"The food was tasty, and the prices were reasonable. Our waiter at the bar was very helpful with our orders. We were undecided about what to get, so he customized our plates for us. I had a choice between cheese and chicken mole enchiladas, and he suggested the #1 special plate, which included one cheese enchilada, one mole enchilada, a tamale, and a crispy beef taco. One of my friends was considering the bacon-wrapped shrimp, so he added two of those as a side. I also recommended the tortilla soup, which has received great reviews; my friend agreed and ordered it as well. The chicken mole enchiladas were sweeter than what I’ve had at many other places—not the sweetest I've tasted, but definitely on the sweet side. However, the shredded chicken inside could have used a bit more flavor. The bacon-wrapped jalapeños were quite spicy, so unless you love heat, a full order might be too much for one person to handle as an appetizer. I had visited this restaurant several years ago and decided to give it another chance since San Antonio has so many Mexican dining options. Overall, it was a good experience, and I would definitely return to try more dishes."

"1 of the 5 of us thought the food was good. We only saw the server to order food, and again when he brought it out. We had to go to the register (only one for the whole restaurant) and wait in line, then tell them where we sat because we never got the bill. Definitely do not recommend, and will not return. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30"

"I wasn't particularly impressed with the food. The taco meat was bland and seemed to lack any noticeable seasoning. The pork tamales were decent but also suffered from the same issue with the meat. The portion sizes were very generous, larger than I anticipated. My wife enjoyed her taco salad, but she had the same problem with the unseasoned meat. The prices were surprisingly good, which I didn't expect at all. Overall, it's not the worst Mexican food I've had, but it won't be my go-to for a Mexican dinner."

"I've been coming here for breakfast for years, and I was a bit concerned that the food might have declined with the new management. However, my breakfast was just as wonderful as ever, if not even better! I was pleasantly surprised. I highly recommend Kingsbridge for breakfast. There's also something new that I can't comment on just yet: they now have a full Indian menu. I'm a fan of Indian cuisine and plan to try it out in the future."

"Delicious food and super nice staff. Large patio with umbrellas for lovely al fresco dining. The chips and salsa are great. The green sauce had a good kick to it. The ceviche Acapulco is so good with the jicama and cucumber and limey-tomato sauce. The fried bananas order is fairly large and perfect for sharing. Overall great atmosphere and attentive service to enjoy the yummy food and drinks. Highly recommend!"

"The enchiladas verdes were also a highlight – the sauce was mild with a slight tang. I ordered an Agua Fresca de Jamaica, which was impressive in size and quite concentrated. I didn’t mind, though, as I diluted it to my taste, making it feel like I got nearly two cups for the price of one! Regardless, it was delicious, and I highly recommend it. For dessert, I tried the Deep Fried Ice Cream, which was a first for me, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The shell around the ice cream had a cereal-like batter that was lightly sweet, perfectly complementing the vanilla ice cream inside. The whipped cream was a delightful addition that enhanced the overall experience. I recommend this restaurant to anyone who appreciates authentic Mexican cuisine. The staff was friendly and attentive, contributing to a wonderful dining experience."

"This place was excellent for us. The server was nice and she was working hard to satisfy her customers. They probably need more staff. There is free parking on the premises and the food did not disappoint. The Chips and Salsa was fantastic (which is my favorite thing at Mexican restaurants) and our dishes were excellent/fulfilling. The food was so good that we contemplated returning there to eat on a 3 day road trip."

"3.5 stars. It's a bit over priced because it's average. We found this place while searching for dinner places. It's located in a plaza, next to a bar with pool tables. The plaza offers free parking. 5 stars for the employee who was patient and attentive. He answered our questions and when he didn't have the answers, he went to ask the cook and accommodated us. The enchiladas were average. I ordered green and they weren't spicy which I loved. My partner ordered the enchiladas with shredded beef and red sauce. They had more spice than mine but still great for those who like red salsa. My sister ordered the Flautas. She said they were decent. The platter itself looked appetizing. Overall, it's a great place if you are staying nearby and want Mexican food. Is it authentic? That's for you to try and decide since we all have different tastes. My sister who cooks Mexican food said it's decent Mexican food. I don't cook, so I enjoyed it. LOL Also, they have a bathroom, one stall. They have high chairs for kids and a kids menu. Our baby didn't like her taco and preferred the Flautas. The taco was basic."

"I've been a customer for 27 years. During the last few years the food and cleanliness has gone downhill. Something is wrong with the salsa. It bubbles like it's carbonated and the bubbles make noise! I've had to return the salsa the last three times I bought it as it goes bad the next day (it never used to do that). Also, the last time I dined in there was at least a half an inch of black dust on all the decor and lights. Unfortunately, I won't be back again."

