"I was called by Tom George to let me know that they were not going to be serving brunch during the summer months, only dinner. The hostess was very nice and asked me to reschedule for dinner which I did. The hostess also offered my party a round of drinks for the inconvenience. So I arrived at the restaurant at 6 pm on Sunday as I scheduled to celebrate Father's Day with my family and the restaurant was closed. We were very surprised and disappointed. The restaurant did not call the next day and I decided I will not try to eat there again. So on Sunday I went to LA Chapter at the Ace Hotel where we had a lovely dinner which I knew I would because I have been there before.I do not know whose responsibility it is on Open Table to be sure the information about a restaurant is up to date and accurate, but nothing like this has ever happened to me at any restaurant before."

"This place is very openly ageist. If you are under 30, I would highly consider going somewhere else. They put all the younger couple in tables side by side and older folks in tables for 4. We went for restaurant week and the food was pretty bad. We got the wine pairing and the waiter wouldn’t tell us what the wine was, so we had to keep asking him went he brought it out. He seemed as though he did not care for our table. Overall, wouldn’t go back and wouldn’t recommend."

"I had dinner there with my family after receiving rave reviews of the restaurant. Our server was very nice, but marginally incompetent. He didn't know many details about the menu when asked for details. One of the starters was served without any of the 3 ingredients (olives with canned citrus and fried parsley - served without the fried parsley - not the waiter's fault). The waiter presented the special as an appetizer, but it was actually an appetizer. My main course (or should I say "starter") was served about 5 minutes after the rest of my table had already served their main courses. I was able to order another main course when it was clear that I had ordered an appetizer, but by then the rest of the table was done with the main course. The rest of the people at my table enjoyed the food and the beers were delicious, but overall my experience was not great."

"We frequently travel to DC to spend getaway time. We had walked past Opaline several times and decide to try it this past Saturday. What a disappointment. Service was absolutely awful....not just for us, but the several tables around us were treated as poorly we didn't complain, but many around us were vocal. Food delivery was just terrible...I guess the kitchen was understaffed or just didn't know what they were doing. The servers appeared totally confused. The food itself turned out to be hohum. I had the chicken, mine was tolerable, but the lady next to me got hers delivered burned..... My guest ordered his hamburger well done...came out nearly rare. With so many good restaurants in DC, I recommend avoiding the Opaline"

"We were recommended this place, but unfortunately it turned out to be a tourist trap. We ended up spending over $400 CAD on food that was bland, poorly seasoned, and overall unsatisfactory. The side salads were sprinkled with a few red peppercorns, the steak was charred and overcooked, and the beef cheeks were mushy and tasteless. The snails were not fresh and not served in shells as pictured. One baked potato even had a lemon peel in it, making it bitter. The only redeeming factor was the wine. Overall, we left extremely disappointed with the misrepresented French food in Quebec City."

Just because you don’t hear what you want does not mean she was rude”. I replied and stated this was MY EXPERIENCE and I am very valid in my experience. I was very shocked this was happening and he was willing to argue back and forth with me on my experience. It was Very unprofessional and uncalled for instead of apologizing he insisted on checking me on my post. Our party still treated Taylor with respect and thanked her countless times while she served us. They were not accommodating, I had booked a reservation for 6 people and forgot to include myself (dumb on my part) and Taylor was not willing to accommodate at first asked manager for permission and he allowed it. Then I ordered a coconut drink that was very heavy on the coconut and I asked to get it replace with something else and was told no due to the drink description stating it had Coconut. Which is understandable but people don’t always like their food and drinks and many restaurants are very accommodating and make sure you leave satisfied."

"TLDR: Great food, service, and cocktails in a charming space. French Louie is one of our go-to's for an elevated dining experience. Think date night or a special occasion. It's not that it costs much more than a regular weeknight dinner out but it's just a bit more bespoke. We've been visiting for years and have never been disappointed by the experience. Cocktails are always delicious and mixed to perfection. The Chicken Liver Pâté appetizer is an umami explosion, so tasty and smooth. For entree, it's hard to go wrong with the Bavette Steak Frites. It's always tender and cooked to perfection and their frites are excellent. Lastly, the staff are consistently friendly and attentive. For French in Boerum Hill, FL is tough to beat."

