Always the perfect spot for a special occasion. Filet was perfect, the sea bass was the best my husband ever had. Perfect place to celebrate his birthday!

I generally like the restaurant decor. It is dated but in a good way. It could be much enhanced with more ambient, moody lighting and table cloths or even a paper covering. I love eating here during the summer in the sidewalk dining section.

Sophisticated ambiance, quite a varied menu, truly something for everyone. Waitstaff need some refinement, pleasant but just not quite what thy should be in terms of presentation and efficiency. For the price and location I had expected more but the food was flavorful. View menu

This restaurant has a lovely ambiance, delicious food, and excellent service. However, there were a couple of downsides. Everything on the menu was à la carte, meaning that even a side salad came with an additional charge, and they did not offer any bread basket. These are minor issues, though. Overall, my husband and I would definitely return for another enjoyable dinner.

The happy hour apps and service (Jasmine) were excellent! The steak tacos should be on the regular menu. Great prices, delish food and excellent service. The only problem was we received incorrect checks at the end of the evening we moved from happy hour bar to a table this is relative to that not the happy hour. We were way too buzzed to have noticed the checks amounts so that’s on all of us. But the service was great (Kara) other than that issue

I had a great experience at this lovely restaurant. The server was friendly, but could use a bit more familiarity with the menu items. It would be helpful to update the in-house menu to match what’s on the website. I was initially told that a drink I wanted from the drinks menu wasn’t available, but I was pleased to find out it actually was when I asked about it again. On New Year’s Eve, I dined with my family and was disappointed to find that the chicken wings were unavailable, and the chef's specials were not being offered because the chef decided not to prepare them due to the slow holiday crowd. Since when did chef's specials at an upscale restaurant become negotiable? The manager simply said, "it is what it is," while our waitress looked completely flustered. There was no apology or acknowledgment of our dissatisfaction. This restaurant is overrated, and it felt as though the staff was dismissing us during the holiday weekend. I will not be returning—no thanks. Proceed at your own risk.

The Bronze Door has been in Grosse Pointe for only a few years; I fear if they are unable to dramatically improve their product, they will not survive another year. After we were seated, we were presented with five menus; they all looked old, worn, and two literally were marred with food stains. This is not the way to deliver the image of a professional, well run establishment. The waiter was inattentive, disinterested, and on isolated occasions, his behavior approached rudeness. I will mention the main dish was well seasoned, and flavorful, but I was not able to enjoy it at the room temperature it was served. We had a pleasant dinner on Christmas Eve at The Bronze Door. Our server was nice and attentive and very upbeat. My wife had the halibut and I the beef stroganoff. The meals were delicious and well prepared. Our biggest gripe was with portion sizes, which were very small. Plus, entrees were a la carte and the $9 side House salad consisted of a few scattered pieces of lettuce and some sliced cherry tomatoes and cucumbers. It was puny. There could have been a lot more beef in the stroganoff as well. This was our third annual Christmas Eve visit to Bronze Door and, unfortunately, it was the most disappointing.
