"Restaurant was in a nice area off the main street. We had made a reservation for 6:15 but the light freeway traffic had us arrive 1/2 hour early. They seated us anyway. They have inside and covered outdoor seating. We sat inside. It's a large restaurant. The waiter promptly brought us the menus and we ordered our drinks. They serve beer and wine and offer some cocktails. We ordered two appetizers to start, the pickles and the halloumi cheese. The pickle plate was very ample and the cheese was tasty matched with the pita bread. My husband ordered the salmon entree and I had the lamb kabab wrap. This was a lot of food. Took most of mine home for a second meal. The lamb was done medium and the cooks did a good job. My husband's salmon was also perfect. We will be coming back!"

"We went for the Mothers Day Brunch. Food was very good like always. Atmosphere was great. Service was great. Wish the food was labeled so you knew what everything was going through the buffet line. And also the Salad Dressing was not anywhere that we could find for the salads. So the salads were just plain with no dressing available which was a bit odd. And there was not enough serving spoons for each side of the buffet for some of the dishes. So both sides in the line could not grab food at the same time which sometimes held up the lines. Also salt and pepper shakers were not made available or on any of the tables for some reason. It was a bit frustrating that the drinks were not included in the price of the buffet. When it’s already pretty spendy, paying an additional 3.59 per person for a glass of soda is outrageous. Also didn’t like the $30+ service charge added. This kind of forced tipping for service needs to stop. Many places are doing this now. People should be allowed to tip based upon the service they receive. It shouldn’t just be an automatic fee. That’s not right. Gives servers no real motivation to do a good job in customer service when they know they will get a large tip no matter what. But other than that was very happy with the brunch. Will be back again."

"Fresh foods. Good variety for tasty vegetarian meat dishes. Some options a bit pricey for the portions Compared to other similar local eateries that’s why the 4 stars. But a good local stop for healthier options. Food is consistent overall. Recent sit in visit had a friendly knowledgeable server. June 2022 Update: Title: (Yes I Still Recommend This Place, But I’ll Be Drooling Over The Menu From Afar) Still really like the food here, but ouch ordered a horataki salad $12 with grilled chicken $7 added total $19 Added babaganoush (however that’s spelled) It’s just an eggplant dip. $12 up $2 more than before we already thought it was pricey for the portion. Optional but not necessary Extra pita 1 portion $2 up from $1. The salad fresh, delicious healthy but really just good enough for one meal. Plus the babganoush (again please excuse the spelling) portion can be an appetizer for 2 or a light meal for one. Illustrating that for $33 for one meal is, at least for our family, pricey. And that’s not all we ordered so it was very expensive for 2 people for a casual dinning eatery for lunch on a Tuesday. Overall yes I still recommend this place, however for my family I, we cannot eat here as often as we would like or have in the past for all the economic reasons gas prices, food prices at the market etcetera. Whatever the reasons are economic, political, pandemic, climate change the buck always gets passed down to the customer so I’ll be drooling over the menu from afar"

"Ok long story short my mother ordered 3 pizza wings and cheese bread from this place. There was a girl that dyed hair had it was short and she helped my mother with her over the phone order I wish I got her name because she was so respectless reason I went to pick up my mother's order as she does not drive properly. We will wait as I was patient because she was down staff and she did everything that wasn't my problem, my problem was that this girl didn't know that I was my mother's daughter and she talked about my mother with someone else in there and I heard it and I told her she must be more professional because you never know if it was a secret shop thief or someone's family or friends that you hear. So I was very upset about not eating there again. They make sure that they tell you that for everything on your pizza, because that's what they are at my mother's 85 dollars for 3 pizzas small and wings and cheese sticks close, that's a demolition."

"Just ordered take out on whim. Do yourself a favor and simply order the Eggplant dip. It was the most magical experience I've had in a long time. The rest of my order could have been terrible and still would give this place 5 stars just because of this dip. Best thing of all, the rest of our meal was fantastic. The Falafel on pita was so fresh with all of the veggies thrown in. The grape leaves and Greek salad was also a highlight. I can't wait to order from here again. I might have to take advantage and eat in since the restaurant is BYOB. Great job Cedar Tree, you got yourself another committed customer."

"This restaurant is amazing and perfect for a small date or family dinner. They refill the pita bread and their grilled kebabs are delicious. I tried the chicken shish kabob wrap and it had a generous amount of sauce. Although it's a bit pricey as some might say it comes with two sides, they charge separately for them. The décor in the restaurant is beautiful and overall it was a great dining experience. I highly recommend this restaurant."

