"Fresh foods. Good variety for tasty vegetarian meat dishes. Some options a bit pricey for the portions Compared to other similar local eateries that?s why the 4 stars. But a good local stop for healthier options. Food is consistent overall. Recent sit in visit had a friendly knowledgeable server. June 2022 Update: Title: (Yes I Still Recommend This Place, But I?ll Be Drooling Over The Menu From Afar) Still really like the food here, but ouch ordered a horataki salad $12 with grilled chicken $7 added total $19 Added babaganoush (however that?s spelled) It?s just an eggplant dip. $12 up $2 more than before we already thought it was pricey for the portion. Optional but not necessary Extra pita 1 portion $2 up from $1. The salad fresh, delicious healthy but really just good enough for one meal. Plus the babganoush (again please excuse the spelling) portion can be an appetizer for 2 or a light meal for one. Illustrating that for $33 for one meal is, at least for our family, pricey. And that?s not all we ordered so it was very expensive for 2 people for a casual dinning eatery for lunch on a Tuesday. Overall yes I still recommend this place, however for my family I, we cannot eat here as often as we would like or have in the past for all the economic reasons gas prices, food prices at the market etcetera. Whatever the reasons are economic, political, pandemic, climate change the buck always gets passed down to the customer so I?ll be drooling over the menu from afar ?"

This is one of the best gyros places I've been to. The food is incredibly tasty! I'm definitely coming back!

The food is mix, there was very little protein in my plate, instead there was a lot of rice. The food generally didn't taste good.

The waiter was extremely friendly, and it was our first time dining at this restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious and fresh! I would highly recommend it, 10 out of 10!

The food is excellent! As a picky eater, I was pleasantly surprised. My server, Matthew, was outstanding—he paid close attention to every detail and went above and beyond to ensure my order was exactly how I liked it. View menu

Has indoor and outdoor seating. Entrees average 16 to $18. The side salad is really like whole salad by itself. The food is good not over the top great. They do not have a liquor license but you can bring your own wine there is a $12 corkage fee

This is a small little restaurant with amazing food. The service was excellent and everything came in a timely manner. I thought the food was delicious and the prices were good. I live in northern California and now I will come eat here everytime I visit my mom. I highly recommend this place for great authentic Greek food at excellent prices.

I went to this restaurant for lunch with a friend and had a great experience. It was my first time there and I decided to try the Chicken Souvlaki Plate Kabob, which was absolutely delicious. The chicken was perfectly marinated and cooked to perfection. The hummus and pita were also delicious. I will definitely be returning for more in the future. View menu

The food here is fantastic, but the service can be inconsistent. It's definitely best to visit when Matthew is on shift, as he provides excellent service. Unfortunately, if Giovanni is around, your experience might not be as pleasant. On the bright side, the chocolate mousse cakes are outstanding, and the baklava is delicious. Just a heads up, though—the floor can sometimes feel quite hard.

"EMIE'S RESTAURANT is a busy eatery that is well-known for it's breakfast menu. We went in the evening to try their Mediterranean vegan/conventional menu. Emle's food is light, not oily, salty, or saucy. Our server, Omer, did an excellent job explaining each dish. As an appetizer, we ordered the breaded and fried portobello mushrooms. It was served with a lovely garlic sauce. All four of us enjoy this vegan specialty. I found the vegan vegetable plate to be ample and satisfying. The house-made pita, served with the plate, is delicious. The other guests also enjoyed their meals, however, one guest found the lobster risotto too rich. One caution: the bread dip cantains cheese and is therefore not vegan. There where no vegan desserts on the menu. Covid masks are required for entry. UPDATE: Sam, the new owner, has polished the menu. Not a lot was changed. There's a new chef. Our meals tasted a smidgen better. Sam stopped at our table to make sure everything was fine. It was. We have returned several times since this review was first published. Emie's new chef and Sam have never disappointed. Both patio and restaurant seating are available. Emle's is near California State University. Students and faculty with ID cards, are offered a discount. On Sunday, Monday, and Thursday alcohol drinks are half price. Parking, including wheelchair parking, is free and easy. Everything else, including the neutral-gender bathroom, is wheelchair accessible."

