"The food was absolutely fantastic. Ordered a vodka martini and we got charged for added ice, which was upsetting. The music wad also very loud and we had to shout at each other and our waitress to hear each other. The korean fried rice and lemon chicken were both delicious, and dessert was fantastic. Everything was great, except the loud music and being charged for ice"

"I recently dined at a restaurant located in Great Neck Village, though I am unsure of how long it has been in operation. I had a meeting scheduled for late lunch/early dinner and the organizer chose this establishment. Unfortunately, the service was incredibly slow and odd; we waited for 20 minutes at our booth without anyone coming over to take our drink orders. It was quite bizarre as staff walked by our table multiple times without acknowledging us. Eventually, we had to speak up to get some attention. Despite the slow service, the food was tasty. However, I was put off by the layers of dust packed into the decorative lattice between tables. The sushi chefs were friendly, but overall, I do not think I will be returning to this restaurant in the future."

"Really happy I listened to my hubby to come and try this place. We made it a point to try all the local seafood joints/shacks in the Point Lookout/Oceanside/Long Beach area. I was a little hesitant at first cause we weren 't sure how the seating would work and it was getting a little chilly. We first went to Point Lookout Clam Bar which is what we wanted to try initially but all the seats were outdoor. The set-up and view was beautiful as you can see in my picture but we preferred to sit indoors. Total non-issue as the host informed us that Fisherman 's Catch is owned by the same person and the menu is exactly the same. (Yay! So I 'm assuming due to Covid there was minimal table service which was fine. The procedure once you enter is to seat yourself, look over the menu and then go to the bar to order. Seating was perfect as we were there before 5pm and had the whole indoor restaurant to ourselves and we picked the loveliest seat by the window with a spectacular view. The bartender was very helpful was all our inquiries of the menu and ordering was easy. She even let us try some of the draft beer before we ordered as we never had them before. (thank you The food came really quickly. Everything was delicious! My family is self proclaimed seafood fanatics and we loved everything we ordered. The lobster bisque is excellent (no picture as my younger one finished it too quickly. Her only one complaint was that she wanted oyster crackers to accompany the soup. The steamers had a nice sweet aftertaste and my husband kept raving about how fresh they are. Yum! My older one complained when I ordered the grilled calamari claiming that she doesn 't like grilled calamari but once she tried it, she kept raving about how that 's that 's the best grilled calamari she 's ever had! From a previous review, someone mentioned the lobster roll being filled with imitation lobster. This is NOT the case and I checked with the bartender before I ordered as well. The ingredients are all fresh lobster and it tasted delicious. My husband ordered the fried scallops and he enjoyed them very much. The main dishes both came with fries that my family loved as they were thin and crispy. My kids shared the lobster sauce pasta and there were huge pieces of lobster inside the creamy sauce. Also due to Covid I 'm assuming, everything came out on disposable plates. Everything was excellent. So far on our journey to try all the local seafood joints, this venue is definitely at the top of our list so far. It definitely beats out the seafood shack in Oceanside that has the most ratings on Yelp. That one is not bad but this place exceeded our expectation. My kids wants to put their two cents in and said mommy, make sure to give them 5 stars on Yelp . Guess it 's family approved and will be one of our fave local joints from now on. There really weren 't too many customers. Only two other tables showed up when we left but it was really early. No one outside at all. Please support your local eateries especially the delicious ones so they can survive during these difficult times. Thank you for the great service and for being so welcoming when we arrived."

"Burgers were good. Service not so much. The place was practically empty and we had to wait for everything. Ordered drinks, shakes, and ice water for everyone. Had to wait and ask times for the water. Soda finally came after asking times and after most of the meal was finished. Diet Coke tired out to be flatter than flat, like syrup water. Burgers were tasty, but none were cooked to the requested temperature- some too raw and some too overcooked"

"The drinks were really good, the food was excellent, the service was average at best. We had guests in our group who were gluten free our waitress had no idea what was ok for them when asked about appetizers. She was supposed to check never returned until after other guests at our table were almost done with the appetizer that they ordered. She then wasn’t sure about which entrees were gluten free had to return with someone else after taking our order. I even added that our group had gluten free guests when I made the reservation. I picked Cork because the menu looked good the gluten free options were marked on the menu. Apparently the menu has been changed they no longer highlight gluten free items. Very disappointing!"

"McKenzie, our server, was so good about my unfortunate diet restrictions and making sure I didn't get anything that could make me ill. That's really important, and one of the reasons we booked TFK was because of all the alternative choices on the menu. We had plenty of uninterrupted time to chat with our out-of-town guest who came to meet us just for dinner. The only negative was ambient sound: somebody messing with the volume on the music, which went up and down, really loud and not loud, and that we were sitting in a booth that has an overhead that acts a bit like a dome and we could hear, loud and clear, the entire conversation a booth two tables down was having. That was weird but kind of interesting too. The food was good and the gluten-free burger bun was one of the best I've had! The simple green salad is a delight: it's just what it claims to be and the oregano vinaigrette was delicious. We'll be back."

"We thought the common records were a great idea. The food was really good and we share every dish between three people. We ordered four and took home most of the bread, which was enough for lunch the next day. We tried the Brahmin salad, chop the lamb, a noodle dish with chicken and steak flat bread. It's great. Waiter was very nice and helpful. Only the disadvantage was the loud music. We were there at 4pm, so no need to have it so invasive when trying to eat and talk to friends. In the evening, when it's a dance club, that's okay. I'll say the waiter put it a bit on our request, but someone turned it up again before we're done. There were fewer than 10 people eating in this early hour, no reason to radiate music. Restaurant is very dark, but it looks fine. All in all, we would definitely go back."

"We had put on the reservation that my mother was turning 82! It was a birthday celebration. There was no acknowledgement at all concerning this. The waitress didn't ask about it- offer anything at all towards the birthday lady, etc. I'm tact the waitress was a bit disengaged. This was the first time we have been able to get my mother out- and try this restaurant so I was a bit disappointed in that respect. She did enjoy her food though she did not enjoy the after dinner coffee she thought it was not strong enough and prefers a cream vs dairy alternatives."

"Due to mobility issues for one of my parents, we had to get takeout instead of dining in. It was my mom's birthday and she really wanted to have some good seafood so we placed our orders online. Not only was a 15% service charge automatically added to our bill, it didn't come with any utensils and we had to go inside the restaurant to pick up our order even though we notified them online that we were parked right outside. Food was mediocre and our favorite was probably the New England clam chowder. Other than that, it wasn't anything special except for the extra 15% charge for nothing. Probably will be my last time ordering from them."

"For the entrée, I chose the slow-cooked glazed salmon, which my friend also ordered. Unfortunately, neither of us was impressed. The salmon was slightly overcooked and a bit dry, and I found the glaze unsatisfactory. Another dining companion ordered the Pow Pow Beef and absolutely loved it, but since I don't eat beef, I missed out. For dessert, we tried the Chocolate Lava Cake and the "Every Day's Your Birthday" Cake, but the latter was dry as well. We also had cocktails, including the Dusse Sidecar and Lychee Martini, both of which were quite delicious at $20 each. Overall, I would recommend giving JLC a try if you haven’t yet. The appetizers were a highlight. Just keep in mind that this is higher-end Asian cuisine, which might differ from what some may expect. As a side note, Restaurant Week is a great opportunity to sample dishes if you’re uncertain about trying a new place."