"There were two men preparing the food and one of them was unmasked which was kind of surprising and has resulted in a four, rather than five star rating. As of February 28th masks in Illinois are optional, but it is not that day yet. On the other hand, the work surfaces looked clean and neat, the floors were clean and the drink cabinet was clean and orderly. No unpleasant odors and no signs of insects was always appreciated! Our cheeseburgers and other food were very good. We will continue to have food from this restaurant delivered or we will pick it up ourselves when we feel safer being out among unmasked people."

"Having a location in our hometown of Washington, D.C., we stopped by their OG location in Hampden on a Baltimore trip. My wife, four-year-old daughter and I stopped in for lunch on a Monday. (Yes, they are open on Mondays when many other local restaurants aren't. Here's our experience: 1 Food: It's delicious! Order in-person or via their app. They sells fries, pitas, drinks, veggie balls, etc. My daughter enjoyed the zucchini balls and fries. My beef pita was tasty and comes with fries inside. I also ordered their orange soda and wow- among the best I've had. 2 Space: It's intentionally small to represent the small cafes found in Greece. The simple decorations on the walls transport you to the Mediterranean. 3 Service: The man behind the register was so friendly. Once we sat down, he brought over a free plate of fries for our four-year-old daughter. He then gave us all free cold water bottles. He came over to chat and gave us a blessing once we left. The best service we had during our trip to Baltimore. There's parking on the street outside the restaurant. When we went, it was easy to find a spot and it was only $1 for two hours."

"The Kabob house has been a welcome respite for my lunches in my work area. The owners provide a great falafel plate, with hummus and tabouli, topped with a pickle, for us that are vegetarian inclined They are welcoming and kind, and they have no problem adding additional dishes to your plate, such as the vegetarian Kabob or the cauliflower, cooked just right. If you're in the vicinity of the arcade on fifth, I would encourage you to stop by and give them a shot, you won't be disappointed."

"I usually don't write food reviews, but I felt compelled to share my experience. The food was extremely subpar and lacked any flavor. It was not worth the money for a decent meal. I recommend avoiding this restaurant altogether. All four dishes I tried were disappointing. Hopefully they can improve in the future. The reviews I read did not match my experience at all."

"I usually go to 67th but i was in the area and ordered from this Jerk 48 thinking I would get the same quality as the other location, but that was not the case. The prices was not listed on the menu board or on the receipt had to get a menu for the prices. 20.08 for a jerk chicken dinner with cabbage and mac cheese. The chicken was dry and not seasoned. The peas and rice was dry and only a spoon full in the box. The mac cheese was creamy with no cheese. $13.23 for a jerk chicken Alfredo and it was a box full of noodles. No sauce, barely any meat/broccoli. $9.41 for a 1/4 white chicken and had to buy sides separate $5.19 for green beans potatoes and they were dry with all potatoes and 3 beans. $5.19 for mac cheese that was creamy with no cheese. All the portions sizes was small and the food was not edible. I spent $59.00 dollars for nothing i just wrote the money off as a loss. definitely will not be wasting my time or money at this establishment again."

"we drove about 1.5 hours to eat here and arrived 19 minutes after the opening. I was surprised to see that the floors had to be swung and tables were wiped out so soon after the opening. we were not greeted when we entered, simply asked to eat or take. After we confirmed that we dinning in us, we were told to scan the menu. we sat and received a lot of free, freshly made pita and zaatar in olive oil (it was very good.) the food we ordered seemed to have taste. I ordered that knife, and it was different than anything I ever had. it was more like a thin piece of maisbrot with melted mozzarella and simple sugar syrup. this place has a beautiful view, but food quality and boring customer service means that I will not be back, especially as it is so far away. this place is listed as a Lebanese restaurant, but it is doubtful that there are any Lebanese cooks in the kitchen. I hope the owners see this review and come with opportunities to make it better. this place has a lot of wasted potential."

"This place is a hidden gem. All dishes are very authentic and absolutely delicious. It is hidden in a shopping center and can be easy to miss. But trust me, you do not want to miss this one. I attended with a group of people and the friendly service they provided was refreshing. we stayed there a while after we ate and even shopped in the market they have that is in the same area. And oh my, you can find spices and items that you will not find at your regular grocery store. I have already recommended Yaffa Grill to several people and suggest everyone give it a try. you won't be disappointed."
