"I was hesitant to make reservations at this restaurant, but we had out-of-town guests and used Open Table for 7:30pm. When we arrived and sat down, I noticed it was exactly 7:32pm. We waited for 25 minutes without even being offered water. The host walked by us and seated other tables nearby, and three different waitstaff were present but avoided making eye contact. It was not very busy for a Saturday night, so there was no excuse for the lack of service. Eventually, we decided to leave as no one seemed to care about our experience. Our meal and service at the next restaurant were much better than anything we would have received at this poorly managed and overrated establishment."

"I was called by Tom George to let me know that they were not going to be serving brunch during the summer months, only dinner. The hostess was very nice and asked me to reschedule for dinner which I did. The hostess also offered my party a round of drinks for the inconvenience. So I arrived at the restaurant at 6 pm on Sunday as I scheduled to celebrate Father's Day with my family and the restaurant was closed. We were very surprised and disappointed. The restaurant did not call the next day and I decided I will not try to eat there again. So on Sunday I went to LA Chapter at the Ace Hotel where we had a lovely dinner which I knew I would because I have been there before.I do not know whose responsibility it is on Open Table to be sure the information about a restaurant is up to date and accurate, but nothing like this has ever happened to me at any restaurant before."

"My first time at this bar was the first weekend of the new year. I absolutely loved their selection and the cute ‘Beauty the Beast’ library ladder they have to reach all of the liquors!Unfortunately, the next morning when checking my bank statement, I realized I had been charged an EXTRA $20.86 outside of the 21% tip that was already given.This was posted during 2:45AM long after I left by 7PM the night before. Very sketchy..My bank is in the process of getting my money back so that’s great, but I want to be sure for future attendees to give the tip of KEEPING YOUR RECEIPTS! My bank explained to me that’s the biggest factor in one of these types of cases. Otherwise, it’s your word against theirs. And who wants that extra stress!Stay vigilant- even while drinking folks! And always read verify and keep those receipts. Hope this helps!"

"One of my friends ordered fries, and I had a taste. They were incredibly crispy and perfectly salted, so I would definitely order them again! The bartenders were fantastic and exceptionally friendly. They did a wonderful job accommodating our large group and remembered each of us when we ordered more drinks. As for the crowd, the dress code ranged from casual to more dressed-up, which was nice for an upscale bar. I did find the drink prices somewhat unclear, as the menus didn’t list them. For two gimlets, we spent about $24. Catalyst is a great spot for a date night, with inviting alcoves that allow for intimate conversations and a pleasantly dim, romantic atmosphere. The couches and outdoor seating are also ideal for smaller gatherings. Overall, it’s a lovely choice if you're looking for an upscale place downtown with excellent drinks!"

"As my last night in St. Louis, I decided to search for the best steak in the city, possibly even at a Top 10 Steakhouse. Hamilton's Urban Steakhouse lived up to its reputation. The service was excellent, the food was very good, and I had a great time with my colleagues. The atmosphere was enjoyable and comfortable. Our waiter was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. The fresh bread was light and delicious. We started with a charcuterie board, which was perfect for sharing. The bacon fat candle was a creative touch. The Caesar salad was good, but not outstanding. I ordered the 12oz KC strip, which was cooked well but lacked seasoning on one side. The steak was sourced from Midwest farms and was overall very good. The loaded baked potato was decent but slightly burnt on the bottom. The macaroni and cheese was mediocre, tasting like velveta with melted cheddar. The bread pudding for dessert was tasty, though the bourbon flavor in the sauce was overpowering. Overall, Hamilton's Urban Steakhouse is a good restaurant with a solid steak near downtown St. Louis. I would recommend it to others, but it falls short of being a Top 10 Steakhouse."

"This restaurant is a gem in the area. I appreciate the prohibition ambiance and the staff are all so good at everything they do. The food is exceptional and the menu is art. The flavors are incredibly thoughtful and the cocktails were very well done. The bar tender was super talented with whipping together drinks. I really enjoyed the rib eye and steak tar tar but honestly I got to sample quite a few dishes and I think anyone would be pleased with anything on the menu. The Chef, Namo Chowcharoen is wonderfully talented and exceptionally kind. His love and appreciation for his customers really shows up in his food. All of the ingrediants are chosen with care and always at high quality for the right taste. He makes it easy to support him in his craft. I am excited to return to The Franklin Room for another meal and I often tell friends about it. I fully belive you will find food to enjoy here and want to come back."

