"I started with the TUNA TARTARE, which featured tuna mixed with capers, chives, and lemon, served alongside smoked salmon. This light yet satisfying appetizer was a refreshing take on traditional tuna tartare. I had never experienced the combination of tuna tartare with smoked salmon before, and it worked surprisingly well. It also included thin cucumber slices, adding an extra layer of freshness, along with some crostini for topping with the tartare and salmon. For the main course, I had the LOBSTER TAGIATELLE, which consisted of black ink tagiatelle pasta with pieces of lobster, tomatoes, and mushrooms in a lobster vodka sauce. This dish was the highlight of my meal! I love squid ink pasta, and this preparation was simply excellent. The combination of tomatoes and mushrooms in the lobster vodka sauce created a delicious contrast to the richness of the pasta without overwhelming its flavor. Unlike many restaurants, they didn’t drown the pasta in sauce but lightly coated each strand, allowing the dish to shine. The pieces of lobster were generous and incredibly satisfying, making the combination of pasta and seafood feel quite indulgent. Finally, I opted for the FLOURLESS CHOCOLATE CAKE for dessert. While it was the simplest dish I tried, it still made for a solid finish. I appreciated that it wasn't overly sweet. The service was friendly, and there's a parking structure just over a block away, which is convenient (though I think it only has a few spots). Plus, the corkage fee is just $2! Overall, I give a thumbs up to Cafe Bizou, especially for the black ink pasta!"

"Unfortunately, the birthday celebrant was at the table of 5, and they had a server whose name I didn’t catch, mainly due to her poor attitude. She wore the same black gloves throughout our visit. Despite having a reservation, we were made to wait an additional 30 minutes to be seated, while she rushed to accommodate other parties, including a couple that arrived after us. The host did point out that we had a reservation before them, but that didn’t seem to change anything. Throughout our Sunday brunch, there were several frustrating issues, but the most disappointing part occurred when she attempted to charge the table of 5 a "Large Party" fee of 20%. As far as I know, that fee applies to groups of at least 6, which they weren't. I asked her to remove it, and while she seemed surprised, she did comply. However, it was too late to refund the rest of the party; she mentioned, and I was eager to leave before things got worse. Management, I have the receipt(s) and would appreciate an explanation as to why the refund couldn’t be processed in a timely manner. On a positive note, I want to thank the host from Sunday morning! She was sweet and patient, maintaining her smile despite the chaos around her with servers, management, and guests. Lastly, Elijah, our server for the table of 9, always made sure we had fresh plates and kept my water filled. Thank you again!"

"This restaurant is unique considering it has many different chefs that each cook off their own menu; this is a great concept and the variety in menus was nice. The atmosphere is fun and chill, however it is surprisingly small for how many menus it has. The wait staff were friendly and offered good menu suggestions, especially for the drinks but they do not check back often to refill drinks water/sodas) even during the afternoon when it’s slow. For a drink I ordered the agave vanilla cream soda which was recommended by the waitress; this drink was really good. We ordered the Grim Reaper which is a burger that has red pepper jelly chipotle aioli on it. This burger had two 4 oz patties on it that were more on the well done side. The sauce had a bite but wasn’t too spicy. The bread was soft and sweet. Overall the burger was good, but not worth the price point $13) it was at. For the price the burger was small and did not fill my husband up. Burgers at this restaurant do not come with a side of fries so we also got an order of loaded fries. We loved the loaded fries which came with a KM cheese sauce, bacon, sour cream, and scallions. I ordered the baja mahi tacos and was rather disappointed with them; I have had better at other restaurants. The corn tortilla shell was like leather. You had to bite and pull hard to get it to tear apart. It was not the easiest to chew either. The mahi was very fishy in flavor and for being tempura it lacked crispiness. My favorite part of the taco was the topping which consisted of avocado, pickled red cabbage, cilantro, and lime crema. The shopping area around the restaurant was unique, however after having the leathery tortilla and the food for the price not filling our family up we will be eating elsewhere in the future."

"I was REALLY disappointed with my recent visit. I have dined here for than 20 years for almost every special occasion and have gotten their “famous” prime rib EVERY time. Unfortunately, for the very first time, our whole meal was terrible. I’m not sure if it was a combination of maybe a new chef ? And the quality of the prime rib was not edible. My guest and I both ordered the 14 ounce prime rib at my constant raving of how good it was. The cap of the prime rib was fine but the heart of the piece of meat was very tendony and we were not able to chew through it and had to keep spitting out the mouthful after chewing on it for a very long time. It seems that they are no longer purchasing Prime or Choice grade of beef…perhaps because of the pandemic and they need to save money? But since I was paying more than $135 for two prime rib dinners, it was abominable. Additionally, we both chose the rice pilaf which was very underdone as much of it was actually crunchy, sadly. I am not one to complain about my food usually but when our server came to us at the “end” of our meal, I told to “Please inform the chef that the heart of he prime rib was not chewable and that the rice pilaf was way under done and inedible. Our server was very apologetic and said that I should have told her before, but firstly, she never came to check on us after we were served which I don’t mind because I don’t like to be constantly be interrupted during my meal and secondly, I generally never complain about my meal but rather want to inform the chef of issues if need be. Our server was very sweet and actually had the chef slice me a thin piece of prime rib to take home which was very nice and tried to make up for the i chewable meat. However, it was probably taken off the same piece of meat because I tried to eat it tonight for dinner but alas I had to toss it out because the heart of it was still tendony and not edible. I’m really disappointed with the experience which was my anniversa"
