"The food wasn't that good. I had a Swiss cheese burger with hand cut fries, the roll was cold and slightly stale and the fries they brag about were way over cooked and yet cold and hard. Also had mozzarella cheese sticks with marinara sauce and they were ok at best. We also had a chicken Caesar wrap that had two small previously frozen chicken strips and some iceberg lettuce. If I said it was bland that would be saying it had flavor. The fries that came with it were of course over cooked, hard, and cold. All this came to $38.50 with 2 ice teas. Plus add a 15% tip which after over 30yrs in the food industry was overly generous but I did cut some slack seeing she was buried with little help. I'm going to say the reason it was so sub par was because of new owners that should have let what was from what I hear a great place with good food alone but of course didn't. Now would I ever go back or send anyone there, well that's a easy one. No"

"This review is fair and honestly accurate. I attempted to resolve directly with the establishment, but was unsuccessful. I was told they cannot deliver because they are short staffed, but I was told that last year as well, so apparently, they cannot get their staffing issues resolved either. After my husband picked up my order and delivered it to me, almost an hour round trip in a storm, I received a terrible meal. The only edible portion was the pizza. The garlic knots were swimming in what I believed was oil, but was corrected by the owner that the pool was butter and it 's the way people like it here . Didn 't realize there was a market cry for clogged arteries. I found this both unhealthy and inedible. The wings were horrific! A battered blob of nerve and fat coated and disguised as food. They were picked apart to find chicken, and basically 80% was thrown out! Finally, my Cesar salad was a ton of chopped iceberg, romaine and croutons- no dressing! For $9, I could have bought several heads of plain lettuce! I was told it must have been forgotten. No apology, no alternate offer. It appeared the owner felt his position was to defend and justify poor food quality and poor service. I politely said I called to give him an opportunity for explanation or correction before posting any negative review. I was told to do what I had to do , and this is it! Very, very poor customer service and very, very terrible food. Will never be back!"

"This lovely, unassuming place was a revelation! In contrast to the normal burger- and hot dog-focused eateries which dot the Catskills area, this charming cafe serves genuinely home-made food, expertly yet lovingly prepared. We ordered the meatloaf dinner and a BLT sandwich. The meatloaf was tender and delicious, the gravy was not cloying or syrupy, and the mashed potatoes were just perfect. Of special note was the coleslaw which had the perfect level of crunch and not sweet as mass produced coleslaws usually are. The BLT sandwich on rye was another example of expertise in making a simple item which most restaurants get wrong, but Creekside Cafe got it right! The accompanying potato salad was fresh and was dotted with egg yolk which was an especially nice touch. All in all, this little gem of a cafe is a must visit in Grand Gorge. Avoid the huge factory -like places nearby and enjoy a great meal here in a calm, family atmosphere."
