"Wonderful relaxed ambiance, romantic and great service. Offering general Mediteranean foods such as humus, we were more interested in the specifically Afghan dishes. Hubby adored the lamb shank with saffron rice. I found many vegetarian choices including Kudu (pumpkin w yoghurt available without meat), Sambosa (pastries with chick peas that remind me of British pasties, my favorite). The desserts were absolutely decadent. I had the mini chocolate cake and hubby had the custard flavored with cardamon and rosewater. Fantastic! I have already recommended Nora to 8 of my friends. We drove 1.5 hours to eat here but we will be back."

"We have been twice in the last 2 weeks ... which describes how much we love Metro 8. The porcini mushroom noodles are my favorite along with steak and tuna. The vegetables are always so fresh and perfectly prepared. The salads are crispy and dressed properly, and the wine list is huge and tasty. Perfect for dates, girls' nights or special occasions. Correctly priced for the top notch food you get. Better steaks than Angus Barn, better pasta than Maggianos, and much cheaper. The terrace is our favorite dining space, but the tables inside are super romantic. We will no doubt be back soon. Great service, fantastic atmosphere, top bar and wine list and local food to celebrate small businesses ... all my favorite things! Parking is so much easier than downtown Durham and we love the taste of 9th Street. The desserts are fantastic and the coffee is delicious."

"I have always enjoyed meals at Stella I hadn't been back since the Pandemic. Met a friend who I hadn't seen in person for almost years. I made a very bad food choice. I ordered the Caesar salad (large) with Shrimp. I should have realized that I could smell the shrimp from diners two tables away! Anyway...it was a terrible choice. It was the worst Caesar salad I ever had. I did not like the lettuce choice (part frisee which wasn't listed in the menu) just a so so dressing and shrimp huge ones) that did have a bit of an odor. My friend's meal (a chicken and salad dish) was great. Service was super. I made a mistake by eating it, should have complained and returned it. But, truthfully I will be back and just order something else!"

"I can tell you how critically underwhelmed I was with this place. With a party of twenty and a volly of different dishes sampled I can tell you there will not be a return trip. With the starters 3 people ordered calamari and 2 of them tried giving the rest away to the rest of the table. With entrees nearly no one finished their meal and many didn't even make a big dent. I had the meatball sub and found the meat to be on the dry side and even the person next to me said it before I commented. The shrimp dish next to me I tried and found the shrimp was overcooked and dry. Everyone at the table commented about the sweetness of the marinara dishes. The decor and the staff where nice though."

"My first time here I always wanted to try it. Today I stopped in on a very busy day, Christmas Eve day, and it couldn't have been more perfect. "I had a wonderful dinner here to celebrate a member of our group’s birthday while we were visiting Myrtle Beach. The food was fantastic, served hot and delicious. Each of the meats was cooked to perfection, just as we requested, and the cocktails were exceptional. Our server was also excellent—very attentive and helpful with any questions we had. "Had a really nice time at Franklin Social on a Friday date night with my wife. The drinks were on point and we shared three different small plates ricotta toast, flatbread and sliders all were excellent. Mario the bartender was attentive and friendly and did a great job with our cocktails. We will definitely return."
