"Prepare to be amazed by the exceptional culinary artistry on display. Every element of the food is thoughtfully crafted, highlighting complex and refined flavors, expert techniques, and the finest ingredients. The presentations are absolutely stunning, transforming each dish into a piece of edible art. Expect a multi-course dining experience that will truly impress you. The staff here is remarkable, demonstrating an impressive knowledge of their ingredients and preparation methods. Their passion is evident through their attentive service. Whatever you choose from the menu, you can count on an extraordinary culinary adventure. Now, let’s talk about some constructive criticism. While the interior decor is luxurious, it might feel a bit over the top for some, as we aren't in Louis XVI-era France. A hint of American luxury could provide a better balance. Additionally, the dining room can sometimes feel a bit empty and lackluster, particularly since it is often chosen for special occasions and may not be very crowded. That said, the overall quality of the experience far outweighs any concerns about the ambiance. Speaking of improvements, some drink prices might raise eyebrows; for example, a $30 Old Fashioned seems pricey, especially considering the portion was only half full. Nevertheless, the complete experience makes up for these minor issues, although a few adjustments would be welcome. During the spring and summer months, they offer a charming alternative on the patio, capturing the essence of a Parisian street-side bistro with a more casual vibe and a slightly lower-priced menu compared to the fine dining experience inside. The waitstaff and sommeliers are outstanding, although it's important to note that the authentic French cooking and meticulous techniques can lead to a slower pace than what we might be used to as Americans. It’s all part of the experience and certainly worth the wait. In conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend this remarkable establishment for any special occasion or when you crave a truly exquisite dining experience. The service, flavors, and culinary craftsmanship easily earn a full 5-star rating from us. While the ambiance gets a solid 3.8 stars due to its opulence, it remains suitable for those looking for a sophisticated setting. I would confidently give it 4 stars for value, acknowledging the investment required for such top-tier dining. As for the wait time, a commendable 4 stars is appropriate. We will definitely be including this gem in our regular rotation of fine dining and special occasion venues. I highly recommend giving it a try; it promises an unforgettable experience that will leave you eager to return."

"How is this place still open? I was really hoping this would be a good experience but from the minute we walked in, it slid down hill quickly. I took my mom and son there for mother’sday brunch. My mom walks with a cane, the hostess asked if we wanted to go upstairs. We were seated quickly. I travel for work and am always in restaurants and the level of bad service from the waiter was one of the worst I have experienced in a long time. He was uncaring, didn’t explain anything and it was as if he expected us to know the menu. He was unattentive and his manner was off putting. Really, St. George train better. The first course came and went the server never checked in. The old fashions were brought out, they were watery and muddled. Who muddles oranges for an old fashioned?! They were awful. The salads were just lettuce, I found one onion piece, for what you pay, do better. The steak frites was a good portion, steak cooked well but the peeper sauce was weak and the fries soggy. Back to the horrible waiter, didn’t get his name but the attitude was palpable and I overheard him speaking in Spanish to the other waiters complaining about other diners. Really, all round not worth the almost $250 check for price fixe that does not include a dessert. Go to a steakhouse, there a few good ones in the area. As we left I commented how the restaurant was not a good value or place. A couple walking overheard and laughed and said, “ yeah we went there once and never again. Same complaints…"

"In the past we have loved every meal that we have had at Steigler's and now the Copper Bar. We were worried when the transition took place, but the new owners wisely decided to keep the same theme, menu, and chief. The food, ambience, service, etc. has always provided a great dining experience until last night. My children and grandchildren are visiting from Texas for Spring Break skiing. We decided to take them to the Copper Bar for dinner. While the ambience was still the same complete with a roaring fire, the rest of the evening was a disaster. The waiter was a great guy and retrospectively I should have handled things differently, but the meal was awful. First, 3 of the 4 adult meals were not what we ordered not even close. The waiter offered to take them back but we had waited so long yes, the wait time was unacceptable) for the meals to be served coupled with young children 6 and 10) tired from traveling, we accepted the meals. This was an extremely bad decision. The weinersnitzel which was incorrectly severed 3 of us ordered the Bratwurst plates) was cold and relatively tasteless. The usual sides which come with this dish were different and not particularly good. Again, I should have sent everything back and to his credit the waiter offered) but due to time factor, tired grandchildren, and a large degree of personal embarrassment in recommending the restaurant, I did not. The bill was significant around $250.00 which would have been fair had the meal come anywhere close to what we have become used to. Everyone can have a bad night and I hope that was the case with our meal. We will go back because for 30 years we have enjoyed this restaurant. If however our experience of last night has become the norm then we will reluctantly have to file Steigler's/ The Copper Bar into our book of pleasant previous memories. I hope our next experience and potentially our last) will come up to their previous standards. It has been a great place for so long."