"First, I want to say this review is LONG overdue. Second, I want to say that a few years ago, I realized that eating beef or pork typically causes me severe intestinal distress, so I very rarely eat either. And lastly, it?s imperative to say that I am perhaps the pickiest eater on the planet. My adult sons tell me my food palate is that of a toddler ? I won?t eat, or even try most foods, including eggs, seafood, fish, or foods that look weird or have mushy textures (like mushrooms or tofu), in addition to a litany of other foods, so if I write a positive food review, rest assured, the restaurant, and food, was phenomenal. Months ago, I was invited to Los Angeles, with my friend of more than thirty years, Martha. On our first evening, we went to eat at Buenos Aires Grill with her aunt, uncle, mom, and cousins ? in total, we were a party of seven. All of the food ordered was shared, family style. Since I had heard so much about the restaurant, I knew I wanted to try everything ? and clearly, I (almost) did. Since Martha had eaten there before, and she knows my likes and dislikes, I requested she place the order on my behalf. We started with the empanadas. OH, MY GAWD? THESE empanadas are the ABSOLUTE BEST I have EVER eaten ? EVER? E.V.E.R. and I have lived in Cuba, México, and Spain? The empanadas are sheer PERFECTION? they APPEAR to be fake ? they are absolutely flawlessly shaped and baked? their crust is neither too thin nor too thick. The filling was drool inducing and I, honestly, genuinely, doubted the taste could be improved, but once I topped the empanada with the chimichurri, if I would have died, in that moment, I would have rested in peace as the happiest human on Earth. She also ordered both the Quesos Fundido and Provoleta and the Chimichurri and (French) Bread (baguette) ? I LOVE CHEESE, and French bread, but, once again, I am PICKY ? and skeptical of new foods. Both the cheeses caused my salivary glands to go into elated overdrive. The union of cheese, chimichurri, and the baguette? TO DIE FOR. I don?t know if Martha ordered the Manolo or Buenos Aires Parrilla, but I ate a bite, or two, of each and every single one of the elements. Despite having lived in Texas since 1990, and as an individual who has eaten countless steaks, ribs, sausages, and chorizo, I have never eaten more deliciously seasoned, epically prepared, and perfectly grilled bites of beef and pork. In addition to the meat, the parrillas were accompanied by mashed potatoes, French fries, Spanish rice, and sautéed vegetables. HOLY MOLY ? each side was mouthwatering, scrumptious, delightful. Fearing I would not want to eat the meat, based on the aforementioned explanation, Martha also ordered the Spinach Cheese Ravioli and the Chicken Alfredo? I have eaten A LOT of pasta dishes in my day? I was raised to believe I was 50% Italian (thanks to 23andMe, I now know that is false). In any case, I?m confident t"

"It hurts to say, but this was the most REGRETTABLE food experiences I 've had. My family is against letting food go to waste if no one wants it, at least let our dog or cats have it but we ended up throwing out all the sides to the trash. Sometimes food is okay, could 've been better or just not your cup of tea, but this was downright horrendous and a waste of nearly $85. Just go to Popeye 's instead. I 'm not sure who I 'm more disappointed with: those who prepared the food or everyone that 's been giving this place four and five star reviews. We got fried chicken, shrimp jambalaya, chicken creole, chicken sandwiches, and sides (potato salad, toast, yams, greens, and clam chowder). I enjoy trying new cuisines here in the Valley, but I will not ever come back here even if the food was on the house and here 's why. First of all, we waited inside nearly 40 minutes for our food. While you look around at the Mardi Gras beads on the chairs and decorations on the shelves, t 's hard to not notice the stained floors. The linoleum has probably been like that for a long time, despite how many times they mop, but it certainly makes you wonder what condition the kitchen is in. So what right I thought. A lot of buildings in the valley haven 't been renovated for decades. Plus, its expensive and restaurants have overhead and staff to pay. At the end of the day we came for the food right? Now, the food itself was horrible. If I could describe it with a meme, it 'd be the middle aged white guy saying You 're not that guy pal. Trust me, you 're not that guy. My mom described the fried chicken as lacking seasoning, smelling funky, and tasting like it was fried in oil that had not been changed in a long time. My sister, who had a fried chicken sandwich, also said it tasted like old oil instead of the spicy Creole seasoning it is described as. My brother and I had the Chicken creole and shrimp jambalaya, respectively. It was reminiscent of middle school forcing myself to eat the cafeteria food cause I forgot my lunch at home. Worst of all were the sides (seen in the pictures above). The potato salad? Tasted like mayonnaise flavored whipped cream. The clam chowder? Gerber with specks of clam. The yams? Mush in a light watery cinnamon and sugar syrup. The greens? Salty, bitter, with the stems still on. Even the toast was bad: it tasted like the crumbs at the bottom of the toaster that haven 't been tossed out in a week. We were gonna get mac n cheese instead of yams, but our server said it was not great today, so if this was the best they had to offer....yikes. For a soul food restaurant, the food here has no soul. At best, its mediocre. At worst, just don 't come here in the first place. The food did not taste fresh and lacked flavor. For as long as we waited, you would expect the line to be out the door but it wasn 't. Seriously, waste of time and money."