The building has three floors but lacks an elevator, and there’s no handicap access whatsoever. Upon entering, it resembles an old storage area, complete with wrenches on the counter and dusty old books. The room on the third floor was clean, but the bathroom’s shower didn’t work, and the toilet was ridiculously small—more suited for a daycare than an adult. Pros: cocktail, salad, scallops, sprouts dessert were all done well. Cons: Sprouts side was way too much food for just 2 of us. Waiter could have warned us on portion size. Salmon was undercooked to our liking: on the very light side. In hindsight, we should’ve sent it back to cook further. Scallops appetizer was tasty but only 3 pieces pricey for amount provided. Overall bill: $115 before tip. Enjoyed restaurant, ambience and attentive service but regret some of our food selections. That said, would definitely go again."

"My wife and I wanted a nice laid-back place to sit outside and enjoy a fun dinner. We ended up being very disappointed by the service. Our server took about 10-15 minutes to get to the table (which feels like an eternity when you are waiting to order beverages). They took our drink order and quickly returned with a cocktail and waters but the beer we ordered was delayed by a few minutes. Not a big deal, but then the night went south. We didn't see our server again for a very long time. We started to feel like our appetizer was a little delayed when food runners showed up with our entrees. No app in sight. We let them know and eventually the server brought our app. But we were halfway into the meal by that point. The food tasted fine. Nothing extraordinary but not bad. The nachos, I admit, were delicious. The mac and cheese we ordered was described to have bread crumbs but was missing that. Fortunately the server had it taken care of pretty quickly. We were never asked about having our drinks refilled. And after eating, we waited a long time for our check. It just seemed to take forever for everything. None of the problems by themselves would have been a big deal, but together it added up to a somewhat unpleasant experience. The server was nice and apologetic. They also comped us the appetizer which was nice. May have been an off night or maybe a new server, but I can't say I would recommend going on a Saturday night. Also, we did enjoy the outdoor seating area. It was a little tight, but the ambiance was nice."

"This restaurant is a hidden gem tucked away on the third floor of a building. We had a fantastic dining experience and the service was excellent. We also received a complimentary dessert with our Yelp check-in. We especially enjoyed the tuna tarts, chicken sliders, and burgers. After our meal, we stopped by the ground floor to purchase some pastries and macarons to take home. I highly recommend this restaurant. "We used a Gilt City coupon to have my birthday dinner at Presidio. It was a great deal and everything we had was absolutely delicious. For our $60 Coupon, my husband and I each got a cocktail, a small plate and a large plate. We shared the 2 small plates the Burrata and the Shepherd's Pie both very, very good. For our entrees, I had venison and my husband had a pork chop. His pork chop was a good sized one, topped with peaches and was quite good. My venison was very good also, perfectly medium rare cooked, but only 2 medallions not a very large portion for the $32 price. We decided not to have dessert, but did each have a glass of wine with our meals. I love the decor of Presidio.. it's a relaxing and pretty space done in teal and browns and grays. Our server was very attentive but not overly so just right. We had been to Presidio before for both dinner and brunch and will most definitely be back for both."

"I do not know how this restaurant has been so highly reviewed. The food is extremely bland, zero seasoning not even salt. It's ridiculously expensive for what you get. For example I ordered the veggie omelet with shrimp. For $20 I got three shrimp and an omelet that looked like what you get from a hotel complimentary breakfast. No spinach, barely any mushroom pieces, and filled with diced tomato instead. The smallest melting of cheese on top of the omelet finished it off. Zero flavor. My wife ordered the avocado toast. Barely any avocado spread on the toast, and it was a dark green, not fresh, color. Again, no flavor to the meal. Our son ordered the bacon and egg skillet. The grits were amazing! The grits were the best item in our table. Rich, creamy. Delicious. Our daughter ordered the kids breakfast skillet, eggs over medium. The eggs came out cardboard hard. We were considering coming here for dinner tonight but have since changed our minds. Way too pricey for the low quality and quantity of food served here.
