"Came for a 30th birthday dinner and I could cry it was so perfect. Our server was Kacy and she was such a joy to be around and really leaned in to our tables enthusiasm for the meal. All of the food was perfectly prepared, beautifully composed dishes, we did the wine pairings as well which were more complex with the dishes that allowed it and stepped back when required. By the end we were both stuffed silly and happily waddling back to our cars. Truly a once in a lifetime experience I’d love to repeat."

"It’s been a while since I’ve been to Citizen Rail and I’m very glad to report that it’s still an excellent restaurant. I love sitting at the chef’s counter. It’s like dinner and a show! I had the hamachi cruedo to start. It was as beautiful as it was delicious. I followed it with the Ribeye which cooked perfectly and huge! It came with long stem broccoli and duck fat roasted potatoes. Quite a deal for $61! I loved it all. I took about half home and made two more meals out of it. I’m already looking forward to going back."

"We had date night dinner reservations here on Saturday night January 8, 2022. We arrived 10 minutes prior to our reservation. We are always astonished by how seemingly complex and difficult it seems for the hostess to decode their iPad and determine whereto seat a party of two who has had a reservation for a week, but once we got past that we were seated at a nice table. First,this place is in a hotel moderately upscale multiple dining options throughout the hotel, this one being the nicest. For themenu prices, we thought it would have been a bit nicer if they created a bit more of a dining room/cozy feel, possibly closingthe curtains that are open to all hotel guests walking by whether they have yelling children or if they are dragging a redigloo cooler. There is a nice bar located centrally in the restaurant but an unfortunate placement of a light fixture impedesviewing of the televisions hanging around the bar, we thought that was odd. Still however, we had a great server named Hunter.He was prompt and courteous and all too ready to answer every question about the menu. My husband had the halibut and said itwas great and cooked very evenly throughout. The bar ran out of Woodford reserve and he was subbed another bourbon withoutupcharge. I ordered the eggplant Parmesan and I have to say it was the most delicious I have ever had and I would return to thisrestaurant just to order this again. This is a 8 on the 1 10 scale. Yes recommend. Please find a way to create an intimatedining experience in this restaurant and it will be a literal home run"

"The staff at the restaurant were exceptionally polite and attentive, making them a valuable asset. The food was delicious. The only issue I encountered was with the hotel's parking garage. The automatic exit at Calvert Street tried to charge me $90 for less than two hours of parking. When I tried to exit on Woodley Road, I had gone over two hours and was charged $37. This was a hotel issue, not the restaurant's fault, but it affected my overall experience at the restaurant."

"I had my daughter”s graduation dinner in their private dining room for 15 guests. With printed menus awaiting our arrival, guests were welcomed by a glass of Franciiacorta. The room was perfect, food amazing and service wonderful. A shout out to Felix who took care of us and paced the arrival of food as I desired. . I was also able to order a special cake and the pastry chef came out to talk about it. Truly a memorable evening! !"

"40 years and they still get it right. I’ve been many times over the years, but hadn’t been in a while. Went with two friends for the dine out fort Lauderdale menu. They offer an extremely generous, wide array of choices, which is a short contrast to some of the other restaurants that participate, technically, but offer, two or three skimpy choices for each course. They had over 10 choices for each of the first two courses and five desserts to choose from. Everything was terrific, especially the lobster bisque which is as good as that gets the firecracker shrimp with Asian noodle slaw, and the huge shrimp scampi."

"I can understand why on a Friday night, on Valentine’s Day this restaurant was not even half full. It took minutes to be acknowledged by our server and minutes before we got our drinks. hour in we got our bread and appetizers. The manager delivered them and when we told him how long it was taking. He said he “was our guy” and would make sure we were taken care of. That was the last I saw of him. in to the night we got our dinner. A Filet Mignon ordered Med Rare was grey throughout and was only half eaten. No one followed up to see how things were. We dared not return the steak as we had plans for the morning and were afraid we may not get a replacement in time. We did order a couple of deserts and after dinner drinks to split. Those took an additional minutes. The whole experience took hours for a restaurant that was half full!!! Food did taste good other than the one steak temp being WAY over cooked. Service and Manager follow up were awful!! Like I said, I now get why they were empty on a Friday on Valentine’s Day. Probably only included other people that made late reservations like me and won’t make that mistake again. Highway robbery for the price based on the experience. Apparently everyone else already knew that and that was why the place was so empty, I should have caught on. Last time we will be there"

"Lovely evening. My husband always drive by Brock's on the way to Veranda or Highland's. We were tired and we did not want to drive downtown so we pulled in. Serendipity! It was delicious. The service was superb and the ambiance very nice. We had the beef carpaccio and the fritto misto and both were on the same level as Veranda and Highland's. It is very nice knowing there is a restaurant this good so close by. The entrees were wonderful as well. We had the special which was steak and then for dessert the chocalate explosion. Also, (which is no big deal just an added touch) the dishes are pottery made here in Alabama and they are beautiful."

