"A Cultural Dining Experience You Shouldn't Miss! The way the food is served and the flavors are quite extraordinary for those of us accustomed to BBQ and fried chicken. I enjoy exploring diverse cuisines, and this experience was truly memorable. Lalibela consistently receives high ratings from diners, and I can see why. I don’t have much to add, but I do have a few reflections from my visit. Initially, getting the hang of using the injera to scoop up the food can feel a bit challenging—it feels messy and awkward for someone raised with a knife, fork, and spoon. However, after a few bites, it starts to feel more natural. The richness of the food surprised me; it seems they use a generous amount of butter. The dishes are packed with a variety of delicious spices typical of Ethiopian and African cuisine, yet none were overly spicy. My son ordered the Siga Wat with a request for extra heat, but it still wasn't very spicy. My wife and I chose the Lalibela Combination, a sampler platter for two, which offered an impressive amount of food. I particularly enjoyed the Tibs and another unnamed beef dish on the platter. Although I usually dislike lentils in any form, I must admit that the two versions we tried were quite good! The restaurant is beautifully decorated, clean, and features excellent, friendly service!"
