"My husband and I always order breakfast from this place every weekend, but today we decided to go in person. I have to say that Ana Maria provided us with amazing customer service! She was helping out every single table in this place, but she was providing excellent customer service to every single one of her customers. In regards to the food here, it is very good and affordable. The coffee here is one of the best for me. I strongly recommend this place, not only because of the good food, but also for the great customer service you get! Also a shout out to Antonio who always takes our orders on the weekends and is also a very friendly and great worker! Great job Capitol Diner!!! My husband and I appreciate your hard work!"

"I have booked this restaurant to celebrate my birthday for a total of 9 guests, as we said in the hostess, there is no reservation and they do not table reservations. Take care of yourself. I have another confirmation text. Please note the booking here as they should not even allow this. we sat after talking to the manager, but that would have been bad if they had no availability. it was a very busy Sunday!"

"I was surprised by how small the portion of the Mexican Lettuce Wraps was when I ordered them for delivery. It's my favorite dish that I have ordered many times at the restaurant. The guacamole was a dark green color and had a very mushy texture, making it seem not fresh. Although dining in at the restaurant is always a pleasure, I will be more cautious before ordering for delivery again."

"**Ambiance:** The restaurant has a lovely decor, particularly the light fixtures in the patio area, which I thought were very appealing. However, the music was excessively loud, making it difficult to have a comfortable conversation. If you're looking for a lively atmosphere, this place suits that perfectly, but for a more relaxed and civil experience, it falls short. **Food:** I found the guacamole to be quite good, but my main complaint is that they don’t provide enough chips for dipping; we had to order additional chips. They also skimped on the salsa, which was disappointing. My brochette was flavorful and the vegetables were excellent, but the rice and beans were only lukewarm. The presentation of the dishes was impressive as well. My partner, however, was not pleased with his steak, describing it as terrible. We were also not fans of the tres leches cake. **Service:** The hostess greeted us warmly, and our table was ready right away. Initially, our server was very attentive, suggesting we order shots and upgrade our drinks. Unfortunately, things went downhill after we received our entrees. Service became nearly nonexistent; nobody checked on us to see if we were satisfied with our food or if it was cooked to our liking. It took nearly an hour for us to receive our check and settle our bill. Overall, this restaurant was a mixed bag for me, and I don’t think I would return."

"this is one of my favorite restaurants, and we came here to celebrate his birthday. it's been a long time since we've been here, not just because of the pandemic, but also because of my life that's been out of the country for several years. my son, his wife and I had a fantastic time. eating was delicious, plentiful and funny, the service was so friendly, and the ambiente was great. we came to lunch, so the atmosphere was calm. we loved the big Christmas tree and the fire in the fireplace. the charm of the city ellicott does not harm either. we loved our culinary experience and lood forward to go back to la palapa soon."

"Today was my first visit. I ordered beef and cheese enchiladas with rice and beans. I was shocked at how good it was! The flavor of each individual item was way better than other Mexican restaurants in the area. It tasted like fresh, homemade ingredient with love. My only disappointment was the chips are fried in the same fryer as flour tortillas and I have celiac disease; however, my server knew what to sub in my meal to make it work. Perfect hole in the wall spot and I will be back. Service was great as well."

"I can only give this place one star because I couldn't give it zero! The food was awful—from the tamales to the tortas to the quesadillas; it was so bad I ended up getting sick before we even left the restaurant. It honestly tasted like they pulled our food out of the trash. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone! They have a lot of glowing reviews online, but keep in mind those could easily be from family and friends inflating their ratings because the experience was truly dismal. The service was just as bad. I'm not the type to skip out on a bill—I always pay—but I will never return, and I'm doing exactly what I feel is right by leaving this negative review. Save your time and money!"

"My extended family comes here multiple times a year and the staff know them. My immediate family comes here once every 5 years. We went for Mother's Day brunch which sounds like an odd choice. They have traditional breakfast options including things not on the menu like crepes. The breakfast burrito seems to be a hit. It's gigantic and shareable. The portions in general are huge. I had a chicken fajita skillet which didn't come with tortillas. I asked for them and they happily brought me some quickly. Everyone loved the food. This place is somewhat known for having really slow service. This day didn't disappoint. I think from the time we sat down to the time we started eating it might have been almost an hour. They weren't that busy either. If you come here, plan to socialize and relax. It's not a place to eat quickly. I think that's great in many circumstances. The prices seem to be super reasonable too!"

"When it comes to breakfast, I typically go traditional am not looking for anything fancy. This place fits that bill. It's a shabby little diner with a cozy feel to it...it's cute. My husband's go to for breakfast is an omelet...he got the Denver omelet and I got bacon and eggs with hashbrowns, both standard choices. Our food was good, it came out in a timely manner and the service was friendly. The prices were in line with other places we've gone (I'm not talking Denny's grand slam or McDonald's prices). All in all we enjoyed it and have nothing to gripe about."

"Our first time to eat at this restaurant. It’s a decent place if you’re in the mood for Mexican food. The food is really good, the interiors are festive, the ambiance excellent, and the service fast. The staff are really courteous. Price is a bit expensive though. A glass of soda is $4.0 each. I ordered Carnitas, it cost $19.0 while my mom ordered a mix of chicken and steak fajitas which cost $21.0. Recommend this place if you’re not on a budget."

"very nice very clean restaurant took forever to order food one waitress on duty. 4 o'clock on Sunday afternoon you would think they'd have more waitresses but that wasn't the worst. The food was considerably overpriced for the amount of food you get I ordered a shrimp dinner $31 for six shrimp. No sides were included came only with the six shrimp and a piece of melon to stick the toothpicks in. Bartender had no idea what a hurricane was made me a Long Island iced tea instead. Very very disappointing."

