"You can customize your pizza with either a thin or thick crust and a variety of toppings, then watch it cook in a wood-fired grill. While that sounds appealing, the reality falls short due to the poor quality of the ingredients. The sausage resembled pre-frozen, semi-molded balls; the red onions were translucent from sitting too long in water; and the pineapple was canned, which was acceptable but not impressive. The jalapeños were the mushy pickled variety, and although the red sauce was decent, the cheese was disappointing. It was akin to the hard mozzarella balls you find at supermarkets, not the soft, fresh mozzarella available at better restaurants and artisan markets. This definitely impacts the overall quality.
During my two visits, the first pizzas were cooked well. However, during my second visit, they were severely overcooked, with the cheese changing from white to orange to a crusty brown. To make matters worse, my order wasn’t called out when it was ready and ended up sitting in the warming drawer. This caused the texture to go from crunchy (burned) to chewy and rubbery. When I asked about my order, the staff member just said it was in the warming drawer and assured me it was still warm.
I took home two pizzas and the last salad of the day, which the server promised was fresh. Upon serving the salad, I found myself picking through mushy onions and tomatoes and had to discard about 30% of the lettuce that had turned brown. We resorted to eating one of the pizzas out of desperation, but the other was thrown away after just a single slice. I will never return.
Additionally, I noticed that the owners required their employees to work in extremely hot conditions, while other more considerate restaurant owners allowed their staff to take the afternoon off due to the excessive heat."
