"THANK YOU! THANK YOU Shamm! We went to this beautiful restaurant and were warmly welcomed. The owner is such a great person, here is why. I parked at useless Afrah parking and they called the tow truck, and lifted my car. Shamm's owner sent his guys to help me out ASAP. He helped me get the cash back and HE DID NOT CHARGE ME FOR THE FOOD. Although it was my problem. He is very hospitable. He honors his guests. The food was full of flavor by the way. I love it!!!"

"This restaurant is a great spot for enjoying hookah, although they do not allow BYOB. The ambiance where the hookahs are located is stunning, with vibrant colors and a cool atmosphere perfect for gathering with friends. The flavors, especially the Starbuzz double apple, are delicious. The food is decent for a Mediterranean restaurant, and there are plenty of dessert options available at the front counter. Despite being part of a chain, I never get tired of visiting this restaurant and would gladly try any new additions in the future. Overall, I would give this place 4.5 stars for its pleasant atmosphere and great hookah experience."

Tonight, I was in a Mediterranean mood and had a taste for a Greek salad all that entails; so l My salad arrived with exactly 4 tiny olives. 2 cherry tomatoes. 3 mall cucumber slices, and... 4 tiny cubes of feta cheese. The Rest of the Greek Salad Large), consisted of chopped iceberg lettuce STEMS! Not an iceberg leaf 2B found anywhere, an although the lamb was good, it was not part of the advertised dish, they were an add on. I apos;m getting a little tired of restaurants skimping on their ingredients just because the ingredients might be a little expensive. If U can apos;t afford to give the customer adequate olives and feta cheese an integral part of what makes a Greek salad tasty), then perhaps U should remove the salad from your menu altogether. Stop being so stingy!"

"A trip to Astoria is absolutely worth it! Although we don't have a fleet license yet, they do allow BYO. Be sure to try the scallops and shrimp (available as specials off the menu)—these are two separate seafood dishes cooked in a cast iron pan with butter, garlic, lemon, and parsley. The lamb was tender and had a mild flavor, which was nice. We also tried the manti served with sour cream. While it wasn't my personal favorite, that's just a matter of taste since I don't particularly enjoy manti. Overall, I highly recommend this place!"

"This is one of the best Mediterranean restaurants in Columbus. As someone who grew up in a predominantly Iranian neighborhood, and someone who grew up eating at multiple Armenian, Persian, Lebanese, other Arabic restaurants in Los Angeles, I finally found a place in Columbus that serves well-seasoned and well-portioned Mediterranean food. Seriously, something about Bethel Road brings ethnic food to the level it needs to be. A lot of the other restaurants in Columbus are very toned-down and Americanized. My previous favorite for Mediterranean was Cafe Istanbul by the river, but their rice is unironically, very white and plain. We ordered the family combo platter for 3-4 people, and as a Mexican family who eats in feasts, we still had food leftover for the next 2 days. I'm from a big city with lots of ethnic cuisine options, and even though I've been frequently disappointed by the quality and authenticity of food in Columbus, Bethel road has shown me some of the best ethnic options in the city. Don't sleep on this place!"

"Went there to celebrate my birthday. When we initially arrived the hostess seemed upset to seat us outside, although there was space to seat us there. One of the servers told her he would make a table for us, thank goodness for him. Once seated outside our waitress was wonderful, she was very friendly and offered suggestions. The food, it was ok. My husband who is never picky didn’t care for the lamb he ordered. He felt it was over cooked. My chicken kebabs were salty. To play devils advocate, my husband and I love Mediterranean, Middle eastern food, which is why we had higher expectations for the place. The food was overpriced as well. We don’t mind spending as much as we did if at least the food and overall service wowed us. However, the Turkish wine and the Baklava was tasty. Will I go back? No, it was a one and done for me. Should you try this place? Sure, you may have a different experience than we did."

"Unfortunately, we made two visits and enjoyed it, but our third experience was completely different, and we won’t be returning. First, when you order a wrap that includes everything, I only received two ingredients, despite many other options being available that they refused to add. Secondly, the staff was not welcoming at all; they just glanced at each other when we walked in, as if they weren’t expecting any customers, which explains why the place was empty. Lastly, the garlic sauce tasted like nothing more than salt water—very salty with no hint of garlic."

"I visited just as the shop opened and found that the food prep area was clean and being stocked. I was quickly greeted and informed that they were out of arugula and couscous. The greens that were out and available looked a little sad and wilted so I skipped and opted for the grain and protein bowl with quinoa and paneer tikka. The grains and protein looked fresh and smelled great, but the portion felt lacking. Onto the spread, I chose the harissa hummus and the raita. The hummus has an unexpected kick which is balanced great by the raita. For toppings, I opted for the sprouts which were fine and tomato cucumber salad which tasted soggy and not fresh. I had the bowl dressed with some tamarind and mint chutneys.For my side, I had the garlic naan and a small mango lassi (with rose and cardamom). The naan was hot, fresh, and the best part of the meal. The lassi was your average mango lassi, I wasn’t able to taste the rose or cardamom, but it was still yummy.I paid right under $20 for the whole meal, which I think is a little expensive for a casual lunch type place. I like the idea and execution of a Mediterranean/Indian place, but was disappointed by some of individual items. I’d like to come back during a lunch/dinner rush to take advantage of the turnaround freshness of some of the toppings.-1 star for overall value for money, portion:price; wilted greens on service line and missing options-1 star for the subpar tomato and cucumber salad and mango lassiupdate 1/3/21: Went back for a second try and this was a much better experience. I think the best move is to visit post lunch hour as the food absolutely tasted a lot more fresh and the portions were larger. Naan was phenomenal again. Up to 5 stars."

"Love this place. 3rd time we have been here over the past year and food was authentic and delicious each time. Haven't had a bad dish yet. Hummus is amazing (as much as hummus can be). Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is location and decor. It looks like a fast food restaurant from the outside and inside and is in an area that has seen better days, but is coming back around. Food is cooked when ordered so you may have to wait a bit if it's busy or when dining in. I also did have a snafu with online ordering the one time i tried it. If you like authentic Persian/Mediterranean and you aren't picky about style and location, then definitely worth a try. (Also, there aren't any other choices in a pretty large radius so it is either here or drive to Charlotte). Lastly, price is appropriate for the type of cuisine. Not overpriced, but not exactly cheap."

"Old rotten food. Update: I didn't eat the food, stop lying, all of your falafel and platter is as it is left on the table. You charged over priced for every food. Even xhatged.79c for hot sauce that I could have bought the whole bottle for that price. Your beef was old and hard, I couldn't chew or break it even with a saw. I will complain health department to come and look at your place. And for the record put a freaking price sign for all of your items before overcharging anyone."