"I went to this restaurant for a group dinner. We started with Orange Juice, but it seemed to be made from juice powder. We waited for 45 minutes or more to receive our food. The taste of the food was average. The ambiance was nice with plenty of seating. The service was okay. Overall, it was a dine-in dinner experience with prices ranging from $20 to $30 per person."

"Nice place, little overpriced. Ambience: great Food: better Service: Self service Parking: can be a challenge, I got it quickly. Staff: friendly and nice With a little overpriced menu, I wasn’t disappointed at all. Food was tasty. You have a huge display of menu, pick what you want and then grab a tray and go straight to the server. Tell them what you want and they will make the plate right in front of you. And you also get to pick breads and desserts as you walk up to check out. They have Android Pay, no Apple Pay. Will try them again for dinner and see how it goes."

"If you are looking for a lowkey, relaxed, not so expensive, but tasty, fast Date Spot Dr Limón from FIU is the mood! From the second you sit you are welcome with a Leche de Tigre shot, roasted corn seeds and a sauce that was delicious! The servers are super friendly and if you? alternating like me, they are so helpful to connect you with the best dishes. The food comes out quickly, which is quite nice, from the time I sat until I munching it wasn't more than 15 minutes. I ordered the Shrimp Truffle Roll (8.5/10 when you enjoy truffle, this is a walk), a hidden menu special ceviche suggested by my server obviously Peru Campeón, which is basically served the Centro de Lima Ceviche with Leche de Tigre instead of lime juice, is a cup (7/10), and the Lychee Flor de Jamaica cocktail (3/10). My server had recommended me the Marajito who seems to be the best cocktail, I have to say I beat the bag with this one. Look forward to a return to the Marajito safe and other dishes on the menu that looked delicious!"

"While driving to Laughlin, my husband and I decided to stop for a meal at Los Domingos in Barstow. Instead of opting for the usual drive-thru burger and fries, we chose to dine in. Just a heads-up: you might miss the entrance, as the restaurant is situated in the hotel lobby. Our server, Alisha, was delightful and managed to stay calm despite the crowd on a Sunday evening. We started with shrimp ceviche, which was decent, but my Cubano sandwich was delicious. My husband ordered the NY steak with a lobster tail, and to my surprise, the steak was cooked perfectly; I wasn’t expecting that from the looks of the place. On the downside, there were a few flies buzzing around our table during the meal. Despite that, I would definitely consider returning to this spot."

"I recently dined at Pescador, expecting a culinary delight, but my experience was far from satisfying. Firstly, the prices at Pescador are steep, which I would have overlooked had the food quality and portion sizes been up to par. Unfortunately, this was not the case. The portions served were disappointingly small, making me question the value for money. Furthermore, the taste of the food was underwhelming. Each dish lacked the flavor and finesse one would expect from a restaurant with such high prices. The seafood, which should be a highlight at a place named Pescador, was particularly lackluster. Overall, my visit to Pescador was a regrettable experience. The combination of exorbitant prices, meager portions, and mediocre taste makes it a place I cannot recommend. It pains me to say, but Pescador is a total rip-off. Places like this shouldn't exist."

"We started with appetizers, sharing the Grilled Octopus and the Cold Spread Sampler, both of which were delicious. The Skordalia was packed with garlic, and I couldn't resist slathering it on my bread. For our entrees, we each chose something different. My husband enjoyed the Moussaka, while the Kalamata Dinner, which features a combination of five dishes, offered a delightful variety, leaving us with leftovers for lunch the next day. The Gyro plate was a hit, too; my companion devoured it without sharing any. I was particularly impressed by the Grilled Vegetable Shish-Kabob, which was beautifully presented, and the veggies were perfectly cooked and seasoned—definitely something I'll order next time since I love vegetables. The Chicken Shish-Kabob also looked impressive, and we took home leftovers from that as well. As for my Grilled Chicken Breast, it was a tad dry, which is typical for chicken breasts, but the rice topped with homemade tomato sauce was worth every carb, even for a diabetic like me. We couldn't resist desserts either. The baklava was the best I've ever had, and we also tried the lemon bar, chocolate mousse cake, and Galaktoboureko (a custard-like dessert). We almost licked the plates clean! Would I recommend Kalamata Kitchen? Absolutely, yes! We definitely plan to dine there again."

"As a avid fan of Cibao for many years I am extremely upset as to how the menu has changed. I have ordered over six varied items over the past 3 weeks and they ALL tasted the same! Beyond bland is basically the only thought I have to offer. I was a major fan of the grilled chicken over a house salad. Lettuce, tomato, cucumber, with avocado on top. The dressing was delicious and flavorful. I ordered this 2 weeks ago. It had lettuce, tomato, red+ green peppers, No avocado. It had tons of kale or cilantro and the dressing tasted like it was watered down. Today I had the grilled chicken plate and there was lettuce and tomato in the dish, NO dressing nor flavor. I also ordered a chicken plate that was supposed to be a stir fried chicken with flavor. With the exception of heavy cilantro it tasted the exact same as mine. There seems to be NO seasoning in any of the dishes. The New owners SHOULD have sat down with the previous chef and staff listening exactly to their menu and NOT have gone and changed anything. I feel bad as I am sure many other repeat customers will feel the same way. Food: 1"

"If I had to nitpick, I'd say the half lobster tail on my paella was a bit overcooked, but they really piled it on top of an already generous portion of paella. There was an abundance of fish, mussels, clams, and calamari, and the portion size was enormous. The saffron rice was truly delicious! My girlfriend's sandwich was everything you would hope for in a great Cuban sandwich—tender pork, salty ham, plenty of mustard, and more. I also couldn't resist ordering the flan, because, well, "when in Rome." It was also delicious! You should definitely check this place out; you won’t be disappointed!"