"I had the steak salad at lunch recently and it was fabulous so I ordered the ribeye for dinner. It came as requested and it was good but didn’t have that wonderful flavor that I had the first time. Other than my disappointment everything was very good."

"yesterday evening had an unforgettable and delightful dinner in the htk. it was our first time and will not be our last. the service was excellent, the eating was kreatiw and tasty and the atmosphere was a beautiful combination of fun with a raised flair. our server was the perfect combination of attentive and knowledgeable. when she was, she helped us navigate the menu, select a large sample of fresh oysters and led us to the cook-smack menu that was perfect. when we come back, we will probably try the htk seafood tower that we saw served the joy of the mean. thanks for a great evening htk!"

"I live around the corner from The Ritz so Burlock Coast is convenient. I hold many business and personal meetings over lunch or dinner. The service is outstanding and their attention to detail has gifted me many memorable times. One time, a waiter noticed the conversation was a bit heavy, and kept his distance allowing us undisturbed time for almost 3 hours !!! . He had the sensitivity to know space was needed. Very classy. Food and beverages also superb. Casual and yet sophisticated atmosphere. A neighborhood gem."

"Bree ordered the Prime Ribeye, which came with maplewood smoked bacon and a mushroom demi-glace, while I had the Braised Short Ribs served in a rich Guinness pan jus. Both dishes were accompanied by garlic mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus. We also shared a delicious four-cheese macaroni with andouille sausage. We enjoyed refreshing summer fruit cocktails and some excellent local beer. We decided to try this place on a whim, and we absolutely loved it! The food was incredible, bringing back the flavors of my childhood in a refined way. I can’t wait to return and explore more of the menu. Our waitress was friendly and very knowledgeable, and the beer selection was outstanding. The cocktails were also packed with flavor!"

"I absolutely loved every aspect of our experience! Our server was exceptional, though she appeared to need the help of two additional people to handle everything. The atmosphere was wonderful, even though our table was situated right under a speaker, which made it a bit noisy. On a positive note, the food was exquisite, and we had a great time snacking on popcorn while we waited and caught up. Your location is very close to our son's new home, so I'm sure we’ll be coming back often!"

"A grown up place to eat classic fare prepared and served with the utmost professionalism. When you have grown tired of the hype surrounding the latest and shiniest new restaurant in town that will only be open a couple of years, come to Grant Grill to get food and service that sets a strong standard by which to judge other places. I would not recommend this restaurant for people who want the latest, flashiest flavor of the month. Citrus and beet salad was just singing. Still thinking about that one. Grilled octopus was just smoky enough and served with a dollop of sturgeon caviar. Yum! Scallops are so good it will remind you why you like eating scallops. I loved the risotto entree. Tonight we stayed away from beef and pork, but I'm sure I'll get to those one day."

"Don’t waste your money on the food here, with so many options in the area. The food was not good at all. I ordered the vegan parm, didn’t come with bread or anything, no flavor at all, I added crushed red pepper and that didn’t even help. Ordered a bread basket hoping that help, also flavorless. My husband had the lobster roll and couldn’t not even taste the lobster with all the seasoning they used. My son had the kids grilled cheese, looked like it had been cooked hours ago and the cheese wasn’t even melted. My daughter had the kids salmon and veggies. The veggies were plain and looked like they were the steamer bag ones from the grocery store. No flavor at all, she said her salmon was decent. I would not recommend to anyone, especially for the price. It was a beautiful restaurant, looked like they spent more money on the napkins than the food. Look elsewhere."

"This was our first time there as it came with a friend's recommendations. We were quite pleased with the quality of the food as well as the prices. There were 2 parties there so there service was understandably slow, but it was worth the wait. That said our waiter was very cordial and attentive. We were also happy to discover free jazz on Saturday pm. Great 4 piece group. Afterward we walked around to find the hotel is built around a huge, lovely atrium. Most impressive. We will definitely be back."

"Celebrated my husband's birthday with the Tasting Menu with wine pairings. While the food was selected from the regular menu, it was tastefully put together with excellent wines for a delightful meal. Chef Bob (who was new to us came to the table for a nice chat and was so very kind and down to earth. We really enjoyed hearing his philosophies and thoughts about food (which is always our favorite subject! . The service was wonderfully attentive and we had a marvelous time. We also love to go there and eat a casual meal at their bar great cocktails and fun food. Their cheeseburgers are incredible!!"
