"This lovely, unassuming place was a revelation! In contrast to the normal burger- and hot dog-focused eateries which dot the Catskills area, this charming cafe serves genuinely home-made food, expertly yet lovingly prepared. We ordered the meatloaf dinner and a BLT sandwich. The meatloaf was tender and delicious, the gravy was not cloying or syrupy, and the mashed potatoes were just perfect. Of special note was the coleslaw which had the perfect level of crunch and not sweet as mass produced coleslaws usually are. The BLT sandwich on rye was another example of expertise in making a simple item which most restaurants get wrong, but Creekside Cafe got it right! The accompanying potato salad was fresh and was dotted with egg yolk which was an especially nice touch. All in all, this little gem of a cafe is a must visit in Grand Gorge. Avoid the huge factory -like places nearby and enjoy a great meal here in a calm, family atmosphere."
