"Wifey and our daughter-in-law and I paid a visit to our nearest Akashi. Daughter-in-law enjoyed a bento box with Kung Pao chicken, no rice, miso soup, a California roll and Asian salad, she loved it. My wife got a bento box with some of the best tempura shrimp she's ever had, I concurred while eating a couple of her shrimp. She had Asian salad, no rice and a California roll too. I went with General Tso's chicken, the chicken was a little chewier than I like and not as warm temperature wise and spice level... as I like..... making my dish only 3 stars. the broccoli, rice and egg roll were better than 3. My wonton soup was a four, the noodles were firm but the broth could use more flavor. The service provided by Chris was stellar. I'd come back for the tempura shrimp."

"My family and I came in for lunch/dinner. We were not happy with the service at all. We got our soup spring rolls quickly, and within a few minutes out came our meals, no time to eat soups or spring rolls. We felt very rushed, there wasn't anyone other than us and the workers there. As we were eating our meals they sat down and ate as well in the restaurant. They offered no cups with ice for our sodas only the waters they brought out, and the containers the hot mustard and duck sauce were in were all sticky. We will NEVER dine in again. The tip reflected the service we got, we were not asked if everything was ok throughout our visit, and we were not asked if we wanted tea, they just sat us down and gave us water and sodas. Normally I would not have left a tip at all after the service we got she must have had a bad day."

"I found this restaurant while I was near Conimicut Point, and my friend and I decided to give it a try. The atmosphere was quite dimly lit, featuring a high wooden ceiling, which added to its charm. We were seated and served promptly, and our appetizers arrived surprisingly quickly. The portions were generous, making it quite filling, even though we only ordered appetizers. The taste was decent, but I could see this place being perfect for catering or large gatherings. I expected the total to be around 70 or more, but it came to just under 60, which was a pleasant surprise. We tried spare ribs, fried dumplings, beef teriyaki, spring rolls, and a few other dishes. Our server was also very sweet, adding to the overall positive experience."

"The menu features classic Chinese cuisine, though it lacks specific Cantonese dishes. A more fitting name might be Hunan Pearl. I had been eager to try some beef chow fun, but unfortunately, it wasn't on the menu. Despite that, the flavors were spot on, and the portions were very generous. We ordered house combination lo mein, Singapore rice noodles, hot and sour soup, wonton soup, and mu shu pork with four pancakes. The combination lo mein was excellent, with tender pork, chicken, and beef. The noodles were cooked perfectly—not too soft—and the seasoning was just right, not overly salty. The kids really enjoyed it, and there was enough to easily feed one adult and two kids. The Singapore rice noodles and mu shu pork were also hearty with plenty of protein and tasted great. The pancakes served with the mu shu pork resembled flour tortillas, which was an interesting twist. While there’s no table service, the staff were more than willing to provide plates, napkins, and utensils for you to serve yourself if you dine in. Overall, the staff was courteous and polite, making our experience enjoyable."

"Lady at the front was EXTREMELY rude and pushy! The menu on Christmas was cash only but we didn’t know until we went inside. They claim that their computer is down. But we said we didn’t have enough cash. They said we can use a card and the card system worked just fine and wasn’t down like they claimed. They just wanted to pocket the cash and get you out as fast as possible. We had to keep asking for more cups and stuff like that. Way too small for all these people. Menu says no sharing than says 12 dollars to share. Than say 13 and under CAN share but they still charge them to share. Dessert was just canned pineapple in small plastic cups.Update: sitting people at dirty tables. Shoving people’s food before they are done with the spring roll and soup. Customers having to clear the table they are seated at. Wait to crowed for this small space. Table isn’t cleared from soup dishes before the main dishes come out. You only get water. Nothing else.Update: the food is tasteless. The only good thing was the tea. The menu stated egg roll but you get a spring roll. They keep seating people without wiping the table down. Food. was not hot. They also was rushing us to finish to turn over the table for more people. Seemed like they pre-cooked everything with how fast the main dishes was coming out right after the soup. The meat in the beef and broccoli tasted like frozen old meat. The broccoli was ok. But again tastelessOverall. This place is not good. Will not be back. Would not recommend. I’m Jewish so I did what a lot of Jews do. Eat Chinese on Christmas!! Save your money go to P.F. Chang’s or Panda Express"

"I frequently visit this restaurant. Since the pandemic, the prices have increased and the food quality has significantly decreased. However, they still offer a great variety of dishes. I enjoy their seafood soup and shrimp. They also serve a wide selection of fresh fruits and desserts. The restaurant is clean and the service is fast. It's easy to find a table on weekdays, although there may be a short wait on weekends sometimes. Overall, the wait is not usually very long."

"I tried this restaurant for the first time, and I was really impressed by the prices! Typically, a happy family platter at other places costs $18 or more, but here it was only $12! Plus, Crab Rangoons are usually around $9, and they’re just $6 here! The prices are fantastic, and the food was delicious. I ordered the happy family, crab rangoons, and an egg roll, all of which were fresh and flavorful. While the crab rangoon wasn’t as sweet as I usually like, it was still tasty! The person I spoke to on the phone was very friendly and even gave me directions to ensure I found the restaurant easily. My food was ready in under 15 minutes, and the place was very clean as well. I highly recommend it!"

"Ordered and paid by credit card. Food, Delivery charge, fee and tip. When food arrived driver wanted more money. Said it was too far. I should have known that in the beginning. And to top it all off, the food was awful. Lo Mein noodles thick and dry and the meat tasted funny. Had to throw it out. I will never order from this restaurant again."

"Chinese food is Chinese food, nothing to write home about as it all pretty much taste the same anywhere you go (unless it's a really really good upscale place). So I ordered the sweet and sour chicken lunch special w/o breading. I did't know that meant white boiled chicken with ZERO seasoning and zero flavor, but I do now. I did to-go so I was in and out. That's it for service. Here's a picture of the new menu prices. I don't mind paying for a great meal, and often get frustrated when people get upset over the price of good food because they'd rather go cheap for **** food than spend a little extra for a meal well worth it!! I really think it should be the owners obligation to update prices for customers to see, not the customer. Had I known the price change I definitely would've went elsewhere."

"We had just landed and checked into a hotel in Pompano Beach. We looked on open table for something close. I will admit when we first drove up to the strip center I had a few doubts. But it turned out to be interesting, quiet and the food is great. Our waitress was really fun--an older lady with a great sense of humor who seemed to really care. So refreshing in this day and time. The food looks like regular Chinese food but everything was a bit elevated including sauces. My only suggestion is that the owners become a bit more flexible about substitutions. When a guest wants to sub something that is actually cheaper go with it. This is not excitement central but there is good food at a good price and it is nice and quiet there. Try it!"

"I ordered lunch and was impressed by the quick and friendly delivery. The boneless spare ribs were decent but could have used a bit more sauce; still, they were satisfactory. The vegetable steamed dumplings were flavorful, though a bit on the doughy side. The General Tso's chicken was excellent. We also received two complimentary sodas with our $22 order (which came to $25 with tip). I would definitely order from here again."
