Unfortunately the chicken noodle tasted like heavily watered down chicken stock. More TLC would have proven this soup to be top notch instead of the route taken to produce this. The brusselsprouts were very fresh, and through their process of cooking, can taste that their [back of house] takes tremendous care of the kitchen for cleanliness and respect of all ingredients within their stock. The sandwich came with caramelized onions, cherry pepper aioli, lettuce, tomato (I believe I opted out of this addition). The sandwich was excellent complemented with the cherry aioli, creating a vibrant allure of both texture and taste. We concluded this meal with a cremé brulé. Excuse my lack of current knowledge as of right now for an amateur status, but I 've heard that outside of America, the solidified sugar should be extremely difficult to break through, thus making this inauthentic. THIS SHOULD NOT BE A DETERRENT! The taste is not overpowering, captivating the original feel of what the classic dessert should taste like. So Why Are They Closing?!?! Sadly, I have received news that the restaurant is closing as of December 21st. So Why are we closing? I can 't disclose the reason presented to me as this doesn 't seem to hinder the performance to such a degree, but as first stated: location is truly everything. Having not even seeing the storefront nor any sign for this establishment until I tripped over a scooter, I would not have remembered to provide a proper review of this restaurant. Should a second opportunity provide, I would strongly recommend this owner a redemption shot for success. If you 've an chance to visit before closure I strongly recommend it at least for lunch. As always, I will need to return for a second opinion of the restaurant and to define the night life they provide. Thank you as always and I can 't wait to taste with you later."

"Although the seating was only half full, we experienced a lengthy wait for a server, as well as for our drinks and food. The bar area was crowded and noisy, to the point that I had to lean over to the server's side of the table just to ask a question about the menu because she couldn't hear me. Additionally, the restaurant was quite chilly, prompting the three of us, all wearing coats, to put them on during our meal. On a positive note, the burrata appetizer was remarkable, both in its presentation and flavor. All four beef dishes we ordered were flavorful as well. However, the pork dish was disappointingly small in portion size. My meal also came with the wrong type of potatoes, and although the server promised to bring the correct ones, I had already finished my meal by the time they arrived. Later, a dessert was brought to our table as a gesture of apology for the inconvenience. We enjoyed a bottle of Cabernet, which, despite being ordered by me, was presented to one of the guys at the table when it finally arrived. He kindly informed her that I should be the one to try it first. While she poured a fair amount into three glasses, she never returned to refill them throughout our dinner, leaving us to manage that ourselves. Throughout the evening, no manager appeared to check on us. The server's issues seemed to stem from a lack of training since the restaurant was not too busy when we arrived around 7:15 PM, with just two servers attending to three tables by the time we left around 9:30 PM. Although she was friendly, it was clear that she was still learning the ropes for a restaurant of this caliber. After reviewing the restaurant's website to choose a venue for a birthday celebration, I had high expectations for the evening. To say we were disappointed would be an understatement."
