"I came here after all my fellow yelpers posted about the event that ended two days ago. Tucked away in a corner of a shopping plaza on Semoran and south wekiva road this hidden gem is a great dining option for a wide spread menu. We started with the carb lovers unite. The biscuits were warm(ish), similar to Cracker Barrel style, but the cinnamon maple butter was cold hard- breaking apart with every attempt to spread it on 5/10. The corn bread was a 2/10, it was dry and crumbled so much that you couldn't pick it up to bite it, literally you had to eat it with a spoon to prevent it from spilling everywhere. The pineapple spread tasted great. My sister had the chicken fried plate with onion straws and collard greens.... The chicken was good 8/10 as were the onion straws 7/10. The collard greens were a pass for all four of us at the table 0/10. They were microwave warm, tasted canned and lacked seasoning. I had the true love with meatloaf crumbles. It was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS 15/10!!! My daughter had the Boozie Bread with turkey bacon and cheese eggs. The French toast was described as crispy and the eggs were meah. Scored a 6/10. The chicken pot pie wasn't the typical pot pie. It didn't have crust at all, just a biscuit on top of very tasty goulash, 7/10 Based off of our dining experience we skipped the desserts. The sweet tea was a good balance and not too sweet. I was satisfied with our trip as was my party. We would eat here again if we were in the area."

"We were in Pensacola for the week and decided we needed to make a day trip to Mobile. I rarely get cajun/creole at home, given that I currently live in a landlocked state, so I was excited to try Bourdeaux's! This is an instance where I wish Yelp offered half stars, as this is a solid 4.5 for me. We ordered a smattering of apps (fried green tomatoes, pimento cheese, loaded fries, and the blackened gator . All were good and Mr. Picky Pants LOVED the gator! (Can you believe that??? like L O V E D it!! It was delicious!! I was torn between the crawfish etouffee and the shrimp and grits (an all time fave of mine so, yeah, I ordered both!! The etouffee was amazingly well done! I really enjoyed that it had both stewed and fried crawfish. The shrimp and grits is the reason that Bourdeaux's did not receive 5 starts from me. Though the plate was beautiful, the remoulade really just tasted like creamy tabasco sauce and other than the kick, didn't have a tone of flavor. The grits were grit cakes (I'm accustomed to these being creamy for this dish though the shrimp was cooked perfectly! Our whole party enjoyed their meal MPP ordered the voodoo pasta, hubs had a steak and MPP's GF had the fried seafood platter. All were good! We ordered the beignets, banana bread bread pudding, as well as the key lime pie (with four forks . Also great!! BIG dessert servings, definitely meant to share! (and let me also say, that I don't really care for key lime pie. I would never order this on my own accord but this was hands down THE BEST key lime pie I've ever tasted!!!THIS I would order again without hesitation!! 8 thumbs up and 4 food babies later... definitely would recommend!!"

"Got breakfast here, but boy, do they skimp out on ingredients. I got the dungeness crab omelette, described as coming with avocado. The omelette itself was tasty but couldn't have been made with more than two small eggs. The crab meat itself was great, and I had a few good mouthfuls. The single small slice of avocado that came on top of the omelette... was kind of sad. I got the homefries with it, and they didn't look like photos I had seen in other reviews. Maybe I didn't look close enough. I expected pan-fried potatoes, onions, and peppers. Instead, I got small cubed potatoes that seem to have been deep fried or even air fried. They were crispy and dry on the outside and slightly moist in the center. I got maybe 3 specks of bell pepper, and likewise for the onion. It also came with a biscuit, and this was the star of the plate. The other items might have well been a side to this thing. It came with butter and what I think was strawberry rhubarb jam, which I loved. The buiscuit was crispy on the outside and fluffy in the center. Unfortunately, the food also came out luke-warm, I don't need it to be screaming hot, but it definitely had been sitting at the pass a little too long or something. The staff was very nice and the restaurant has a cool atmosphere. Overall, my meal wasn't bad. It had plenty that I liked, but it was way overpriced for the portion and could have come out hotter/fresher. If the homefries would have been better, that and the buiscuit could have made me overlook the meager omelette. I would like to come back and try dinner sometime.
