I had emailed a menu for a party and they called to confirm. We made some changes to accommodate the number of guests and our budget, and were told the price would be $X per person. However, when we arrived, the bill was double the amount we were quoted. When I inquired about this discrepancy, I was told that I needed to choose a different menu to get the price we wanted. This was frustrating because we had already gone through the menu and selected items based on the budget we discussed. Therefore, I recommend getting any quotes in writing to avoid any surprises at the end of the night, especially if communication is primarily done over the phone."