"My colleagues and I had reservations at 12 noon and was seated promptly. Since Burmese restaurant are rear in the area, we were really looking forward to this experience. While we weren't in a hurry, the restaurant was. Drinks were ordered and they pushed to have a food order at the same time. We choose to wait to order the food until the drinks were brought to us. We ordered the Burmese style beef and goat stew as well as the Moh Hin Ga (Fish Noodle Soup). While the sauces of the meat stews were nice, it wasn't spectacular! The stew meats were definitely not tender. If you enjoy tough meat, then these dishes are for you. Additionally, the Moh Hin Ga was lacking in flavor and in my colleagues words: "would not order it again". Also, soft drinks and iced tea and refilled complimentary. Given the rush and the below average experience, will not be going back. Given there their great Yelp ratings, there seems to be a lot of patrons that like it. Maybe we just attended them on a bad day or the normal Chef was not present that day..."

"Tonight we decided to sit at the bar. No one asked if we wanted a dinner menu and I was patiently waiting for someone to notice me looking at them to ask. My husband gave up and asked a bartender who was directly in front of us. Her head was down so hesaid excuse me and she whipped her head up and gave such a glare we almost left. After that he asked for another oldfashioned. He asked me to taste it and I almost spit it out. It tasted like literally eating an orange peel. My husband askedher name. It 's Amber. She asked for his and then told him she 'll still call him that guy. Not a good move Amber. It was prettyinsulting. For the last 30 minutes(while waiting for wings) she 's complained its too slow and has looked at her phone more thanpeople wanting to order. My husband went outside and left his drink. Amber said does he not love us. I said he doesn 't love thedrink it tasted weird. And she dumped it out. No remake. No refund. On a not cheap drink. PS if you 've ever worked at a bar youknow there 's a smell. A closing up dirty rag smell. It smells like that. Thankfully we go home tomorrow"

"I HIGHLY recommends Galley and Garden for special events! I got the 80. My mother's birthday dinner hosted here last week - and Teri (also coordinator was super easy to communicate, and made the process smooth and easy even though I live out of the country. The menu options (instead of a set catering menu was a really nice touch. And the printed cute menus for every place setting! The food was excellent- (I loved the shrimps and grits! and the service was also very personal and professional - especially Jackson, who was very sweet for my mother. It was a very special day, and I'm so glad we had the party in Galley and Garden!"

"Reluctantly, I would recommend this place if you’re with a group. They have a decent selection of beers and a lively, family-friendly atmosphere. However, the ribs were tough and didn’t fall off the bone as expected, and the salads lacked flavor—they were quite basic and unappetizing. I think the pulled pork might have been a better choice, though the hot mess nachos were pretty good. I don’t plan on dining here again."

We were finally seated at around 8:37pm, but unfortunately, no one took our drink order or even acknowledged us. We ended up leaving at 8:58pm due to the lack of service."

"This restaurant was really trying to be the third coast by dumping the entire ocean 's worth of salt into their dishes. I have never been so thirsty in my life the day after I ate here. With the number of great reviews on top of the beautiful interiors, I had such high expectations for this restaurant that I happily brought my partner and his father (who traveled from out of the country to visit to the restaurant. Imagine my disappointment and embarrassment for bringing them here, only to be given overpriced and oversalted food. The only redeeming factors of the restaurant were the interior design (absolutely gorgeous , the potholes (delicious but still salty , and our waitress who served us in the mezzanine on 10/8 (I forgot her name, sorry! . When we first got our appetizer--the mushrooms, we were literally eating a spoonful of salt at a time. I RARELY send back food, but I had to send the mushrooms back before the dish induces any hypertensive emergency among us. After we got the new mushrooms dish after telling our waitress we wanted just 1/4-1/3 of the salt, the dish still came back extremely salty and the waitress said the cook apologized for ACCIDENTALLY DOUBLE-SALTING THE DISH. I 'm sorry, but WHAT. All of our subsequent dishes then tasted all just like salt without a hint of other seasoning. I wasn 't sure if it 's because our tastebuds were so skewed after eating so much salt that our remaining dishes just didn 't taste that great. It was just salty. Anyways we walked out with a $260 bill for three people which was outrageous for this quality of food in Milwaukee of all places. I 'm not sure how people are raging about this restaurant. I have sworn to never return and have told others to avoid going to this restaurant altogether. Opt for somewhere else for better quality food that 's actually worth the cost."

