"I don't usually write reviews, but I felt compelled to share my experience at Modern. Unfortunately, it was quite disappointing. The cleanliness of the restaurant left much to be desired, and the service was lacking. This establishment used to be a favorite in Walla Walla when Ken Hui owned it, but it seems to have lost its way. I can't recommend it at all, and I'm honestly surprised it's still in business."

"Bad service, it was booked in advance for a birthday, it was not received like other restaurants, it was never mentioned that it was a special occasion (birthday), not even in the dessert, and the piece of meat like it was in Water thawed, tasteless, uncooked and hard, I don't think we will be back, this is the third time we go and it was very bad, I don't recommend it"

"This was the best Chinese take-out we've had in decades! This place has absolutely ruined us for Chinese food in our home state. Be careful what you order because the servings are pretty big. We ordered what we'd consider to be a regular meal but had a lot of leftovers. The food was piping hot and delivered in what felt like 10 maybe 15 minutes at most. There's no way we're going back to key west and not eating here again.."

"I've been at this location a few times and the service is a bit slow as they're under staffed and say that they are. So not a place to zip in and out. It'll be a while. However this time I came in to get an order of my favorite soup Thom Ka as an entree. Not a cup but a bowl. I didn't call ahead and placed the order at the counter. A woman working the front was yelling orders into the kitchen and there seemed to be just one man as a waiter with no food runners. That was all I ordered and went to sit at the bar stool type table across the from the front counter. I paid and tipped in the jar. She didn't ask my name and o was the only one waiting on an order. While I sat there some people came in to be seated. The waiter came by and told them to find a table as he hurried on to other customers. Then a woman came in and was immediately annoyed that she was greeted and seated. After a bit a man followed her in and within a a couple minutes was telling the woman at the counter who was perched there but yelling out orders to the kitchen. They got mad, said she was tacky because she was yelling and told her off and left. Right after that incident, she barked at me that my order was up. She could've come over and handed it to me but didn't want to get up from behind the counter. When I saw the small container, I questioned her that it was a full order but she said that it was right and coconut milk is expensive so they charge 15$. Either I've gotten lucky in the past there or....what I really think it is, that the container they provide is all they put in instead of offering it in a whole pint container. They stick it to the customers ordering takeout. The soup is super yummy but unless you dine there, it's a snack size to go and yet you pay the same amount. I was so disappointed leaving after 19$ with tip for this small portion. I know food has gotten more expensive but that is ridiculous."

"It's alright. The food: Good. Not bad. Not amazing. Just solid. The service: Great. We went on a busy day, but they were attentive. Got rid of empty trays whenever they could. Self service area: There's a buffet style station for vegetables and noodles. This part feels more like a whole-in-the-wall. Extra notes: -The dessert was delicious. Fried bread rolls with condensed milk. -Costs extra to split both."

"We had an interesting amazing time Dining in with Cluckin Good. Food was flavorful portion size was enough. Service was fast and the staff we're very attentive. Though, signage of the restaurant as advertised should be properly displayed outside as it created a lot of confusion. Yes, we we're looking for Cluckin Good but The River Thai Cuisine was advertised. We checked a couple times on our GPS if we we're in the right place. Good thing, interiors we're visible enough so we had to get inside and inquire what is really the situation. It's a facility that caters to 3 restaurant cuisines Thai, Korean Singaporean) Staff explained we get our excitement back. Ordered our food and the rest is history."

"The restaurant is beautiful and therefore they get a 2 star. I recently ordered a shrimp sesame appetizer. It was terrible. The shrimps were the precooked and if u deep fry or fry get some hard and have no taste. They were warm. This restaurant has a very limited menu. When I asked if I could order shrimp and broccoli, I was told it would be for dinner price of 21.00. It was really lunch!!!! The girl at the bar to take several orders was very rude to contradict most requests from other customers. I had great hopes in this place and will never return now."

"My friends and I ordered spicy cashew chicken, pad kee mao, and beef combo noodle soup at this restaurant. We do not recommend the spicy cashew chicken as the chicken was tough, flavorless, and had a bad aftertaste. My friend couldn't finish his dish because of it. The pad kee mao was tasty but extremely salty, requiring me to dilute it with water. The beef soup noodles were good, but the soup was also very salty. The overall quality of the food here is inconsistent, so be cautious when ordering. Additionally, the service was slow due to a lack of staff, especially during peak hours."

"All the reviews with three stars or below are outdated. I visited this restaurant with my family, not knowing what to expect, and I was thoroughly impressed. I'm not usually a fan of Chinese food, but this place has quickly risen to the top of my list of Chinese restaurants. The chef really knows how to fry; their chicken wings were far superior to those at San Tung. They were so delicious that I almost didn’t want to share them! I hope more people give this place a chance, despite the negative reviews. The service was excellent, and I didn’t encounter any rude staff. The ambiance is typical of older Chinese restaurants, but it didn’t detract from the experience. I will definitely return soon!"

"After picking it up and bringing it home, I was really looking forward to enjoying my meal. However, to my disappointment, the chicken was not spicy at all. Instead of adding heat, the staff had simply thrown on some jalapeños, which I assumed would do the trick. To my surprise, those jalapeños were also bland and lacked any real spiciness. It was as if they had pickled them in water! I was left confused and frustrated because all I wanted was some deliciously spicy General Tso's Chicken, and instead, I ended up feeling disappointed. To this day, I'm still not over that experience."

"I've had the opportunity to do both takeout and dine in. I would recommend dining in since the atmosphere is nice and casual; you also get the food when it's hot! "My friend and I really enjoyed ourselves at Maxi's Noodle. It was my first time in Flushing, so it was an awesome first meal. The staff were very pleasant and gave a lot of great recommendations on things to try. No matter what you order, you will not go wrong. Everything from the wontons to the beef stew to the egg noodles were perfectly cooked. You can tell that they really care about the quality of the food. Highly recommend."

"I wish I could rate the Warehouse but unfortunately we did not dine there as planned. I made reservations for my nieces birthday a week in advance. When we arrived the menu was everything but their typical menu. I picked this place for the noodles because my niece loves that. Unfortunately they weren’t able to get their normal foods in, I’m certain it’s due to COVID. Either way I was not contacted prior to our reservations to notify me of this. I did receive a text from them to confirm my reservation the day before. So we showed up, found out there was no normal menu, just what they were able to throw together from a local store I’m sure. We had to scramble to pick another restaurant on a Friday night downtown at all while a DJ was blaring music. If the music is always like that, I definitely would not return anyhow."
