"Our party of seven, including two young children, dined at Angus at 6:45 PM on a Tuesday.

We ordered the Porterhouse for four, and it was outstanding. The nutty flavor was a testament to the 35 days of aging, which really paid off! My only small complaint was that the plate could have been hotter to keep the steak warm for longer. I did feel the need to add a bit of salt and pepper, but that's easy enough to adjust. Unlike other steakhouses like Ruth's Chris or The Palm, the steak was neither greasy nor overly buttery; the exterior was wonderfully crispy while the inside was cool and red.
As for the sides, we chose steak fries, mashed potatoes, asparagus, and broccoli. The mashed potatoes were served barely warm and definitely could have been hotter, but the other sides were enjoyable.
For dessert, we had the Tiramisu, which we all loved. However, it would have been nice to know that it was a coconut tiramisu (I'm not sure if that was listed on the menu), as it deviated from the traditional version.
The restaurant has a wonderful corking policy at $40 per bottle, with nice glasses, decanting options, and excellent service.
As I mentioned, we had young kids with us, and the staff was very accommodating and made us all feel welcome.
The atmosphere was refreshing— a welcome break from the loud, bustling traditional steakhouses. This was the first time in years that I dined in a New York restaurant that wasn't too noisy! I know I'm sounding like my dad, but I truly can't stand loud restaurants, and the sound level here was just right.
Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I look forward to returning. It’s also a great spot for a business dinner."