"Great customer service. Great fancy drinks. Gave us complementary sparkling wine for my birthday. You could tell the staff works well together as a team. Collard greens were good and spicy. Snapper was good, crab cakes were delicious. My boyfriend really enjoyed the baked oysters. Gave complementary bread with garlic butter. Food came out fast. But the desert took a a minute but it was being baked fresh so they gave us free wine for the wait. Enjoyed the jazz music being played. Everything was great. Would recommend."

"A special occasion restaurant for a very special occasion, our mother's birthday. We gave her an experience and a memory for this birthday ... and she told us she would think about this lovely day, lovely time, for a long time to come. We loved that they seated us next to a big window, with sun, and that we were suitably distanced from other diners in this uneasy time; we felt completely comfortable with masked servers, too. I would like to single out one aspect of our service: It was snowy outside, and Fiona worked with us to get the car as close to the front door as possible for my mom's safety and convenience, and they also allowed me to park my car in the staff area so I didn't have to go back and forth to pick Mom up, too. Just a splendid table, a splendid time for an unforgettable person in our lives. We'll have experience and the memory for a long time to come, too. Thank you!"

"Have eaten here several times. Was surprised that with a reservation we were still sitting at a booth looking into the kitchen. We could have asked to be moved, but we didn't want to. The waiter was very enthusiastic, but failed to fill glasses of water without being asked. My husband's lasagna was a huge brick in the middle of an unadorned plate. A little salad or something green and crispy would have been nice. Not an à la carte fan, especially when it comes to the price of the main course alone. The room was very dark and a bit noisy. I would ask not to sit in this area another time."

"We drove two hours to my husband's birthday brunch on Sunday. We were hoping to sit outside and watch the freighters go by. The outside deck was closed and that was sad as it was such a beautiful day. This was not mentioned on their website. Our waiter Tony was personable and perfect. He was the best part of our dining experience. We won't be back as the food was only fair and a disappointment. There were several options, but the fish was mushy, the beef and peppers were tough, the eggs benedict were overcooked, the bacon was too salty. The desserts were substandard. The peach cobbler was made from canned peaches, the eclairs and strudel were still frozen. My husband liked the waffles, roast beef, ham, and breakfast sausages. Others had told us the food wasn't great but we wanted to eat outside so we took a chance. We should have listened to our friends and family."

"Patroned here for our company Christmas party. This was not my first choice as the place we chose sommmmehow gave our reservation away after I inquired a few weeks ahead to confirm. I chose to call this place on the high stars and good reviews. I thought this place was acting as a lifesaver until I called a second time to confirm closer to the reservation and the manager THEN decided to give me all the details of our reservation that she failed to provide initially such as requiring a per person/charge minimum and that I had to give her more advanced notice if our party count was changing. As I had explained our initial reason for a reservation I thought she would have explained everything to me beforehand to ensure I am aware of all stipulations. I was so relieved initially that they had space I didn't think to ask more questions because she was so reassuring that they have space and they don't require a deposit. When we arrived the restaurant there was ONE couple in the dining room. So, that was odd. We were taken back to the more private room, which was very cute, quaint and very nicely decorated. At first there was only a few of us in our party present which made me think the veryyyyy slow service wasn't odd. However, the service continued to be extremely slow throughout the night. I was denied my request for a wine flight, which seemed odd for a nice restaurant. Even if that's not a menu item I've never been denied the option especially not at a nice place... but I let it go. SEVERAL other party members were somewhat frustrated with the response to their standard and reasonable requests, which seemed off-putting as we typically arn't a high-maintenance party and thought we were asking for very reasonable accommodations especially given the party size. Anywho, the service was EXTREMELY slow... kind of rude and unaccommodating to a very high-paying party and honestly I just wouldn't recommend patroning this place."

"Wow, 4th time 8UP, even better than I remember! Have to shout out our amazing server Annie, she was completely wonderful, super attentive, and really elevated our experience. Everything was delicious, we wanted to try the NY strip too, but it was sold out for the evening.. honestly it did not effect our visit. The potato’s fritters, shrimp and grits, and cheeseburger w/ fries were ALL amazing!! Got the bourbon pineapple upside down for dessert, it killed!! Hope to be back very soon! Thanks."