"Be careful. People here told me they were 'T KEEP TRACK OF THEIR GIFT CERTIFICATES. Most restaurants track their certificates at least with the serial number. They don't. I know that because today, Saturday, I visited there, far ahead to take my family to an expected dinner on Sunday; I had a $50 gift certificate from my sister for my 77. birthday. (We went to El Toreador earlier when we were in school uniforms. This morning I couldn't find the certificate, but I had a picture that I had taken with other gifts. My name appears on the certificate and a serial number and an issuer signature (Sees as Esperanza . Today I went to the El Toreador to see if they would honor the certificate on the image with all the information so visible. The young man who was present was obviously suspicious and wanted to know where the original was. I lost my house. I asked if they didn't track the serial numbers. We can't! , he said. Another employee or manager came in and said I should go. The young man spoke to my sister (the buyer on the phone) and immediately brought up my behavior as a problem and not the question of accountability of gift vouchers. The two people there tried to force me out of the restaurant and pointed to my age. Fifty dollars are very little money for me to go through the troubles to cheat El Toreador and cause trouble. I wanted to take my family from four there on Sunday night. I would have spent a lot more than $50 for that. This is all a shame because I have some childhood memories to the place. It's also a shame because they keep my sister $50."

"The food here is extremely inconsistent. The tostones were overly salty, and the pernil was dry. When the delivery arrived, the green sauce had accidentally spilled all over the bag. They even buzzed the wrong apartment, which meant the food had to go back to the restaurant. It was raining, and when they finally brought it back, everything was soaked and cold. They didn't even bother to replace the bag. The delivery driver was frustrated about having to return and was a bit rude. I suggested he speak to the person who answers the phone since it wasn't my fault he had to make two trips. He complained about getting wet, and I pointed out that it was just water—he wouldn’t melt. Overall, this place is a complete disaster. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone and will never order from here again."

"In my opinion, there are far better Mexican restaurants available. While the food was decent, it didn't impress me enough to return, especially given the numerous unnecessary rules they have in place. Upon our arrival, the waiter offered us “chips and guacamole” as if it were a standard starter, but we were surprised to find a $15 charge for the guacamole on the bill. They also don’t allow side substitutions, and the rules for unlimited cocktails are quite strict (if one person orders it, everyone at the table must as well). Additionally, the prices on the menu are generally too high. I won’t be returning to this restaurant."

"Good Mexican food in the heart of the Theater District. I've eaten here twice in the past two months and it doesn't disappoint. Food is fresh, delicious and plentiful. I had the chicken fajitas and it was great. It was enough for two people and comes with a small side of rice and beans. Burrito bowl was another hit at the table. Only complaint was that the drinks were slow in coming."

"The highlight of my visit was definitely the valet parking, haha. Unfortunately, the food was just mediocre at best. I've been here multiple times, and it's always the same: a lively atmosphere with a big crowd, but the Mexican food leaves much to be desired (and as a Mexican, I can say that!). The service was slow, though the staff were very friendly. The place has potential, but both the service and food quality need to live up to the vibrant atmosphere."

"I wasn't sure what to expect when my friend chose this restaurant for our meet up, but I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious everything was. I had the boozy burger, which was cooked perfectly to medium and incredibly juicy and tasty. The smoked cheddar Mac and cheese side dish was amazing and the fries were cooked to perfection, perfectly salted and seasoned. Lastly, we tried the bread pudding topped with vanilla ice cream, which I highly recommend to anyone visiting this place."

"Wow, where should I start? As soon as I entered, I was greeted with warmth and friendliness. The food was served hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious. The prices are quite reasonable given the generous portions. I truly believe this is one of the best restaurants on Georgia Avenue. It's a delightful place for a wonderful dinner with friends and is very family-friendly. They also have a bar and a private area that can be reserved for private dinners or parties. Overall, it's simply outstanding!"

"I've been here about 10 times and every time has been a pretty good experience. If you're looking for a more authentic taste coupled with a colorful atmosphere, this is your place if you are in Ballard area.Surely you could get the same authenticity with trucks or restaurants, but this place beats then for the vibe and location. Plus, the service is always great.Above all else, this place makes THE BEST HORCHATA LATTES, I dream about them all the time. In fact, I've never seen any other restaurant offering this delicious treat. In summary, if you're looking for a consistently good experience and delicious food without the pretentiousness- visit El Moose. My personal favorite is their Chilequiles for breakfast. Always with the green sauce."
